And each of them is a living organism. And we don't think about the fact that we're this massive collection of cells collaborating to have this conversation” [14:33] “The single most fundamental part of your diet is “sugar is poison.” Right? Sugar causes neuroinflammation - absolutely clear. It causes cardiac disease - absolutely clear, right? Sugar feeds cancers. And so getting rid of sugar is the most important move anybody can make.” [33:13] “One of the things that people should know is we're always developing cancers, the body is always developing cancers, it's just that your immune system finds them and zaps them.” [1:03:37] “Regenerative medicine is the notion that we can use stem cells and exosomes and growth factors to help regenerate our body - to help regenerate muscle, brain, all of the tissues of our body.” [H:MM:SS] “I think the biggest business opportunities on the planet are going to be age reversal and health tech and biotech.” [1:14:46] “Everyone knows about someone who went to the hospital and, “Oh my god, you've got stage three or stage four cancer.” It didn't happen that morning. If you detect cancer at stage three, or stage four, your chance of a cure is like 10%. If you detect it at stage zero, stage one, it's like 99%.” [1:30:06] Follow Dr. Peter Diamandis: Website: https://www.diamandis.com/ Twitter: https://bit.ly/3oQp8M4 Instagram: https://bit.ly/3Btc04h Order your copy of Life Force here: https://amzn.to/3qrXhDa Chapters 489 Comments rongmaw lin Add a comment... He was active, in shape and occasionally worked at a local furniture store where he took heavy bed frames, sleeper sofa frames and other metal parts to the recycling center for the store. He would heave them into his truck easily, go to a convenience store on the way, playfully flirt with younger girls, tell jokes and was an all around funny, pleasant person to be around. I couldn't believe it when he told me he was 93. He showed me his license and all I could do was tell him he had great genes. He told me, "It ain't my genes kid. The secret to a long life is hard work and happiness. I work because I like to and I'm happy because it gives me a break from my wife!" I remember laughing and him telling me "If you ever stay married for almost 70 years you'll know what I'm talking about!" He had more energy and spunk than most guys I knew in their 20's. I had heard he lived to be 102. He was a great guy and I learned a valuable lesson in meeting him. Stay in shape and don't stress so much. 65 Oxxygen Oxxygen 5 months ago This was totally amazing. This new obsession to get 8 hour a night is quite stressful for people like me, because it really is one size-fits-all. I hardly sleep for more than 4 or 5 hours at a stretch(if I am lucky!) because I wake up in the middle of the night. I used to get stressed out about this, which in turn, made things even worse. Now, I just read when I wake up in the middle of the night until I feel tired again. Then I go back to sleep for another couple of hours or even three. This, so called 'segmental sleep' pattern may not suit 9 to 5 people, but is fine for those like myself, who are more flexible in terms of working/living hours. They are aging faster than average due in part to hard work on the project. It also brings up the question: 90% of people make fundamental changes only out of fear and trauma or don't make them at all and our identities (patterns of thinking, feeling, speaking, doing and being) are decades to centuries behind best practices already known. If death is the best way to re-set the identity of a population that has not mastered the science of conscious identity development then it may be bad for the species and planet for any energy to be spent prolonging the natural human life-cycle. I don't want to live forever. I want to live in a culture that embraces the science of consciousness, cultural evolution and identity evolution. 3 Luis Bereciartu Luis Bereciartu 5 months ago (edited) This is all amazing stuff however the scary part is that the groups of people that are at the helm or are financing a large part if not most of these operations are the same or adjacent/subservient to the same people that have shown in the last couple years (or a lot longer for those that have done the research) they do not have the people's well-being in mind. We are less than cattle to them and are treated as such. Our illusions of liberties are more like conditional privileges that the moment that your presence is inconvenient they are taken away and worse you are subjected to a spectrum of terrible things. Adding more tools to the arsenal of ways that we can be proved, examined, quantized and monitored is a double-edged sword to say the least. My hope is in the fact that as these tools become less expensive they are being democratized and people at some point will render the current infrastructure of power obsolete 41 Human Nature Human Nature 5 months ago THE BEST episode! Greg Jackson Greg Jackson 4 months ago This entire book is being written while under the influence of 2 grams of psilocybin mushrooms taken every six hours. I have been taking these mushrooms to treat cluster headaches that I developed when I was 20 years old. I tried every treatment method possible but mushrooms were the only thing that brought me relief. I believe the reason these mushrooms are giving me relief is because it kills the colonies of candida in our stomachs by outcompeting it on a cellular level. I have a theory that the yeast candida sets