0:00 Introduction: How to clean out your arteries and reduce the risk of heart disease
0:22 What causes plaque in the arteries?
1:34 High LDL cholesterol
2:20 The best nutrients to support your heart
5:13 The best foods for blocked arteries
12:33 Learn more about biofilms!
Let’s talk about the best meal you could eat to clean your arteries and reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.
The plaque that can build up in the arteries is a combination of calcium, protein, and cholesterol. In many cases, the calcium results from biofilms, which are colonies of microbes with something like a shell to protect themselves.
Biofilms tend to accumulate on roughened edges—if the arteries are smooth and strong, they probably won’t accumulate there. Lesions, oxidation, inflammation, or damage could lead to plaque in the arteries.
Typically, a person with clogged arteries will also have high LDL cholesterol (small-dense particle size LDL). Both arterial plaque and this type of LDL are correlated with a high-carb, high-sugar diet.
The best nutrients to support the cardiovascular system and reduce the risk of heart disease:
1. Vitamin K2
2. Vitamin C
3. Vitamin E
4. Omega-3 fatty acids
The best meal for your cardiovascular system:
• Wild-caught salmon
• Sauerkraut
• A large arugula salad with extra-virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, sunflower seeds, Parmigiano cheese, and garlic.

One addition IMPORTANT point: heat destroys vitamin C (as in "pasteurization"), so when you get your sauerkraut, find one that is raw or make it yourself.

2:20 The best way to prevent, slow down or reverse plaquing in the arteries:
• Vitamin K2
• High vitamin C foods
• Vitamin E
• Keep your Omega-6 fatty acids very low and keep your Omega-3 fatty acids very very high
5:13 The best foods for blocked arteries:
• Wild-caught salmon
• Sauerkraut (a fermented cabbage product): it's loaded with vitamin K2, it's also loaded with Vitamin C (7 times the RDA)
• A big arugula salad with extra-virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar (or red balsamic vinegar), sunflower seeds, Parmigiano cheese (get the authentic type from Italy), and garlic
Thank you Dr. Berg

This information is critically vital to my health. My blood pressure is normally running between 190 to 205. I'm at 402 lbs. It's depressing that I allowed myself to get this big. I'm on a mission to get this weight off NOW! Thank you so much for this information Dr. Eric Berg 🙏🏾

Love the videos. As a pharmacist it’s disheartening to see so many people convinced a pill will fix them when they make no changes to their lifestyle. I’ve been working on gaining weight and by incorporating these foods I’ve gained 25 lbs while actually lowering my blood pressure 🎉

Also, be sure to read the ingredients on your fermented "pickled" foods (i.e., sauerkraut). If vinegar is listed, then it's NOT actually fermented and will lack the good stuff that Dr. Berg is recommending. Vinegar is used as a flavoring/seasoning to make foods taste fermented. But the REAL fermented/pickled foods will not use vinegar. Check out Bubbies and Saverne brands. They are the real deal!

Thanks for the helpful heart health information Dr. Berg! Could you explain if red wine would be good to include in the meal as well as how much and how often? It seemed odd to me that there was an image of red wine pouring into a glass yet there was no mention of wine in the video.... Since there pros and cons about drinking alcohol I sure would appreciate your feedback on this.

I am down fifty pounds due to intermittent fasting and eating healthy. My biggest secret is getting a lot of rest and stepping away from stressful situations. My journey has been going on for seven months thus far. I am also over sixty and one of the greatest mindsets is to first eat to get healthy and secondary is the weight loss that will occur. Arugula salads have been my go to food. I am still refining my dietary choices according to every video that I watch. Thank you!🌞🌻🙏🌼

Dr. Berg - what do you think about black garlic? It tastes amazing, and doesn't leave you with garlic breath. The fermentation process causes black garlic to contain substantially more antioxidants than raw garlic. This is partly because allicin, the compound that gives garlic its pungent odor when crushed, is converted into antioxidant compounds like alkaloids and flavonoids as black garlic ferments.

