A big special thank you once again to @70sFan for helping to uncover rare NBA footage. These highlights are from Chamberlain's scoring prime between 1959-1966. The film has been colorized from black and white, the frames have been corrected for natural flow and the clips were up-scaled to 4k.

MJ is legendary, and inspires us to be better. Wilt is mythical, and cautions us that no matter how much you try, there's a freak of nature out there that will whup your ass regardless.

I saw Wilt play in a preseason double-header in Seattle in the late 1960s when he was beyond hid prime. After playing in the first game he came sat in the stands to watch the second game. I was among several kids who swarmed him to get his autograph. He kindly and patiently signed autographs for everyone. I will never forget the moment. Bless you Mr. Chamberlin.

Watch footage of Wilt as a track athlete in high school. Watch him run the court in basketball games. There should be no debate---Wilt is the greatest ever. Also smart and a real gentleman.

Mr. 48 Min, imagine the damage he’d do to todays league. He’d still be good for 45/30 easy. Even more interesting would be to see him against the likes of Hakeem, Ewing, Shaq…I think mostly the same results still but there’s something to see the titans of the league go against each other. Obviously there was Wilt….and then there was MJ….and then there’s everyone else.
RIP Wilt

It is said in an era when blocked shots were not recorded he was easily blocking 1O a game...as the video announcer said it was his 7th block...BTW HE BLOCKED A YOUNGER KAREEM ABDUL JABAR'S SKYHOOK IN ONE GAME.

Wilt would’ve eaten Shaq alive in their heydays.
As the ref in this video said “ If we called every foul committed against Chamberlain there would not have been a ball game.” In contrast, the refs let Shaq get away with walking, but especially CHARGING to no end. A defender wasn’t allowed to square up against Shaq : all Shaq had to do was keep grinding and charging that big @&& into the defender until he got close to the basket. Wilt had a killer unstoppable fadeaway and would’ve destroyed Shaq— especially if charging actually was called on Shaq. But even then, Wilt was as strong as Shaq so he couldn’t have charged that butt into him anyway and even if he did there was Wilt, possibly the greatest shot blocker in history waiting for him.

Imagine today wasting Chamberlain out at the 3 point line. The NBA game has been so dumbed down. Chamberlain would be so bored with today's sissified NBA game he would have played volleyball instead.

I am convinced if blocks had been counted as a stat for his career he'd still be the all-time leader in blocks the same way he is for rebounds.

I’m glad this video released. Now people will see he didn’t just push dudes out the way and dunk his way to 40s and 50s. Wilt had a true arsenal for scoring. Hooks, Drop Steps, Up & unders… and when you do somehow find a way to keep him from getting close to the rim, his right shoulder fade was money. Shooting that shit over the bigs with ease just like KD does.

Look closely.. Look how they respect the rules of traveling and never drag, shuffle or move their feet without putting the ball down first. Even on fast breaks it's 1 foot then shoot or pass.. The ways the refs call the games today is straight trash and the reason scoring is so inflated.

Finally seeing this footage, this is similar to Tim Duncan's offense: threaten the pass to get open, then either bank shot or drive for toss-in.

I am trying to wrap my head around how Wilt grabbed 55 rebounds in a game against Bill Russell. It doesn’t even seem humanly possible, but then again, all of his records seem that way.

Nevermind all the trolls saying he's overrated. All you have to do is listen to the people who actually saw him play. Those guys know basketball better than any randos on YouTube and if that's not enough just look at the damn footage. This guy is as big as JaVale McGee, moves like Zion, passes like Ben Simmons, shoots like Jokic around the rim, blocks shots like AD, AND he doesn't get hurt? Legend! Sign me up all fucking day and night!

In 1968, Wilt is the only player to have recorded a quintuple double: 53 points, 32 rebounds, 14 assists, 24 blocks, 11 steals, according to the game statistician. Name another player capable of putting up numbers like these in a single game. I won’t hold my breath..

I've never understood why people say Wilt couldn't play today. The rules were tougher the refs were stricter and he played more minutes than anyone else ever has I believe. It's truly the most remarkable thing he done hands down and people should look at him with more respect for his speed and endurance. Why speed people might ask? Well most likely he had that endurance because he ran a lot which means his speed was probably more incredible than we know

100 points...55 rebounds...48.5 minutes per game/season...when games were only 48 minutes long...50.4 points for a season...and blocks were not recorded until...the 70's...Walt Bellamy suggested Wilt had 27 blocks...in one game...in which he played...😎👍👍👍👍👍

This guy is a genetic marvel .. For some reason I didn't realize how agile and strong he was. In a lot of these shots hes just hopping a bit and flicking the ball..Most players today would be jumping with everything they have and using full forearm extension. Absolutely incredible.