up colonies inside your stomach that attach to your nervous system and are able to influence mood, personality, intelligence and overall health. I believe that candida enters our system through the use of alcohol, particularly hard alcohol. When yeast produces alcohol it goes dormant, but it doesn’t die. When we consume candida it enters our stomachs where it is able to come back to life and set up mycelial networks in our stomachs that attach to our central nervous system. Our stomachs speak to our brains via the central nervous system and I believe candida sets up a mycelial network that takes over our central nervous system like a parasite. I believe this parasite is responsible for a range of negative emotions including depression, anger, jealousy, resentment, possessiveness, violence, the need for destruction, anxiety and every negative human emotion. It is primarily responsible for fear and skepticism which you are experiencing right now while reading this book. Hard alcohol is called spirits because ancient people realized that it contained an intelligence. The use of plant medicine was able to free peoples minds from the grip of hard alcohol. This knowledge was lost to time, but this is the the theory that I believe. I believe that candida can mutate cells and is responsible for cancer. The reason science hasn’t been able to detect candida poisoning is that our entire society is suffering from candida poisoning and it is clouding our judgment as a society. In addition I believe when we try to pull a single cell of candida out of our bodies it dies when exposed to oxygen. To study the entire colony of candida in our systems we need further understanding of the way our central nervous system functions. I believe with further investigation my theory will be proven correct. I would urge the entire scientific community and world to band together to be able to test this theory with the use of the scientific method and hard data. I believe the reason society is so afraid of psilocybin mushrooms is because candida is influencing our thoughts and telling us that it will kill the colonies of candida in our bodies. This is why mushrooms smell so bad and taste so bad. Candida is able to control our thoughts by attaching to neurons in our brains via a branched mycelial network. Our brains are a branched mycelial network and evolved from fungus. This is why our bodies are mostly foreign microorganisms. Intelligence stems from networks of communication and candida has its own intelligence. This is why it’s able to influence our thoughts, the parasitic fungus is using it’s intelligence to control our thoughts and perception of reality. I believe candida is responsible for many of the terrible concepts that have been thought up over the course of human existence such as religion, war, slavery, ownership, currency, economics, nuclear weapons, sexual taboos, marriage, country and racial divisions, racism and every negative concept that is destroying our planet and dividing our species. I believe that these terrible ideas were all thought up while in a drunken state. Alcohol is dissociative and I believe that when you are drunk candida is literally taking over your body. This is also the reason you black out when you drink, the candida has total control at that point. The intelligence behind candida is obviously malevolent and seems to be hell bent on destroying the planet. I believe as a society we are all collectively suffering from candida poisoning. The reason I am able to see this information is because of the psilocybin that I am consuming. Psilocybin mushrooms contain their own intelligence and it appears to be peaceful, serene and hell bent on saving the planet and our species from extinction. I believe Vladimir Putin is suffering from extreme candida poisoning and it is causing him to put events in motion events that will lead to nuclear annihilation and the end of life on this planet as we know it. I believe the psilocybin mushrooms I am eating are trying to save the world from extinction. I feel possessed while writing a book but I realize now that it is the intelligence of the psilocybin showing me the true nature of reality. The side effects of consuming psilocybin have given me clarity of thought and mind. They have also removed all negative emotions that I once possessed and I have never felt more peaceful and intelligent. I want to save the world and humanity from extinction but I now know my thoughts and actions are being driven by a mushroom that is trying to save society from an evil candida colony that is corrupting our minds, bodies and souls. I also meditate and I believe that it has given me the awareness to receive a message from the psilocybin that has given me answers to some fundamental questions about reality and the nature of life. I would ask the reader to please and kindly keep an open mind while reading this book. I would ask you to please abandoned your preconceived notions of social structures, morality, religion, sexuality, aliens, the origins of life, physics, drug policies, health and fitness, plant medicine, what happens when we die, fungus the fungal family and psilocybin mushrooms, war, poverty, economics, climate change, currency, blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, political structures, ownership, food production systems, psychology, love, consciousness, evolution, marriage and domestic partnerships. This book will cover all of these topics in detail and will hopefully usher in a new era of peace, love and harmony with nature. I know that many people will be skeptical of this theory but you should seriously ask yourself if that is that candida poisoning effecting your mind and judgement. It's ok to accept that we don't know everything. I accept that I don't know everything and am simply offering up theories that need to put to the test using the scientific method. