In this video, we’re going to talk about some of the health benefits of drinking coffee. Remember, don’t drink coffee if it gives you anxiety, increases your heart rate, or prevents you from sleeping. Too much coffee can increase cortisol and adrenaline, so limit your daily coffee intake to one cup. Caffeine is a phytochemical found in coffee and other plants. Caffeine keeps us awake by inhibiting a compound called adenosine. Coffee can give you mental acuity, help you focus, and improve your ability to learn. It speeds up the rate of metabolism and helps regulate blood sugar, especially if you add MCT oil or butter. Research has shown that coffee may even help decrease your risk of dementia! Here are some of the other potential health benefits of coffee: • Decreases symptoms related to Parkinson's and Alzheimer's • Decreases risk of gallstones • Increases the production and flow of bile • Prevents kidney stones • Has anti-cancer properties • Has anti-inflammatory properties • Has hepatoprotective properties • Contains polyphenols to feed your microbiome • Can help improve postural hypotension • Improves exercise performance • Increases cardiac output • Delays muscle soreness • Decreases symptoms experienced at high altitudes • Increases mitochondrial biogenesis • Increases stomach acid Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 59, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Was drinking 3-4 cups every morning and then hitting the gym. Past year had bad knee joint pain. As last resort quit coffee cold turkey. After 2 weeks all pain went away as well the joint inflammation. I believe I developed cortisol resistance from coffee and exercise. Reset it by quitting coffee. But coffee is awesome in the morning so back to 1-2 cups, so far so good. Update: welp after going back to coffee achy joints started again. Was in pain after playing golf and couldn’t concentrate either. So no more coffee. Don’t care what anybody says, there’s nothing positive about coffee. It’s a drug. 347 Reply 33 replies @cbsharpe0824 1 month ago Love coffee and there isn't a better smell than to smell fresh coffee brewing in the pot first thing in the morning. 324 Reply 17 replies @chrisoulalakkas7935 1 month ago Sometimes when you don't see the road ahead clearly, it can be overwhelming. I usually have 1 largish cup a day, sometimes 2. I began getting indigestion but through watching other videos, I came to the conclusion that I had low stomach acid and began taking betain HCL, which has been helpful. Alcohol sweeteners also gave me indigestion, so I can only tolerate stevia. I had my gall bladder removed many years ago and have had issues with constipation. I do take your gall bladder formula, which also has betain HCL, but I suspected I needed more. Still working on the constipation issue and coffee also helps move my bowels in the morning. She suffers from low blood pressure. Nurse was surprised 31 Reply 2 replies @eldonelder7254 1 month ago I LOVE coffee but I recently gave it up after drinking it for over 45 years. I started going to a naturopath and found I have a congested liver. One of the symptoms was belching and some pain. I'm detoxing and feel much better. I noticed I would start belching and feel bloated much of the time after consuming certain things. Coffee was one of them. I stopped drinking coffee and within a day the belching and bloated feeling went away. After 4 days I tried a cup of coffee in the morning as an experiment and 10 minutes after drinking it I started belching again. My naturopath thinks it may be the chemicals used in the growing and processing of coffee so I am going to buy some organic coffee and see if that affects me or not. I hope going organic works because I would hate to go without coffee for the rest of my life. 36 Reply 12 replies @jmcenterprises9591 1 month ago Interesting-I had to give up caffeine in an attempt to lessen by chronic abdominal pain and it worked. I have green coffee - 50/50% green with roasted beans, with teaspoon manuka honey and teaspoon Xylitol in 1 cup warm UNHYMOGENISED (retains all the fat) Milk. I also will boil 250mls true cinnamon, cloves, ginger, cayenne pepper, Hawthorne and chaste tree berry power boil in water like Greek coffee, then add sweeteners and tablespoon Collagen, then add the warm milk. Awesome morning detox coffee. I also have 1/2 teaspoon Greek coffee (short black) in afternoon with 1/2 teaspoon xylitol with 1 square dark chocolate and glass of water. Great to keep you going till 5pm, but not enough to stop you sleeping in evenings. Since using Xylitol I have not had a tooth cavity in 30 years and a teaspoon of Manuka (Tea Tree) honey in the morning is the ultimate in good health. 