From what I gather this docu is about 10 years old, since then we've found four new different hominin species and a couple thousand individuals of many different other species besides just these mentioned and all the species of hominin definitely lived in family groups with two exceptions due to lack of evidence. We no longer want to do the hard work and the heavy lifting that is required to compete for survival so we try to get others to do it for us. The more power, status and wealth we have, the easier it is to get others to do the hard work and the heavy lifting for us. Ever since Sapiens learned how to record and document their history, the atrocities committed and the depravity that has been revealed are gruesome and horrific. Progress towards morality, peace, fairness and kindness has been made over the centuries but the tendencies to discriminate, abuse and take advantage of others that look different or are a little more primitive or have different lifestyles is still prevalent among us. Sapiens brains can be extremely creative but they can still have trouble separating facts from fiction and can easily be fooled by an inspiring and fascinating story to the point that the majority of us believe that there are magical authorities that live in the sky. It appears that it is not possible for sapiens to continue to innovate, produce and exchange goods and services to prosper and progress when trying to compete for power, status and wealth without deceiving, lying, abusing, conquering or killing each other and without the mistrust that causes nations to spy on each other and to manufacture weapons that can wipe out most of the life on this planet. Neither side will really accept the other especially when it’s two extremists. Though, combing through these comments it’s pretty nice to see the diversity in beliefs. Some embrace god but believe in evolution and other believe god and believe the genesis creation theory. I’d also like to add all creation theories are still theories. The Bible or any religious text is not concrete evidence for anything. But religion has been embedded into the education system and society. People are willing to follow a religion that has been proven to be used to gain leverage over the common people. I like to think how different the world would be if we believed the Babylonian creation theory as adamantly as the genesis one. I am in no way religious, I grew up in a hyper religious Baptist family though. You also have groups of thought that reject both. Dog, horse, pig, sheep, cow, human breeders, crop breeders have been around for a very long time. Christians have in the past embraced and reject the ancient blood-line concepts, selective breeding and crop versions and in some period embraced it. Not a very complex ideal. Darwin theories are partly about that jump in thought. That one species with enough changes over generation can become a new species. Common way for breeders is to butcher or trade inferior livestock and allow the best quality to breed with each other. The Spartans attempted to breed superior warrior classes and even then, the ideal was already spread throughout Europe for many centuries. Problem solving is nothing new and is common in the animal kingdom with some species being better at it then others. Observation, problem solving, exchange of ideals, language, experimentation is very old and part of humanoid adaptability. I had a cat that taught herself sign language by forming relations of my hand positions to being petted, food and various other things. A pet gesture becomes the meaning for asking if she want to be petted. The cat did not like to be waked up from sleep by being petted, so once i did this to her she waited until i was asleep and then walked up to me and petted me with her paw until i woke up and noticed her and then she walked back to her bed looked at me and then stretched out. The cat can even play fetch with a bottle cap and when done mimic a dog for a second before lying down for rest. She never played the game but watched dogs play this game. Add one person or pet and she refuses to play fetch. I never punish her or spoil her too much. ancient humanoids had language and may of been more or less clever than the peoples of today. Who made that decision? "Nature"? And what is that exactly? For example: who decided it's now safe on earth for that weird fish-like creature to stick out its head of water? Who decided that small mouse has to develop senses against Dinosaurs? That "Nature" has to be "aware" of many things together, like earth condition, time to extinct Dinosaurs,...etc, and make the best decision/selection at the best moment for ALL living creatures at the same time. That is what is always mentioned in the video when something cannot be explained except by "Natural Selection". This is the biggest flaw in the whole evolution thoery. Yes, we see generations selection in breeding dogs, or farmers enhancing their crops. But who makes that selection? It's the farmer or the dogs owner in that case. Not some "unknown" force we call "Nature"! That reminds me of adding the "unknown" constant after integration to balance it. Then we need more boundary conditions to find its value. We know there is a constant, but we just don't know its value because we are missing information, not because it doesn't exist!
