What a tremendously beautiful and powerful movie about Franz Liszt and his scandalous affair with an Austro-Hungarian Princess that led at the end to her and his repentance and return back to the Church and The Faith. How we all miss when they made movies that showed the Christian Faith, redemption and repentance, how we all miss the Christian Foundation that made the West as great as it once was before atheism and immorality took over. Amazing interpretation of the role of Liszt by Dirk Bogarde and the film is fantastic also because it is historically very well researched. And also Dirk Borgarde plays the piano (or pretends to) very very convincing. Great actor!

some productions creating those period times actually went to those places to create production design because as Salzburg still has Mozart's house intact... so authentic feel and look can be created and that is how it should be actually in period productions... it becomes more believable especially in musicals.

One more note: I love classical music. I'm more for Beethoven. Love Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Elger, Wagner, Brahams, Handel, Schumann, all of them. There are certain parts of all of their music I love but when it gets into that frantic sound it gets disturbing. However, you can hear the element that Scott Joplin rose from. I love Oscar Pedersen because you hear the classics in him. Definitely Jazz birthed out of classical. However, when Jazz starts getting into the scattered sound I shut down also. When I hear more of the sweet softer melodies merging together I believe it's more in major chords. Could be minor also. Maybe it's the sharps double sharps that sound harsher. I'm not sure because I don't know music. I know when I hear the softer major and minors it is just beautiful.

This is my first time ever seeing this movie. Love Dirk Bogarde! He played the hell out of this part because he shows just how narcissist and selfish these virtuoso's can be. All about themselves and the music which is fine. The music must be but women should never give themselves to these malignant narcissistic maestros virtuoso's. Their music is great but they suck! They need to leave women alone and put their you know what in the piano. Well.. at least he had some money. 😂 😂 🤣

這部電影與當事人真正的生平有明顯的出入。
女主角在遇見李斯特時與丈夫已經分居多年，不應該會一起參加李斯特的音樂會，李斯特見到俄國沙皇的時間是在1842及1843年李斯特兩度赴聖彼得堡舉行的演奏會，遠早於影片的描述，沙皇雖然對李斯特的音樂不特別表達出興趣但也沒有任何可信的記載佐證有影片所拍攝的沙皇遲到的情形(這個故事是在李斯特晚年才經由一位作家提出的)，相反的沙皇后及沙皇的弟媳對於李斯特非常欣賞，李斯特在俄國受到相當的禮遇，但這位親自見過李斯特的沙皇從未同意女主角的離婚，甚至依照當年俄羅斯法律，俄羅斯臣民是不能長期待在國外的，而女主角為了與李斯特在一起，違抗這項法規離開俄國與李斯特旅居德國威瑪，沙皇先是沒收她無法帶走的財產，後來取消她的俄國貴族頭銜，直到下一任沙皇登基後才成功離婚。
但當離婚且女主的丈夫去世後，她卻沒有與李斯特結婚，而保持著精神的聯繫，晚年她住在羅馬專注於研究天主教。

約2年前看過他相關書籍內的回憶錄，印象中好像是因個性的關係時常也有官司纏身的樣子XD

话虽如此,但没人告诉你,Sora 到底经过多少遍的失误率才完成一个视频。
只要是Diffusion技术, 一张文生图也不会一次性生成完美的图片,更不用说是有由多侦副形成的动画了。

謝謝分享。聽到 OpenAI 產品不開源，認為應改為 ClosedAI 才適當。Google 更早也有發表 VideoPoet 的相似影片生成技術，兩家競爭，使用者更能受惠。

我是不知道這邊平常有多少人在接觸AI的技術，我算是有。
Sora有多可怕，就是大家都知道AI能生成影片，也在努力讓AI生成影片，但大家都是幼稚園小學生程度左右的時候，突然冒出了一個大學畢業生...
最可怕的不是Sora算出來的影片有多強，而是生成式AI才多久的時間已經能達到這樣的程度，甚至動畫生成也就是去年才開始有人做的，今天就出來一個完成度到這個程度的東西。