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof and we need to collectively gather proof to test these theories. Hugh Hines Hugh Hines 4 months ago Heavy meat…“It makes me feel so good…and growth is giving my body the signal that everything is abundant, and all is well…so that would explain why I feel good, I can add muscle mass, I feel phenomenal, but I’m not giving my body the signal for longevity…” Am I missing something here? Isn't the feeling of "abundance" something humans have always pursued? Feeling "phenomenal" is a sign of early death? This whole "longevity" thing is just a hypothesis on which a lot of people are betting money on and sacrificing today for some theoretical longer future. And also him talking about the average age of 40 100 years ago is completely beside the point from what his theory is, average age then was lower because of a massive death rate at birth, most people who lived beyond a few years old probably had an average age of pretty close to what we have, maybe 65 or 70 1 Rebecca Castellano Rebecca Castellano 5 months ago For high Cholesterol, Phytosterols work wonderfully!!! Here is my question: Just like we can improve fat oxidation - mitochondiral health without metformin; we can have sufficient NAD+ if we are training well. I mean why this supplementation then? I am 48...i train for an hour and I can lift or run well. The obvious reason because of which am able to do this because I have energy. And if i have sufficient energy then I should have sufficient NAD+? Because without this molecule I cant produce ATP. So why would you need to supplement it? I understand if its being done for research purposes but supplementing to save oneself from exercising is not a good way to reverse age. I don't think any amount of supplement for NAD can produce as good as I can produce naturally if am eating and exercising right. So my question to David, Peter, and you is this - you are all decently young and healthy. Why not you research on ageing without supplementation. If you do not have a subject, catch somebody like me who is in the same age group and does everything naturally without supplementation. Or best, why not you try to exercise well and measure your NAD levels? This world needs more research on healthy subjects to understand the human capabilities. This is called longevity escape velocity, and some experts think it’s only 12 to 15 years away. Of course, getting to that point is multidimensional. It means addressing health from all angles, with personal lifestyle choices, technology, and more. On today’s episode, I’m excited to talk to Peter Diamandis about the future of longevity interventions and why we won’t always have the same idea of aging that we do today. Peter Diamandis is the founder and executive chairman of the XPRIZE Foundation, which leads the world in designing and operating large-scale incentive competitions. He was recently named by Fortune as one of the “World’s 50 Greatest Leaders.” He is also the executive founder of Singularity University, a graduate-level Silicon Valley institution that counsels the world's leaders on exponentially growing technologies. I have so much health anxiety, specifically Cardiophobia. All I want to do is make it to my 90's, if I can get to my 90's I'll do gentle into that good night. But until then, I RAGE against the dying of the light. So if I can have any amount of hope for longevity... Peter Peter 2 months ago (edited) On testosterone: I'm dealing with trying to optimize as my free T is low while T is high (both outside of ref. range). SHBG is high too which might explain the low free T. I eat mostly vegan too with a bit of fish, and consume a lot of oleic acid across dark choc, avocado, EVOO, olive. And TRE. But found in literature that oleic acid can raise SHBG which in turn lowers T conversion to fT. looking at many dietary influences, making changes and retesting. Haven't solved the fT and high SSHBG yet but working towards that. T is highly circadian though, and tends to be highest around 8 to 9a. So test at same time when retesting. Separately, I've experimented with no alcohol and found big improvements in sleep and how I feel on waking, wo will likely just become a true social drinker and stop daily. 2 Youtube Iscruel Youtube Iscruel 2 months ago Does Sinclair ever admit his financial interests? However, you may be able to slow it down and help prevent age-related diseases by adopting a healthy lifestyle. That includes habits like eating a healthy diet, wearing sunscreen every day, and exercising. Especially for us women, we tend to look more stressed and weaker as we age. Everything appears to speed up in our perceptions as we get older. Your body needs all the help it can get. So, for me, I take Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (Vitruvin Nutrition 500mg) every morning with a protein drink and some Greek yogurt. It has radically changed everything. All sorts of problems have mostly disappeared. I have lots of energy. My vision is better, aches and pain are almost gone, and my mental clarity is pretty well. His father was a physician. From a very early age, Diamandis expressed a keen interest in space exploration.