1 Reply @sharpenrightservicesllc 1 month ago Watching as I have my coffee. Also alkohol is not good for me , the same like wine ( especially red) I don't like beer, so I don't drink alcohol at all. I love white and green tea. I had meningitis when I was a child - if that helps. I have allergie or strong response from my body ( especially my eyes ) after taking acetylsalicylic acid. I have never had a stomach ache after eating anything in my life!!! I always have a headache first - it usually lasts up to 20 hours after eating and then I have to go to the toilet several times (I have slight diarrhea). I am 182 cm tall and I weigh 72 kg. I have an athletic figure, I don't have any diseases, I had hernia surgery when I was a child and once again at the age of 30, this time on both sides of my groin. I had few appointments with doctors and dietetics unfortunately, none of them was able to help me. I started to have strange symptoms : I had a very long-lasting cough for almost 3 months and now I feel like I have something in my throat and I have to cough quite often - I have such a hoarseness. I started to cure myself using / taking : Candex SIBO 45 Capsules ( contains : calcium, Grapefruit speed, Berberine oregano extract, Reishi) 2. L-Glutamine 500mg 90 Capsules 3. Glutamine power 4. Creatine monohydrate 5. Collagen peptides 6. Zinc Magnesium and B6 7. Vitamin B complex 8. Vit D3 9. AAKG. 10. Probiotics: 60 Billion CFU Pro Bio Cultures Complex - 60 Capsules (Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium bifidum, and Saccharomyces boulardii) Mastic gum Betaine HCl Sometimes I feel very well but them all symptoms returned to me again. Reply @EliShanti 1 month ago (edited) I love your videos, but I want to share what I think about this topic. Up until a year ago, I used to have 1 cup of coffee because I couldn't leave it . Every 24 hours I felt compelled to drink another coffee and from 1 cup to 0 cups was the worst. I felt tired and weird for about 2 months. When I quit coffee, I started to feel more connected to my feminine energy more than ever and for feminine energy I mean I could remember better my dreams, I could meditate easier, I could be more chilled and tranquil. Coffee changes your personality. Coffee helps with the masculine energy which means when you need to do something quick and under stress on the material world. But when you realize that you can do the same thing respecting your pace and you can let go...if you face the fear of not having all under control , this really helps to listen to yourself , your body , your needs. Ps something interesting is that i dont like the taste of it anymore, and i loved the taste. Which only confirms to me, it was an addiction. Kids are the best teachers. They know that alcol, cigarettes, coffee and many times also sugar suck, they are right. For vegetables there s another simple reason: they need to grow and for that they need nurishing food such as animal products. We as adults need also to puritlfy, and detox and so we like vegetables. So my brain is very clean and free of "external" stimulus. And in the very deepest state of ketosis. Eventually I was drinking a cup of coffee a day .. (black with butter, no mct) and I started noticing my mood, my focus, my skin condition going south. Initially I didn't contribute it to the coffee, but the more coffee I drank, the worse I got.. after quitting coffee for a few days, it all reversed, and i were back in a perfect state. Get a PH strip test done ( you can buy cheap ones online ) Ensure you're not on the acidic side. As coffee on an acidic body can cause issues, and you wouldn't even know it's coming from coffee as it builds problems in your body over time. Coffee dehydrates the muscles, and if you are experiencing muscle dehydration on an acidic body - it can cause long term problems that are difficult to reverse. Both my parents are naturopaths, nutritionists and a bunch of other health related titles under their belt. Although I went into a different career ( programming lol ) I grew up with WEALTH of knowledge due to my parent's practice. And we see coffee induced damage a lottt. I've seen all these conflicting videos for years and i still can't find the answer, all these videos saying "quit coffee benefits" but then videos like these that say it protects liver, brain deseases, has antioxidants and prevents kidney stones, anti cancer, all these endless benefits, i just don't know who to believe. Please if anyone can answer the question I've had for years. Reply @ciganyweaverandherperiwink6293 1 month ago (edited) I have no problem with caffeinated beverages after dinner, even PROPER coffee from freshly ground beans and all that, interfering with my sleeping. Hmm, the last time I had coffee that gave me the jitters really badly was from a hipster coffee shop in San Francisco; she asked me EXACTLY what I wanted from my coffee and overdelivered on the brief. It was like some kind of rocket fuel. Can someone who works in the relative industry kindly explain to me how on Earth you make coffee that strong on the caffeine tip?! I make a great coffee here at home and have NEVER created anything that strong. What do they do in these indie coffee houses? And how can I replicate this at home? Reply @starlord6088 1 month ago (edited) All these people saying they love coffee are addicted and are simply watching this video to convince themselves otherwise. Coffee is not good for you. Look at anyone who consumes coffee and you can tell by their complexion that they are poisoned. They don’t sleep well which causes a whole bunch of other issues. And they talk too much. It’s true and you know it. Stop lying to yourself. ️ Reply @antonsiberian 1 month ago (edited) No thanks, I quit coffee recently because of anxiety and some uncomfortable gut effects.
