Alpha Woolf Alpha Woolf 5 months ago One the best So-Bad-It's-Good movies in existence. The first movie was almost competent enough just to be be boring, but this film is pure comedy gold. 29 Michael Telson Michael Telson 5 months ago (edited) Most people have never read the Alan Quartermain books. They are great but the movies depicts him do wrongly. He had only one love interest and that was Marie his first wife who was killed treacherously. Those foundation books were never used for a movie. Alan himself was a scrawny, 5’ 4” English man and was not the love interest in subsequent books, that was for those who funded the expedition. His only child, a son with his second wife who also died young, died of yellow fever after getting his medical degree and founding a medical clinic. The named gun, after his first wife, was a low caliber fowling piece. He was also an only child. Hollywood has done so much to distort the image that H. Ryder Haggard created that they should have renamed the main character. 20 Gerald Brown Gerald Brown 3 months ago Seeing this movie along with James Earl Jones and Cassandra Peterson was very legendary and marvelous! 👍🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 6 Trevor Hansen Trevor Hansen 4 months ago It's the kind of thing you can't stop watching but, your amazed you managed to watch the whole thing through. 11 David Turner David Turner 5 months ago That was a great movie; I got a lot of laughs. The campy worms with teeth. just a good laugh all the way around. Odee Dillon Odee Dillon 1 year ago (edited) Remember taking the wife to see this wayyy back when it hit the theaters. Liked it so much, we stuck around for the next showing. Then went to the music store for the soundtrack. 15 cornbreadthedog cornbreadthedog 5 months ago (edited) They should totally reboot the Allan Quartermain movie series... 13 kermitefrog64 kermitefrog64 5 months ago Great movie. They don't make them like the used to. Tongue and cheek humor and plenty of action. H. Rider Haggard wrote a number of novels with Allen Quatermain as the central figure in these adventure movies. 2 Red Riddler Red Riddler 4 months ago After the whole thunder storm scene with the melting of gold, it made me want too sing some Johnny Cash "I went out walking, through streets paved with gold" - The Wanderer 5 Kit3000 Kit3000 5 months ago I watched King Solomans Mine a dozen times as a kid, had no idea there was a sequal! 28 Zigblat Zigblat 5 months ago (edited) A true classic. James Earl Jones and Richard Chamberlain in their greatest roles, plumbing the deepest depths of complex characters in a sweeping historical saga of Shakespearian drama in a never before seen epic! 11 Tweet Tweet Jones Tweet Tweet Jones 4 months ago (edited) Just think if Rick O' Connell, Jack Colton, & Indiana Jones were all in a crossover-movie together. Their mission: save Allan Quartermain in "Raider's of the Mummy Stone". 5 CougarW CougarW 4 months ago It's great to see Casandra Peterson AKA Elvira still vamping it up. 9 Eddi Hazel Eddi Hazel 1 day ago Always consider this movie a low-budget, bootleg version of Indiana Jones LOL still love it though Alethiometer Alethiometer 2 days ago (edited) The Amazing B movie genre is a creative trip through history I don't want or enjoy CGI or screens sometimes I just want a (enter specific genre here lmao) a simple movie, take a true historic event and just add a few twists OMG there are so many weird 100% true Mahlon Jacobson Mahlon Jacobson 5 months ago I was returning from a safari in Zimbawe with my extended family and staying at the Santon Sun in Johanesburg South Africa. I was the last to get to the lobby , stepped into the elevator and the only one there was Richard Chamberlain ,and then I said your R.C ,may I shake your hand. Why of course,so as he had a suitcase in his left had and the movie hat in his right he put the hat in his teeth and gave me an hand shake.Looking back I should have asked for his autograph but still guite memorable. 25 cornbreadthedog cornbreadthedog 5 months ago Wow. The music score is superb, though. As us