[4] At age 8, he began giving lectures on space to his family and friends.[4] At age 12, Diamandis won first place in the Estes Rocket Design Competition for building a launch system able to simultaneously launch three rockets.[5] After graduating from Great Neck North High School in 1979, Diamandis attended Hamilton College for his first year, then transferred to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to study biology and physics. During his second year at MIT in 1980, Diamandis cofounded Students for the Exploration and Development of Space.[6] Diamandis graduated from MIT in 1983[7] with a B.S. in molecular genetics.[8][9][10] He then entered Harvard Medical School to pursue his M.D. During his second year of medical school, he cofounded the Space Generation Foundation to promote projects and programs that would help the "Space Generation"—all those born since the flight of Sputnik—get off the planet.[5] During his last year of medical school in 1989, Diamandis was acting as managing director of the International Space University and CEO of International Micro Space, a microsatellite launch company.[11] In 1986, Diamandis put his medical degree on hold and returned to MIT to pursue a master's degree in aeronautics and astronautics, conducting research at NASA Johnson Space Center, the MIT Man Vehicle Laboratory and MIT's Whitehead Biomedical Institute.[12] After completing his M.S. at MIT, Diamandis returned to Harvard completing his M.D.[11] 2.Career Diamandis has participated on the boards of several companies throughout his career, including Hyperloop[13] and Cogswell Polytechnical College.[14] He has also won several awards in his field, including Economist "No Boundaries" Innovator of the Year,[15] the Neil Armstrong Award for Aerospace Achievement and Leadership,[16] the World Technology Award, presented by the World Technology Counsel, and [17] the Arthur C. Clarke Award for Innovation,[18] among others. International Space University In 1987, during his third year of medical school, Diamandis cofounded International Space University with Todd Hawley, Walter Anderson and Robert Richards.[19] Diamandis served as the managing director and chief operating officer of the university until 1989. Today, ISU offers a Space Studies program[20] and two accredited Master of Space Studies degrees.[21] It has grown into a $30 million university campus headquartered in Strasbourg, France. International MicroSpace, Inc. Diamandis cofounded Microsat Launch Systems, later renamed International MicroSpace Inc.,[22] in 1989 during his fourth year of medical school and served as the company's CEO. IMI designed a small launcher called Orbital Express for taking 100-kg payloads to low-Earth orbit, collaborating with Bristol Aerospace for the manufacture.[22] The company won a $100 million SDIO contract for one launch plus nine options and was sold to CTA Inc of Rockville, MD in 1993 for $250,000.[22] Diamandis joined CTA for one year as VP of Commercial Space Programs post-acquisition.[23] Constellation Communications In 1991, Diamandis founded Constellation Communications, Inc., one of five low-Earth orbit satellite constellations for voice telephony. The company was funded to deploy an equatorial ring of 10 satellites to provide communications primarily to Brazil and Indonesia. Constellation was sold to E-Systems and Orbital; Diamandis remained director until 1993.[24] X PRIZE Foundation Main article: X Prize Foundation In 1994, Diamandis founded the X PRIZE Foundation after the failure of International MicroSpace, Inc[1] and reading Charles Lindbergh's The Spirit of St. Louis.[19][25] He serves as chairman and CEO of the foundation. X PRIZE was created to fund and operate a $10 million incentive competition intended to inspire a new generation of private passenger-carrying spaceships. The prize was announced on May 18, 1996, in St. Louis, MO without any purse money or any teams.[26] The prize was ultimately funded through an insurance policy underwritten by the Anousheh and Hamid Ansari Family and renamed the Ansari X PRIZE in their honor. The $10 million competition attracted 26 teams from seven countries as teams and was won on October 4, 2004, by Mojave Aerospace Ventures, a team run by famed aviation designer Burt Rutan and funded by Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen. The winning vehicle, SpaceShipOne, was piloted to space twice within two weeks to win the competition. The first flight was made on September 29, 2004, piloted by Mike Melvill, and the winning, second flight was made on October 4, 2004, by pilot Brian Binnie. SpaceShipOne was the world's first non-government piloted spacecraft[27] and is now hanging in the National Air and Space Museum adjacent to the Spirit of St. Louis aircraft.[6] In January 2005, the X PRIZE Foundation Board of Trustees expanded the focus of the X PRIZE to address four different group areas: Exploration (oceans and space), Life Sciences, Energy and Environment, and Education and Global Development.[28] Since inception, the foundation has launched the $10M Ansari X PRIZE (awarded),[29] the $10M Automotive X Prize (awarded), the $10M Archon X Prize (in progress), the $30M Google Lunar X PRIZE (in progress), the $10M Qualcomm Tricorder X PRIZE,[30] the $2M Lunar Lander Challenge (awarded), the $1.4M Wendy Schmidt Oil Cleanup X Challenge (awarded),[31] and the Wendy Schmidt Ocean Health X PRIZE.