比較期待圖片轉影片，這樣瑟瑟不求人，只是在於兩體之間的互動會不會有問題，但是看到這個Sora對於漢堡等等的互動，看起來應該是不會有太大的問題😂
至於如果禎數不夠，則可以用原本就有的補禎技術進行修補，影片不夠清晰也是同理。
然後每次看到AI相關，一定會有酸民在留言嘴什麼AI好爛，一看就知道AI，AI沒有那麼厲害之類的無知屁話，先想想圖片AI什麼時候才出現的？ 你以為很久嗎？ 才一年欸，再者是影片AI，這類生成AI又是更短的時間就進步到如此程度，現在就是人類已知用火，正在讓火快速燃燒的更旺，在圖片AI出來之前，誰能想的到未來的某天AI繪圖已經可以到一個很強的水準了？ 這些東西用的好不好在於使用者，之前看過FB大神的作品，確實非常厲害，而且是一位已經用AI再接案子的大神，我自己也有碰，但我真的菜太多了，還需多學習。
我非常期待今後生成影片AI的進步，或許未來的某天，就可以自己生成動畫作品，配音方面則可以利用AI訓練聲音再讓他配音，雖然需要有個原音源讓他轉成需要的聲音，所以需要有人配音，但換個方法，也可以利用那些厲害的文字轉聲音的工具，轉完聲音後再讓它聲音轉聲音即可。
現在生成式圖片AI可以訓練模型讓AI去對特定的物體做訓練來實際應用，相信未來若影片AI發布，我相信也會有人能做出這樣給人訓練模型讓大模型理解並輸出，不然現在只能先用靜態圖片轉影片的方式才能實現這點了。

如果要我估，openai 的目的是把影像創作應用在文章理解上，即是可以比較不同文章，甚至做產品設計。可想像把網上資源化成影像來學習，會幾有威力。中國呢? 實在令人有點擔sam。

後面有一句話講錯了，Open AI 其實本來是開源而且非營利的，某種層面來說就是做慈善的。後來才改變策略，變營利最大化，而且超級不開源。

其實說真的AI的未來絕對不是這種純AI自身創作的形式
AI真正有用的地方是如何利用一個可信的物理引擎或者任何工具來達成目的
這個在很多業界都早就已經完美執行在很多特定地方
未來這種圖像生成AI的未來絕對在於如何自動的使用更加高效的圖片生成工具，而不是自己生成
OPENAI如今使用這種土炮方式生成影片真正的目的不是畫圖或者影片
真正的目的是讓他們的AI理解真實世界人類認為的運作方式
而最快檢驗的方式不是用AI來理解AI
而是讓AI來理解人類的需求

不知道是我没听懂，还是你没讲明白，原理并没有搞清楚，我的感觉他是靠图形元素替换和视频叠加产生的，类似于抖音里的变脸，比如那个蹦跑的卡车，就是把卡车的3D模型，叠加到公路无人机拍摄的视角视频里，过渡场景也是如此，还有樱花和雪，就是雪叠加樱花树，樱花树本身也是3D，原图很可能只是电线杆

這些影片或是圖片生成的學習資料庫一定都是未經授權的網路資源....也就是這些公司全都是無恥的擅自利用別人的影片來養成自己的生成AI....這最後一定會有人提起訴訟的,只是生成影片你從結果來看很難看出她到底盜取了多少人的心血結晶罷了,但最後我相信一定會有內部員工出來爆料他們的東西之所以這麼神,就是因為可以無止境的盜取網路上創作者的資源加以利用的關係~這世界上不會有無中生有這件事情.......他一定會有一些基本構成元素是從人類的創作來的,或取越多元素,它進步的速度自然越快

It's a great opportunity to get both of them together but unfortunately I think the interviewer's choice of topics did not make good use of their time. The interviewer pushed the conversation towards more general societal questions, which are important but could be addressed by many other people. I would have liked to hear from both of them more in depth discussions on how AI is being used in industries, a topic that they have a ton of experience in.

30 years ago, we had much simpler, but basically the same in industrial production.
Fully automatic production.
We also had simulated production lines, to optimize production.
Even the process of hiring staff, was automated, where we just scanned the applications, and ran them trough a ocr-program, and had them searched for keywords.
I don’t see why this haven’t spread to almost everything else, very long time ago.

What Jensen Huang said is that processor circuits are reaching their limits of miniaturization, so it's important to make the structure of the circuits themselves more efficient and easier to run software.
At its extreme, it means getting closer to a computer without software.
For example, it would be very inefficient to simulate the brain with a computer that has a completely different structure than the brain.
If you build a computer with the same structure as the brain, you can build a computer that is a billion times faster than the brain.
A computer that runs on hardware without software.