I lost 21 lbs. on Ozempic. The crazy thing is- I literally lost my desire for cheese and milk products and crave salads all the time now. 😕 I used to hate salads. Huge fan of sourcrout though, I’m so glad my body craves what is good for it now- that has not always been the case. Great episode, Dr. Berg. I hope you don’t mind me mentioning it in my podcast Diabetic Survival? Your advice is priceless. Indeed here in the US, we need to allow food to be our medicine, but with foods grown in soil deprived conditions, many of our seemingly harmless crops are just wasted resources. Need to get back into the old ways of farming just like in Europe. Btw- what do you think of Dr. Gundry, and lectins? Another hazard in the world of vegetables. 😮

I had high blood pressure problem for over 4 years and the doctors said the reason could be anything and wrote pills directly without even questioning my life situation. I feel grateful to come up with your videos, and started with a keto diet and intermitent fasting. Just after 4-5 months, my blood pressure got back to normal without the need of medication and I feel much better and lighter. You improved and possibly extended my life significantly Dr. Berg. Thank you 🙏🏻

A lot of the foods mentioned I eat often simply because I like them. Some of them I knew were beneficial, but I often wondered about sauerkraut. I've kept a jars of a very good German sauerkraut in the fridge continuously for years and just grab a big forkful of it to munch on whenever I feel the urge.

I appreciate all your videos and since listening and following them, I have been losing weight, gaining energy and a lot of the "symptoms" I was suffering have stopped or been reduced. The only thing I have a small issue with is that buying all these foods, especially the organic or fresh market foods, is very expensive. I would love to know how this diet can be maintained when on a budget.

I am Italian and you pronounced Parmigiano correctly doc! That's incredible how the diet you described is really mostly part of our daily intake, especially in the northern part of Italy, where we are closer to Austria and we inherited the culture of sauerkraut.
Of course we do eat also quite a lot of less healthy stuff such as lots of cold cuts, alcohol, sweet cakes and refined grains. But our grandparents did not. Thats why they get to live till 100 whereas the younger generation is "kind of" less healthy. In Italy we say :"if you eat like a king, you'll die like a king" which, by the way, kings were dieing very young and from coronary deseases.

Hi, some useful info in this video.
Just a couple of questions - isn't kimchi supposed to be superior to sauerkraut?
Secondly - isn't the omega3/omega6 ratio better in rapeseed oil than olive oil. As omega 6 was mentioned as inflammatory I would have thought rapeseed oil would be better?

You have a calming effect in your delivery. :) I have a question, I just have been stunned to find I have a cholesterol level of 227. I am a 58 yr old female, not over weight, vegetarian and only this year has this level spiked. Ive never had high cholesterol in my life before. My diet is pretty strict, I have not exercised much this last year as we moved to France and I lost my exercise ladies group, but still I am considered very healthy overall. Can genetics play a part later in life to spike up Cholesterol levels? Im not sure my diet or life style is really a main factor, all I can think of is genetics?????

Hi dr berg. Another very interesting video. Can I please ask your professional advice on one thing? I have been working to include fasting into my life and better food choices along with removing sugars. All great so far but noticing I need to get up to pass water a couple of times in the night. I have heard that you need to replace the salt you lose from this? Can you tell me first if getting up in the night is normal after just three weeks of healthy eating with 18 hour fasting and if and how you replace salt? Some say to take a teaspoon of salt in water but wouldn’t that make you sick?

I've been using about 3tbsps of chia seeds to help balance blood cholesterol. It seems to be working fine as my numbers from my annual physical/blood work are all in the safe/acceptable range. My blood pressure though is a bit elevated 130+/75 even after these numbers. I will try these foods you recommend and reduce the amount of carbs and monitor the effects. I'm not overweight (~150lbs/5'9" male) and have a fairly active day.
How do I add more calories to my diet safely if I'm reducing the carbs?

Including a very high quality olive oil in your diet is important. I purchased a good book about extra virgin olive oil, the history and more. It led me to a brand named 'Olive in the Raw'. It's unadulterated unlike the ones in grocery stores. It's expensive but has great health benefits.

Because...that meant the heart might have an issue..

Also, what if I can’t eat sauerkraut due to other health issues (need to avoid vinegar). What about sourdough bread as an alternative?