[32] In May 2012, the Robin Hood Foundation announced its plans to partner with the X PRIZE Foundation for several New York-based challenges targeted at eradicating poverty.[33] The X PRIZE Foundation has a staff of approximately 50 individuals and is headquartered in Culver City, California.[34] Its board of trustees includes Larry Page, Elon Musk, James Cameron, Dean Kamen, Ratan Tata, Ray Kurzweil, Jim Gianopulos, Naveen Jain, Arianna Huffington, Will Wright and Craig Venter.[35] Zero Gravity Corporation In 1994, Diamandis cofounded ZERO-G with Byron Lichtenberg and Ray Cronise. The space entertainment company offers weightless experiences aboard its FAA-certified Boeing 727 aircraft and provides NASA with parabolic flight services for research, education and training.[36] The company has flown over 10,000 customers. In 2007, physicist Stephen Hawking experienced eight rounds of weightlessness on a ZERO-G flight. Diamandis said that the successful outcome of that flight was proof that "everyone can participate in this type of weightless experience."[37] He would recount the experience of taking Dr. Hawking into the upper atmosphere at TED2008.[38] Angel Technologies Corporation Between 1995 and 1999, Diamandis was the president of Angel Technologies Corporation, a commercial communications company that develops wireless broadband communications networks.[39] Space Adventures, Ltd. Founded in 1998, Space Adventures is a space tourism company that has flown eight private customer missions to the International Space Station since 2001.[40] Diamandis is the cofounder and vice chairman of Space Adventures.[41] BlastOff! Corporation Between 1999 and 2001, Diamandis was the CEO of BlastOff! Corporation, which proposed to fly a private rover mission to land on the Moon as a mix of entertainment, Internet and space.[42] Diamandis commented on how the initial startup cost for the project was in the region of five million dollars, which was necessary to cover the costs of the servers, bandwidth and software.[43] The company lost funding and ceased business in 2001. Rocket Racing League In 2005, Diamandis cofounded the Rocket Racing League.[44] Developed as a cross between IndyCar racing and rockets, it envisioned enabling the public to enjoy speed, rockets and competitive spirits. Diamandis was the chairman of RRL[45][46] until it ceased business.[47] Singularity University In 2008, alongside American author, inventor and futurist Ray Kurzweil, Diamandis cofounded Singularity University (SU). Today Diamandis serves as the university's cofounder and executive chairman.[48] SU is an interdisciplinary university based on the NASA Ames campus in Silicon Valley and supported by a number of corporate founders and partners including Autodesk, Cisco, Nokia, Kauffman Foundation and ePlanet Ventures.[49] The university runs a 10-week Graduate Studies Program,[50] a seven-day Executive Program[51] and a five-day Exponential Medicine conference.[52] Planetary Resources Inc. In April 2012, Diamandis cofounded Planetary Resources Inc., an organization dedicated to the identification, remote sensing and prospecting of near-Earth approaching asteroids, with Eric Anderson.[53][54] He has also served on the company's board.[55] and Charles Simonyi. Following financial troubles, it was announced in October 2018 that the company's human assets were purchased by the blockchain software technology company ConsenSys, Inc.[56] Human Longevity Inc. In March 2014, Diamandis cofounded Human Longevity Inc. (HLI), a genomics and cell therapy-based diagnostic and therapeutic company focused on extending the healthy human lifespan,[57] with Craig Venter and Robert Hariri.[58] He also has supported SENS Research Foundation, a nonprofit organization that seeks to treat and cure the diseases of aging by repairing the underlying damage caused by aging.[59] After internal disputes about management, Venter left Human Longevity to return to the Venter Institute. Celularity In February 2018, Diamandis launched Celularity, a biotechnology company productizing allogeneic cells and tissues derived from the postpartum placenta.[60] Books In 2012, alongside Steven Kotler, Diamandis coauthored Abundance: The Future Is Better Than You Think.[61] The nonfiction work discusses the potential for exponential technology and three other emerging market forces to significantly raise global standards of living within the next 25 years. Abundance was well-received;[62] it was No. 2 on The New York Times Best Seller list[63] and remained on the list for nine weeks. It was No. 1 on the non-fiction bestseller lists of Amazon[64] and Barnes and Noble.[65] At the 2014 Clinton Global Initiative, former US president Bill Clinton recommended Abundance to readers as an antidote to negative news. In 2015, again alongside of Steven Kotler, Diamandis coauthored another New York Times best selling book, Bold: How to Go Big, Create Wealth, and Impact the World.[66] This nonfiction book provides analysis and instruction for entrepreneurs interested in learning about exponential technologies, moon-shot thinking and crowdsourcing.[1] January 28, 2020, Kotler and Diamandis released the third and final book in their series "The Exponential Mindset Trilogy"; which includes the books "Abundance" and "Bold". The Future is Faster Than You Think: How Converging Technologies are Transforming Business, Industries, and Our Lives examines the revolutionary changes brought about by convergence.