Dr. David Sinclair, Harvard professor of genetics and bestselling author, joins ISB co-founder and genomics pioneer Dr. Lee Hood for a conversation about the very latest in aging research. David A. Sinclair, Ph.D., A.O. is a Professor in the Department of Genetics, Blavatnik Insitute, and co-Director of the Paul F. Glenn Center for Biology of Aging Research at Harvard Medical School. He is best known for his work on understanding why we age and how to slow its effects. He has published over 200 scientific papers, is a co-inventor on over 50 patents, and is the New York Times bestselling author of Lifespan. He serves as co-chief editor of the scientific journal Aging. In 2018, he became an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO). Lee Hood, MD, PhD is a world-renowned scientist. Dr. Lee Hood co-founded Seattle’s Institute for Systems Biology (ISB) in 2000 and served as its first President from 2000-2017. In 2016, ISB affiliated with Providence, and Dr. Hood became Providence’s Senior Vice President and Chief Science Officer. He is also Chief Strategy Officer and Professor at ISB. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, and the National Academy of Medicine. Presented by Town Hall Seattle and KUOW.