Just had my first heart attack yesterday. Had two stents put in. They said 11 is high for cholesterol and mine was 16, two days before the heart attack. I bake my food. I do drink lots of coffee with sugar, smoke and lead a sedentary lifestyle. Guess I'm going to have to change that. The only pain that I've known like it was toothache, except it felt like a toothache in my chest. Was so tired that I barely managed to talk to the paramedics, couldn't get cooled off even lying on the cool floor, and my jaw hurt. I am going to try to ease my way into a better food selection as I don't want to crash my system. Will be watching more vids.

Partaking of any kind of dairy over a period of time eventually triggers my rheumatoid arthritis. I noticed since putting ACV in my tea every night I was able to go back to it without any symptoms, at least for a longer period than I was able to before. I knew something was happening but didn't understand the mechanism until now. It's the Vit K2, not to mention the rest of it being so good for my gut, too.

In several Central European countries, my grandfather's generation, people used to make a huge amount of sauerkraut in the autumn. It was made and stored in an oak barrel and the lid kept the cabbage pressed down and under the liquid. They ate it throughout the winter, either by itself or used it in different dishes.

During the winter months, or pretty much any time we're feeling a bit yucky, my wife and I will eat a clove or two of raw garlic, a couple of slices of hard cheese and some slices of fermented pickle right before bed. We have to both do it at the same time so that the smell doesn't kill an unsuspecting partner but, other than that, it'll pep you right up by the next morning.

Any advice on food substitutions for those of us who have mast cell issues and can’t eat fermented foods? Can’t eat sauerkraut, cheese, tomatoes, avocados, nuts, spinach..etc anymore without severe issues. I used to eat these things but now have bad issues with eating in general.

Many thanks Dr. Berg for being such a great health educator. You continue to generously and humbly share up-to-date information to us and we continue to pray that you live very long and gracefully. I wonder if you could kindly make one or more videos on very important factors to check in a blood test. The conventional blood panel does not predict what is going to happen to us in the next 5 or 10 or ... years.

At 6:14, sauerkraut is suggested as a cardiovascular disease remedy. However, sauerkraut contains a heavy dose of sodium, associated with increasing blood pressure.
The added sodium also does not promote all healthy gut bacteria, even if the salt does not prevent growth of the specific bacteria in sauerkraut culture. Salt is routinely added to meat products to counter growth of all bacteria.

I’m 52 years old and I just want to keep my heart healthy because my mother and father has had heart failure problems and got a pace-maker and I am trying to avoid that in this age now and watching what I put in my mouth and eatting it. Also, for my liver and trying to quit which I should on alcohol but I don’t know for red wine pinot noir good for the heart as well.

@ Dr. Berg - can you provide your easy recommendation on the brand of extra-virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar and Parmigiano cheese? I assume for instance the extra virgin olive oil is not the one you find in our normal big chain grocery stores, nor the Parmigiano cheese. I assume the ACV you recommend is with the mother included in it. Can you advise?

You are very much right Dr. Berg, I've also heard that bad oral hygiene may lead to cardiovascular issues. Here's the interesting part, intermittent fasting leads to better oral health because one doesn't eat very often so food particles are collected relatively less. In addition, better immunity and to a certain degree autophagy don't let bacteria thrive that well. Of course this is only my own opinion.

The test was inconclusive my Dr scheduled another test basically the same test no stress, I started taking supplements Pomegranate, garlic, cranberry, lycopene, tart cherry, beetroot I took these for about 2 weeks before the test. the day after the test the nurse called me, she sounded kind of confused she said that I had 0% x4 she said it 2 more times. I had 0% blockage in 4 arteries. At 57 years old. I was and still am over weight.

I highly recommend L-Arg and L-Orth together for heart health , I believe this is a reason why most people have heart issues after middle age due too our bodies producing less or getting less L-arg from foods .