[67] Diamandis also has a chapter giving advice in Tim Ferriss' book Tools of Titans. Additional notable achievements Diamandis also: Served as CEO of Desktop.tv, a spin-off company from BlastOff! designed to provide a global peer-to-peer television network for broadcasting unique content to the desktop.[68] Served as chairman of Starport.com, an Internet channel for space exploration for kids of all ages.[11] The site represents over 20 astronauts and features space heroes, missions and simulations. Sold to Space.com.[citation needed] Cofounded and served as director of the Space Generation Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in 1985 to create, in all people born since the advent of the Space Age on October 4, 1957, a sense of identity and awareness that they are born as members of a space-faring race. The foundation supports numerous educational and research projects.[69] Founded SpaceFair in 1983. SpaceFair is a national space conference that was hosted by MIT in 1983, 1985 and 1987.[70] Was a key subject in the 2007 documentary film, Orphans of Apollo.[71] Is a member of the Xconomists, an ad hoc team of editorial advisors for the tech news and media company, Xconomy.[72][better source needed] Personal life Diamandis is married to Kristen Hladecek,[73][better source needed] having proposed in 2004.[74] They have twin boys born c. 2012.[75] Santa Monica event In February 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, MIT Technology Review reported that Diamandis held a "mostly maskless" event in Santa Monica in violation of the local stay-at-home order that became a superspreading event.[76] The event charged up to $30,000 for tickets. In a followup article, MIT Technology Review revealed that after COVID-19 started spreading among attendees, Diamandis tried to sell them "fraudulent" treatments including inhaled amniotic fluid and ketamine lozenges, which a professor of law and medicine at Stanford University characterized as "quackery".[77] The superspreading event was covered widely by publications including the New York Times[78] and the Los Angeles Times.[79] Notes Peter Diamandis interviewed on the TV show Triangulation on the TWiT.tv network Krol, Aaron (March 4, 2014). I don't think anybody you have interviewed have directly touched on how to keep teeth and gums from what is seen as normal wear and tear. When somebody lives to be much older, how can they keep their teeth to be similar to people in their 30s like the rest of these lifestyle changes and supplements are allowing? Can you do a podcast or aliquot on that? 23 FoundMyFitness B Epperson B Epperson 4 months ago (edited) I really enjoy information that normal folks can use in everyday life who don't have access to exceptional excess of financial capital. For us regulars who just want to optimize our and our patient's health, this was a little out of reach and offered little in practical information. Space travel is off limits to the majority of Americans, and so are most of the annual "Uploading" technologies mentioned. We can't even get mono-clonal antibodies in Washington state. This one was not my cup of tea. 16 A & D A & D 4 months ago They started talking the Miracles of NMN and Dr Patrik was like “pump the brakes boys.” 😂❤️❤️ 27 Jac Flasche Jac Flasche 4 months ago Unlike what Tony said, several nmn supplements were found to contain the amount they claimed. Who, What, Where and how much. I did the rotator cuff surgery and not good, listened to a podiatrist who said the can “fix” my foot and now I’m stuck in worse shape. I agree with using this technology, but how to get it is the challenge. The one thing I’ve learned in 60+ years is to find what’s creating an issue and give your body a chance to heal. The pain is learning the lesson after you let someone “fix” you only to have it irreparable. 10 Thug Nasty Thug Nasty 4 months ago Doc, I love your podcast! 4 FoundMyFitness MPM Revolution MPM Revolution 2 months ago That was phenomenal conversation. Andrew Zanas Andrew Zanas 4 months ago (edited) Thank you, Rhonda. Happy to see it start with what initially brought these two people together. We don't often associate Tony Robbins with genomic breakthroughs, or in thinking anthropologically beyond biomedical and natural evolutionary advancements. It was important to hear that Tony's still growing in bringing the whole mind/body paradigm together in order to explore, associate and extend our longevity and health from an ontological perspective. Peter's new to me. We want to hear more. I'm still not sold on the rush to adopt iMra and CRISPR technology the way it was jammed down our throats by creating novel gain-of-function lethal viruses first and then purposely releasing them into the wild. It's pretty much a given now when Victoria Newland's public revelation acknowledged the US had established 26 biomedical research labs in the Ukraine alone, and another 300 in 30 other countries. We can't ignore it, however it's great to hear there are companies working on eradicating diseases and people like Peter who are willing to do much more than just talk about it. Etc, etc.... 12 Mike Lowrey Mike Lowrey 4 months ago Longevity? Thats great! I’ve always wanted to be longer. 24 Ellen Collins Ellen Collins 4 months ago Very interesting. But, for instance, this PCKS9 vaccine, that lowers cholesterol? Well, recent thinking is not vilifying cholesterol in and of itself---or even LDL cholesterol--as much as in the past. In the absence of inflammation, cholesterol itself is not necessarily harmful and might even be helpful. For instance cholesterol proffers immunity. Also, the treatment ignores the fact that high cholesterol is inversely related to all cause mortality in the elderly... So it's a little bit worrisome to "protect" us against health situations that may later be found to not be the culprits at all. Just a thought. 