Tom Lovin Tom Lovin 4 weeks ago I have been taking metformin, 850 mg daily since last April when I was diagnosed for diabetes. It's OK; it brought down many of my glucometer readings, but it still allowed for peaks. So I started taking 500 mg berberine a day in November on top of the metformin. My overall average for readings went down, to about 93, and were consistent, never far above or below that 93. I tried increasing to 1000 mg, planning to decrease the metformin, and maybe even going up 1500 mg and eliminating the metformin. But my stomach couldn't stand the diarrhea. Also Metformin is cheap as dirt. I'm still glad about the progress though. 2 maria fanizza maria fanizza 9 days ago Great video! I’m intermittent fasting and would like to start taking berberine. Can it be taken on an empty stomach and if taking later do you suggest taking it before or after the meal? One more question… does it keep you up at night? Thank you in advance 😊 DrJason Pickel DrJason Pickel DrJason Pickel 2 months ago I am very impressed with Berberine.