2019 out of the blue I was diagnosed with arterial sclerosis. My arteries were blocking up with plaque. Within weeks I suffered a dvt.
I was a former wildlife ranger in a remote set of Scottish Islands in the Atlantic and later a hill walking guide in the Scottish Highlands. I considered myself fit and healthy and yet.......
It's a progressive disease and within a few moths I could barely walk because of pain.
I smoked and had done so for over 60 years. I'd always considered myself so fit and healthy that I could get away with it but I was wrong.
It's taken 3 years but I've completely reversed my medical condition. Stopped smoking and every day eat a bowl of banana, avocado, blueberries, black grapes, flax seed, granola with nuts and raisins, yoghurt and almond milk.
I eat twice a day and my 2nd meal is grilled chicken and asparagus sprinkled with Italian hard cheese

I think the video is well done. Thank you for sharing. The phrase "can help" was used quite a bit. This phrase implies there are conditions where the food item discussed does not ALWAYS help. Under what conditions do these food items NOT help? If I eat any of these foods once a week, then is that enough to prevent plaquing? How much salmon, sourcrout, arugula, etc. do I need to ingest and what is the optimal frequency to ingest these food items? How does the role of bioavailability affect the plant food items? While something might have "7 times the amount of vitamin C," it does not mean the body will absorb that large amount. I can drink 8-10 quarts of water in a day, but not in one sitting. So, ingesting 7 x the RDA amount of anything in one meal will most likely lead to some mild negative side effects and any excess will be excreted by the body. So, having an idea of what the optimal amount is would be great. That optimal amount will be different for everyone. Again, thanks for sharing.

What a coincidence that I just ate my great Sorowka (fermented Sauerkraut salad) from Poland. I love it's taste and try to make it my go between snack when my body urges for sugar. As a kid in Poland, when I was send to the next little corner shop to buy some groceries, they sold the sauerkraut from wooden barrels and put it in plastic bags. On the way home I bit of one corner and sucked all the juice out. Such easy times. We had less but seemed way more happy.

I use to feel bloated and overweight all the time but not anymore.
I'm a 62 year old who doesn't get alot of exercise because of my arthritis.
The first thing I'm gonna do this Friday is put some salami, blue cheese and some shredded peperoncini on a small French roll with a shot of burgundy wine to wash it down.

I am a 5 year heart attack survivor. I take the anticoagulant Pradaxa along with Atorvastatin and Metoprolol. Will these food recommendations interact with the medications that I am taken? I know the Salmon doesn't and I've been eating Salmon twice a week since my having a major heart attack in 2017. Since being on cholesterol medication after my heart attack and watching my diet, my last cholesterol test was 118. I was originally prescribed 80 mg of the Atorvastatin but it was causing my muscles to ache and my cardiologist reduce the medication to 40 mg a day of Atorvastatin. I no longer eat at fast food places and junk foods like potato chips, Cheetos, and Doritos. 😀 😃 😄 😁 😆 😅 😂 🤣I cut back on sugar and sweets keeping my A1C at 5.7. Before having a heart attack, I didn't know what A1C was.

Just be careful about over taking vitamins in pill forms, especially if you have problems like Diabetes. The body can only process so much that we can take from pills, and I know plenty of folks with Diabetes that have had kidney stones galore, much of which was made up of calcium and vitamin c. Consult your doctors for things, and maybe try to eat some kiwi, blueberries and exercise if ya can. BE well yall ^<^

II have been on the 18/6 intermittent fasting diet for 3 mo. I have had a couple splurge days but went back on. Im down 15 LBS. I need to go down another 10. I actually decided to start making home made kraut. I haven't done it yet but I will this weekend. Been taking various vitamins including K2 for quite a while. I eat a large orange each day. Hard to beat the real thing.

There are multiple sources that claim you are supposed to have a balnced intake of both Omega 3 with 6, because only focusing on Omega 3 can cause problems if not balanced with Omega 6. There are even supplements that specifically include both Omega 3 and 6 because of this. This directly counters the information in this video, which not only states that Omega 3 intake should be greatly increased, but that Omega 6 is to be avoided. Which is correct?

I think what your saying is helpful but I also think that we live in a time where things by design is creating more health issues to us than ever before. So combating something we don’t even know is overwhelmingly damaging to us and any good we try to do is a drop in the ocean.