6 A M A M 4 months ago Nice to have someone like Robbins synthesizing longevity science. I am having however, having a difficult time listening to 2 rich men who can afford $$$$$ that the rest of us cannot afford and love to hear themselves talk about how much they know- total informercial. . I want to see their claims backed up by science. For instance CAC score of 1000 is good? Really. I don’t think Dr Peter Attia would agree that anything over 0 would be good. I read that he gave ted talk in his book “abundance”. It is extremely easy to be pessimistic. But it takes a broadened view and graceful awareness to see great possibility in the future. The only thing that can save us is love and care for each other, and only that will give us abundance. Chris Capel Chris Capel 10 years ago @enticed2zeitgeist Sure, but my point is that "world peace" won't be achieved by everyone suddenly deciding to love each other and stop being selfish, greedy and dishonest. If we get there at all, it'll be through generation after generation of social evolution. Again, assuming we don't blow ourselves up first. 4 Eli Tanenbaum Eli Tanenbaum 10 years ago "What is so much higher about our standard of living compared to 1963 other than... Ipods, cell phones, Internet, TVs, faxes, bigger homes, bigger colored TVs, better cars" Some other things you didn't mention are air conditioning, video game systems, and indoor plumbing. Middle-class people are vastly wealthier than they were in the 60s. Somebody living at the standard of living of a middle class person in the 60s would probably be near the poverty line today. Yes it's possible, but it doesn't seem likely because when all demands are supplied the rich can't get richer. Mikhael37 Mikhael37 10 years ago There is something this guy is missing: Moore's law has a limit. There is a limit to how fast computers can work, and that limit is size. The next step is quantum computing and so far there is little progress in that field. There is also biological computing (like DNA), but it's also still a very slowly emerging technology and no one knows whether it will work. I think that this guy's point of view is too optimistic. The other man, Paul Gilding, has a more realistic presentation. Sam Baker Sam Baker 6 years ago I met Peter Diamandis back in August. He is a genius and I'm confident that he'll save the world. 3 Peter Cohen Peter Cohen 10 years ago I already said; "Solar voltaics" (as just one alternative). Generating baseline grid power from solar is 4 times more expensive than coal right now, but if we had to, we could do it. But research on both generation and storage is making progress by leaps and bounds. At an improvement rate of 40% a year, it does not take long to reach parity with fossil fuels, and then to pass it. It is important to realize that the oil will not turn off all of a sudden. It gets more expensive as it gets rarer. Eli Tanenbaum Eli Tanenbaum 10 years ago The life expectancy in 1963 was also only 70 years, compared to 79 years now. The main problem is that people don't feel richer, because we've become so much more unequal. Because income mobility is not what it used to be, people feel poor, even though they enjoy a higher standard of living. So while economically we're doing better, you're right that psychologically, we may be less happy with our lot in life than we were in 1963, when most of the nation shared a similar standard of living. Gemini Blaze Gemini Blaze 9 years ago yes, it's so many great freethinker and futurists in the public eye to be inspired by, and that we all have the ability to be those as well, get our voice out, and know we have the power of our human minds. What sucks is....I still can barely pay my bills. :/ 1 Neil Papier Neil Papier 5 years ago (edited) Here's the problem, abundance of technology does NOT equate to actual progress. Like the speaker mentioned, poorer individuals today have much more at their disposal than rich people did about 100 years ago. If were so advanced right now, then why is there a crisis in energy, water, the environment, terrorism etc. Why do we live in a less equal and unhappy society today than ever? All this technology yet why have we not already turned it into progress? An egalitarian society is more important to us than tech. Also, the idea that poor people should be happy with what they have because its better than what rich people had 100 years ago is dismissive to say the least. 