We've hit this point where the advancements in tech & hardware are so capable. We just need to Advance the Software side a Ton now. So game's are easier to make, they run better, are capable of much more. That's what we really need to tap into. We shouldn't have this amazing tech yet it's held back by ancient archaic coding.. hopefully we find ways to make game creation MUCH BETTER.

You can see the slowing down of processing power between 2014-2016 here. (And elsewhere, Moore's Law specifically, from 2005 to the present) that made some people believe that from now on, everything would just keep getting slower lol. I read a very long, impassioned article by a guy arguing that it was all becoming too small and too expensive.
My tech friend said, "That guy's a dummy." Yeah. He was.

It will definitely be interesting to see how this plays out. Based on the very small amount of info they've given about the switches they use for their data center products I'm kind of curious to see if one of their next moves ends up being to dip their toe into the enterprise networking market by making a switch and/or router to compete with Cisco and Juniper. That would be another high margin business that compliments their data center business but I don't think it would really leverage their GPU business. It would focus more on their DPU designs, and I have no idea how the speed of their switch compares to a Cisco or Juniper equivalent.

Oh yes, the H100. In a few years they will combine this chip with the AL8900 advanced robotic system, forming the H-AL9000 advanced AI systems warden.

Wow, they have a bigger moat against the competition than I realized.
Nvidia pulling 4000 open source apps into their "secure" and maintained software stack, is key. Rest assured they will do such a good job maintaining it, and integrate things so well, that existing integrators at enterprises will not be needed. That's a big, and expensive, part of every enterprise software infrastructure group.
And also rest assured that the NVS stack maintained by Nvidia will only run on Nvidia hardware.
In effect the Monopoly that is CUDA will expand to include many AI tools that are currently open source.

Hard to think that we already reached the maximum minimum size for computers so fast already. I wonder when we will start using quantum computers will the old programs , games and all of the date not work anymore...would it become lost media even if it wouldn't be far from the then present

Craziness. I don't see many companies (small / mid size) needing this, but a few will benefit tremendously.
who knows though - lots of robots coming in the future, and they're all going to need the best processing available (likely on server).
The critic in me:
Now they can "discover drugs" instead of using the effective natural ones available from plants...

I wonder how many people today catch the Grace Hopper reference? Commander Grace Hopper (USN) is famous for two things: (1) finding the first computer bug (she was working on a vacuum tube computer where the memory filled an entire room. There was a glitch, so she walked into the memory room and found the cause: a moth got caught in the works. So she pinned it to the logbook with the comment "bug"), and (2) inventing COBOL, the language every programmer hated but became an industry standard. Her idea was to create a programming language using ordinary English words, so non-techies could understand it; now, finally, her vision is coming true.

I will tell you a story, a true story! This was around the time when computers first came out! A group of us was standing around an Altair 8800 and was running this program that was drawing colored lines on the screen, from left to right! By today's standard, it took forever to draw just a single line! All of us one time said, WOW, we were mesmerized by this action of drawing just these simple lines, this was before TRS 80, Apple, Commodore, and Atari. The only other system there was the PET computer!

A highly modularized computer, built not on AI but simply on maxed out GPUs and interconnected
to all available memory/ram all at once. Its all soldered in place as opposed to memory slots and
CPU sockets. And that too has its limits, so they've interconnected maxed out boxes to one another
with fiber optic cable. And within one of those boxes sits an Ai, pretending to be human, that you
can talk too. *did I miss anything, before I can now let AI do my thinking for me.* Or will AI sit there
for the rest of eternity .... until I tell it what to do and or focus on. I see a big computer, that I will now
be able to talk to instead of typing away at a computer screen as I am doing now. *RSI be gone!!*
Ai, go plow the filed and sow some corn ... it can't do that. Ai what mental disease do I have ... it does
not know unless I tell it. Ai, go and check what's in my stool. Its now cornered between a stool and
shit, has a nervous breakdown and shorts circuits itself.

12:07 Unified memory like Apple's M series. For people that are old enough, this seems funny. We used to have unified memory on many of the computers of the past. Eventually, RAM was not fast enough and CPU rate was going to the rooftops. And know we can manufacture high performance high bandwidth memory, and we are going back to Unified memory.

So the future of computing is to use someone else computer aka cloud or be a big company employee so you can access one of this super capable datacenter that now are going to be sold as one "big Gpu". I do not deny the growth of what is going to be possible with this new computing arquitectures it is going to be amazing but I guess I don't see how it is going to be truly democratically accessible to every one. Seems to me that we are heading to a monopolization of computing at times.