I fast mostly with omad. I did go 72 hours earlier in the week. It left me weak, but I am feeling so good about the end result that I can do this . I've lost 5 inches on my stomach. I have only been following Dr. Ekberg's advice for about a month now and I genuinely have never felt better in my life than when I went under 40g of carbs per day. If I had known how much of an impact that this change would have had on my mental clarity, weight loss, and blood pressure I would've started doing this a long time ago.
I think that it's sad that a lot of Americans are suffering not due to a lack of desire or willpower but rather a lack of knowledge.

I truly enjoy and appreciate Dr. Ekberg's presentation for so many reasons but the best reason is the simplicity of his words, yet he can explain intricate diagnosis and treatments so clearly. I am a nursing graduate & sometimes I get lost when others use technical terms, how much more those who are merely trying to find something to make them feel better, with limited knowledge of medical words. Thank you, Dr Ekberg for your highly understandable presentations. I'm sure many people are very appreciative. God bless!

Interesting fact. My parents divorced when I was 2 years old, 58 years ago. My mothers family (which I grew up with) are from the deep south and eat exclusively Meat and Vegetables while my fathers family ate the recommended US food pyramid. Nearly everyone in my fathers family has had heart bypass surgeries, heart attacks, strokes and much more while nobody in my mother’s family has heart disease of any kind.

Your knowledge and breakdown of nutrition has been helpful to say the least. For the month of January, I reduced/eliminated added sugar products as a challenge. I have a few days left but by doing so I've noticed such a large change! Food tastes sweeter and flavorful. I lost 8.6 pounds! And I'm eating more whole foods than before. Being armed with knowledge like you've given has changed my mindset! Thank you so much!

You had me going ape with the first chart before adding “no association”.
A friend of mine who’s a war veteran was following a near perfect diet but had a lot of stress issues and kept dealing with health issues, super high LDL, etc. Working on psychological healing and de-stressing will likely be a lifelong project for him but a year into therapy (CBT) and his LDL cholesterol returned to healthy levels and his sleep apnea disappeared without any dietary adjustments, CPAP, or surgery. I encourage anybody who’s tried it all to consider therapy.

This is a very well done video! Thank you so much. As a 51 year old woman with type 2 diabetes, I’m always struggling to reduce inflammation in my body. We hear so many contradictory things about diets, foods, supplements… I feel like you’ve really helped explain what’s really needed. It has resonated. Thank you.
I do have a question, though. What do you think about blood type related to diet? Should we avoid certain foods according to our blood type?

DR. Sten. I really value your insight on health. would like your perspective with what happens when digesting food products while ingesting thc and cbd. I infuse my own with Cana butter so it's type 2 diabetes friendly and also on the keto side it works. I've lost 30 lbs since i started watching your videos and basically reduced my blood sugar levels from average 10 to 5.5 so I'm very happy with your advice and am now working on improving my muscle mass. Im presently 175 lbs from 210 about 6 months ago. anyways i love my edible because it helps with my anxiety just wondering if there is anything i should worry about in the long term. i mostly micro dose during the week but on weekends i increase the dosage a bit and find that i get really energized and can do my ellipticals with ease and also i can stretch my body way better when in that condition. so yea lots of really good apparent benefits but on a molecular level what am i subjecting myself to? again thank you so much for your videos.

Thankyou so much. My husband had a heart attack 2 months ago and needs a second stent in February. He has been left totally confused by the (UK) dietary advice, which is in conflict with the healthy Keto and heart foods you have mentioned in this video. (UK NHS: low fat, up to 9 tspns of sugar a day, vegetable oils, biscuits, scones, grains and worse). I totally believe what you tell us, having myself been on Keto for 10 months and feel absolutely amazing, losing 24 kilos, and my blood works have improved enormously, I am almost normal!. Thankyou Dr Ekberg, you save lives. My husband has watched this video and understands a lot better now.

Thanks for a great channel and very good explanations on foods and insulin etc! I did omad this summer and lost 15kg in 3 month with a no carb diet after watching you :). I would love to eat healthier all the time. The bigger problem is that grass fed meat and Fat fish and other healthy foods etc is the most expensive food out there that I can not afford! Why is that? How can processed junk food were you need factories and fancy machines and energy to make it, be cheaper than pure whole food straight from the source? Perhaps a topic to adress in a coming video because i cant wrap my head around it!