8 VagabondLifestyles VagabondLifestyles 8 years ago People keep hovering over the aspects of money and capital and it is clear with this TED Talk that abundance is about resource that help the individuals and the world get ahead...and that is the beauty of this concept, its not about restriction it is about expansion. I believe that we can have natural abundance through the advancements of technology someday, like he started but he doesn't seem concerned about time. Technology advances at an extraordinary rate, but will it be fast enough? When humanity is on a time crunch of colonizing another planet or somehow duplicating natural resources, will we have enough time? yubedude yubedude 10 years ago A well presented talk that is both rational and thought provoking. Evil people are everywhere, you're right, but we're starting to observe trends where these greedy shenanigans are being suppressed due to rapid world-wide communication from massive social networks. Whenever something bad and ugly happens, people will know about it, and if it's significant enough, people will fight for it. Just look at what's been happening with SOPA. fububalla fububalla 10 years ago Yea man, that's easy to say but the entire economic system is more centralized than localized which makes it difficult to get off the ground. Think about it. Even with a great idea you need to either know someone w/ cash or go to commercial bank which is basically controlled by the federal reserve (central bank). So I hope Diamandis is right and along the way we figure away to maintain a vibrant cerebral and work-based society - cause we all know how lazy technology makes us. Gkrypt Gkrypt 10 years ago He admits that yes, the population will grow and grow to more and more billions, and he acknowledges that it will take a lot of food, space, and especially there's the problem of animal food that we eat. J whitenstall J whitenstall 10 years ago We have the technology and resources to take care of our planet and everything on it for a long time, they are not applied because abundance is not profitable, and independant self-sufficient people cannot be controlled. I reserve my optimism for when the resources are managed effectively, and not controlled by a tiny greedy minority. Acerola211 Acerola211 10 years ago Those figures about less people dying, about the food prices dropping, etc., could also be interpreted to mean that we are using up more resources than ever. Our resources are limited, and people need to realize that if we expect to live a sustainable life. It's not realistic to behave as if we have no limit on our resources. And at the same time as it is getting more rare and expensive, research on alternatives continues making those cheaper and cheaper as time goes on. At some point it simply becomes cheaper to use the alternative than it does the oil. This is simply not a problem other than the fact that energy is going to be more expensive in the future, at least for a while. enticed2zeitgeist enticed2zeitgeist 10 years ago I'm all for solving the worlds problems, but the problems that plague the world right now aren't technical, they are spiritual and emotional. Why do you think I mentioned copper production in the year 1900? Martenson points out that around 1900, people could still walk around and find copper nuggets the size of elephants, and concludes that copper mining must have been much easier back then. Martenson carefully skates around the fact that, despite today's lower-grade ores, world copper mine production is 32x what it was in 1900, and 8x per capita, at lower prices. Angela Taylor Angela Taylor 8 years ago It is shameful when only a handful of people control the wealth of the world in disgusting obscene amounts of money. Are they alleviating poverty? No they want more and more in their greed and next comes power over people. WHY? We all only have on average 80 or 90 years here, so why do these people need more than they could spend in 1000 lifetimes. How can they sleep knowing millions starve while they pig out on the finest foods? Where is theirhumanity? Things have to change and things WILL change. People are waking up to the greed and avarice of these people, and we the people are on the move to change things. 3 Gemini Blaze Gemini Blaze 9 years ago Come on, None of us wanna be too fatalistic about these things, but I can see what you mean, although I love his focus on positivity, he doesn't go over vast amount of social imbalance and mental detriment that still exist on a massive scale, and the power structure deterrents that help slow our grand possibility at this globally sustainable future, so easily possible. Then again he only has so much time. Still great talk, the education we all need. J K J K 9 years ago Great lecture. Excellent information. In the future though, I would like to request that speakers be given the benefit of a pop filter, and also a glass of water. WiredForSuccessTV WiredForSuccessTV 8 years ago Expanded thinking! Peter Diamandis brings the economic optimism of Dr. Simon to a new audience. The new medium of artificial intelligence is now being brought to the new middle class. Arnold Toynbee would see this as part of the salvation by the machine. The salvation by the machine is a great wonder but Toynbee questions the authenticity of the response. breaneainn breaneainn 10 years ago 20's-fight for the king. 30's live for the day, 40's die for your country, 50's breed for the future, 60's reach for the stars, 70's stand together, 80's work the machine, 90's shock and awe 00.s trust no one 10's deep breath, 20's....................... queenbeenightly queenbeenightly 8 years ago Good luck with all the psychopaths in positions of power. 14 B Charron B Charron 10 years ago Higher material standard of living I would agree with you. The question should be though, Do we have a higher quality of living overall than in the 60's? Do we have less stress? Do we have less divorce/broken homes? Do we have better quality of goods as far as durability goes? Has our money's buying power kept up with inflation (rise in necessities like food, fuel, housing)? The answer to all these questions is unquestionably no. So you see, this is why I say our quality of life is lacking. Peter 4 months ago (edited)