How nvidia arrived the number 144 TB GPU memory.
As Hopper GPU has 80 GB VRAM per GPU, and on total there are 256 GPU, then it would be 20480 (80*256).
It is 20 TB VRAM.
How come 20 TB VRAM is equal to 144 GB of VRAM.
Or I believe my calculation is wrong.
Please explain?

Everything will be in the cloud everything will be subscription based. The era in which your personal computer is doing the computing will come to an end. Anyone can be denied and brought to the stone age with a simple denial from the service providers. Why do I say that? Well I work with CAD software and before I could do FEA simulations on my computer and it took days and nights, now I need cloud credits for it. If the cloud is down bye bye capabilities. We need very strong regulations with emphasis on the rights of the client.

Let's see, AMD Ryzen came out late 2017. In 6 years CPU compute has increased WAY more than it did the prior 6 years. In this way Jenson made a statement this is pure fallacy with how much computing WAS improving. If you were to look at 2011 - 2017, AMD was out of the picture. Intel put out a few generations of CPUs that basically each generation was about 10% faster than the last one. Well, if you do that for 5 generations that probably gets you to about a 60% improvement over those generations.
Looking at AMD only because it's hard to do a comparison like this over different companies, we can look at different kinds of computing, not AI because AI compute is done with different cores, not general compute cores, so light applications that are single threaded, heavy workloads that are multi-threaded (breaking up work into piece so each piece can be processed independently, and gaming
I'm ONLY going to look at 8 core/16 thread CPUs. So each core can run 2 threads at the same time. These would be designated as 8c/16t CPUs.
We go from Ryzen 1700X, to the 2700X, the 3700X, the 5700X and then the 7700X. We have to add one more part because in gaming, the technology of adding cache as a separate die, and then attached to the cores, basically sitting over the cache on the CPU benefits gaming performance, so we add in the 7800X3D. The technology is called 3D Vcache, so this is a die stacked on top of a die, and AMD is the first to do this for a general processor for PC computing.
In single threaded applications (light workloads), the performance has doubled.
In multi threaded applications (heavy workloads that can generate many parallel threads) the performance has increased by about 2.25X
In gaming, going from the 1700X to the 7800X3D, the increase in performance is astounding. It's basically tripled. This of course requires a top end graphics card to go with the CPU, because low end graphics cards need lower end CPUs and making the CPU much faster can't make a low end GPU much faster. That's the nature of pairing a CPU with a GPU. You want both to be around the same level of performance.
So, Jenson is wrong about how much CPU compute was improving, or basically LYING since he would know. He overstated it solely to make it look like this is such a huge leap but really it isn't.
What I didn't mention in the above is how highly parallel compute tasks have improved since 2017. This has skyrocketed because we've gone from an 8c/16t server CPU from around say 2016 to now where we have 128c/256t CPUs. Once again the improvements are astounding and WAY greater than the improvements from 2011 - 2017.
The main thing AI does is add another type of computing, requiring another type of core. What he also doesn't talk about is both these AI cores and graphics cores are WAY smaller than a general compute core, so he uses large numbers, but the reality is that big hunk of circuitry and heat sink which is the main weight of this isn't good for general compute. They're good for a specific type of compute and I believe AI inferencing is one of them. For a server that's simply handling data requests this is too much money and a waste. You HAVE to be using these for AI or it's a waste of money. The REASON Nvidia is making a killing right now is because of the huge growth in AI computing, it's not that server farms are switching to these for general computing. And regardless of the growth of AI computing which will hit peak growth at some point and then level out, you STILL need the growth in general computing and graphics computing, SEPARATELY.

I got a weeb standpoint on this, i thought to myself for 10 years now how bad ass it would be if Sword Art Online would be reality, but then i also thought would it even be possible? A Full Dive game world almost bigger if not even bigger then the real world, with all your senses beeing active (seeing, smelling, tasting, feeling...) and in a realtime resolution you couldnt even tell the difference of it being a game or real life, i really thought till now it would be impossible in my lifetime to ever see something that could compute that imense load and now im shook it really could come true sooner then i could have ever imagine, even the Programming of such world would've been near impossible till AI came on the horizon, the only one thing humans have to do them self 100% would be the senses, cause i dont think AI would know how bread with butter would taste like or touching something would feel like... Although the next problem would be with what device could you even dive in such world, my thoughts were on the neuralink from Elon Musk, but how those two thinks could connect to each other its still a mistery to me.
But it is really insane hearing there will be a 144TB "GPU" out there like huh? Insane times we are living in.

Any chance you can look to some videos on companies that actually are less than $100 a share? Most of the stuff you cover are in the $100's of dollars a share, and out of reach for most common investors. Unless they ETF, which is fractional ownership and I'm not a fan of.
Aren't there some companies that went public in the last few years that find themselves in the very place that NVDA (AMD) were 8 to 10 years ago? And we can find them and catch a ride early?
And I understand if you mostly target these types of companies and you choose not to cover early growth Co's?

I vacillate between enthusiasm and intense concern.
It's amazing how things are going.
When mankind uses the new possibilities for the immense
Problems of the present (climate catastrophe, environmental toxins, plastic waste, etc.)
to get a grip on, that would be great!
If AI and ML etc. are only used to increase wealth and power,
I'm pretty bleak for the future...

Still no photonic computing. Still no quantum computing. Even integrated photonics isn't mentioned. NVIDIA is stuck and will not pivot. Just like Moore's law. The only way for them to scale is to move to building-sized graphics cards instead of hand-sized. That might be enough to get some neat AI applications out, but only for the biggest companies. After that, these few giant companies will all continue to squash any attempt at true computational innovation. Even though we have long had the science for more advanced tech, any startups to move past these dark ages would need >$30 billion in startup funds. Good luck with that.
We are stuck, and these giant companies are fine with that. It's the modern day equivalent of oil companies. Only disclosure from the government on secret-tech computing can move us past this.

Finally a product from nvidia that ACTUALLY make sense to pay a lot of money for, this is what I want see more often from agencies who produce products, if you have to make me pay a lot of money, at least give me a good quality, so it's worth it, in the past years nvidia got lost in the gpu market because of high prices and not so high performances and tech issues on top of it

I am an enormous fan of NVIDIA and OpenAI, but eighty percent of this lecture is overly complicated gobbley goop. This tells me that NVIDIA is up to its neck in bogus conversations that inevitably will result in bad decision-making. This guy made several statements that are misleading or wrong, and he uses analogies that are inappropriate, which leads me to believe that this lecture primarily has a market justification. Investors must be concerned that this grand path will collapse upon itself. If I could, I would have asked about the problem of introducing single point failures within parallel architectures, both intentionally and unintentionally. I would have wanted to discuss the problem of architectural entropy, but what do I know. I'm just an old retired motorcycle guy these days.

I'd grow more grass and maybe you wouldn't believe it, but I'd water everything more. because in the near future we will need more meat and grass and water because of CLIMATE PROBLEMS. Consciousness is having a need for an identity , which then describes a need for a meaning and a purpose for the existence of that identity . Social Animals have the pack or mate , their identity comes from that association only . Conscious animals (humans etc) have an 'ego' or individuality (identity) that they strive to maintain, extend and develop 'perfect' . Thus this individual consciousness seeks to know more, to grow its understanding of its own existence , to enrich its identity of its understanding of the meaning of existence , leading to wisdom.
This is why god created the reincarnation process so that wisdom of identity could grow through the conscious experience of material existence and God could know the meaning of existence through giving the universe freewill in its choice of self organisation etc . According to my understanding and the RA contact , The Law of one.

This guy does not know the difference between watts and watt hours. He says it uses 13 Gwh but he never gives a time period. Is It 13 Giga-Watt-Hours over a day, a month, a year, a decade or what?
Power draw has no bearing on performance. I could make my desktop draw more current but it wouldn't be any faster. What we want to hear is performance in peta/tera/giga/mega or whatever flops per watt of energy used. How much work can it get done in how short a time?
I was not impressed with this video, he's just s marketing hack and has no real technical knowledge

This is security holes one after another, completely disregards privacy. Basically they are saying "you can have fast datacenter, but we want your data on our cloud". Whats the point to give permissions for cookies when we will have our hands wrapped for just being able to work with our own data? This is so bad. We practically give willingly our lifes work a copy on their cloud servers, whats the guarantee they wont use that data for their own shady purposes just like all other companies did? Theres no guarantee for anything, they dont even mention this "situation", so "democratical".

It looks as if we haven't quite figured out yet what we are getting into. Simple questions : will it improve our lives ? NO, will it make us happy/content ? It would not take much to now bring down entire industries if all their compute power is in a volume of 300x300x200mm - imagine a terror attack and a single bullet striking this compute unit. Does not seem wise. Impressive yes - practical or smart no.