So, I just wanted to chime in. I think I came up with another really good habit. Still doing No processed sugar no processed carbs. I've struggled with the fasting periods. The closest I get now is having one meal days. But I recently decided I was only going to buy groceries every other week. I think it's good because it forces me to think about it more. I have bought on demand things for that night. I picked up a steak last night. But, it's remarkable how that simple change has made me more mindful. The snacking has gone way down. Of course we're talking about carrots and things, but still. I like things like that, rules to follow that help you stay on track. Like not eating bread, you're eliminating calories rite from the git go. I don't have to think about it. But ya, buying groceries every other week has been good. A good pro tip also is to buy good spices and lots of them. Nothing is boring if you make it taste good.

Dr. Ekberg Just started following and have started a 2mad fasting plan, 16/8 has worked out well for me. I have had some significant injuries that no longer allow me to work out the way I did 30 years ago. 2 weeks into my fasting I am down 10 lbs. with ease working on a continuation and maintenance plan as well. I have tried diets like livea, slim fast and carb counters, but you have to stay the course of very specific times and THEIR FOOD. With this I have not changed what I eat as much as when and how much I eat and I and starting to feel the benefits.... Thank you for you in depth dives into topics that really explains what is going on and how to fix it. Feeling better and working at it has never been this easy before. BK

Hi @Dr Ekberg, thanks for all the work you do - absolutely fascinating stuff, and 100% changed my life thanks to all your content about keto.
One thing I'd just question here: you mention about red wine being suboptimal in terms of reversing heart disease, but isn't there a strong case that red wine in small doses (one glass a day) promotes a healthy heart? This seems to be a key part of the Mediterranean diet and brings a lot of benefits with it, so what would be the reason not to include it?

Dr. Ekberg, First, thank you for the great information and advice. I have several autoimmune diseases and one of them seem to be related to this video, however I didn’t hear you mention this and I would like to know if there is anything I can do to prevent this issue. I’ve been sick for around 10 years with Lupus and a few other diseases, but about 3 or 4 years ago my SED Rate went up to 127 and it really has destroyed my body in many ways and I haven’t been able to recover from this. My doctor put me on 60MG’s of prednisone as soon as she found this in my blood work but of course I’m assuming I still have artery issues. My doctor has had me on a low dose of prednisone (10MG’s) over the years but I would like to know what to do to prevent this from getting worse. This is something that apparently runs in our family because 3 of my siblings have the same issue. Regards

Hi, your videos are really informative and broken down for the average layperson to understand 👍
Q: A family member has numerous gallstones for 50years.
Approx 4 yrs ago she suffered a severe gallbladder infection and was hospitalised for a week. She recovered and was told she needed to have an operation to have the gallbladder removed. She declined and decided to manage her diet better by reducing all fat’s significantly. So far it’s worked but concerned she’s not consuming healthy fats including fish oils, due to the fear of that debilitating pain returning. Started to see an increase in her cholesterol to currently 6.18mmol/l, whereby the typical medical solution was to offer statins, which she also declined following research and family member accounts of being on them. Apart from understanding if there are any long term health affects of consuming minimal fats, is there any link to certain fats impacting the gallbladder more e.g., saturated fats versus fish oil or is it all fats. Would like some kind of reassurance to offer her. Thanks. P.s. she was glucose intolerant for many years which flicked over to being a diabetic resulting from medication she was given. Her diabetes is also under control and is taking no medication for it.

Having clogged arteries is largely based on hereditary. I’ve had relatively high cholesterol since I was in my 30’s, it runs in my family. I’m now 64, I weigh 130 @ 5’5. I eat what I want, to include butter, cream in my coffee…… I don’t eat red meat, because I don’t tolerate it well. I had the coronary artery heart scan and even with high cholesterol, i scored a zero. No plaque at all.

It would be interesting to learn about alcohol and its effects on the body and inflammation. I have been using OMAD and avoiding carbohydrates/sugars for quite some time. I stopped using alcohol completely only recently and the change in my body’s ability to handle carbohydrates is much better. There are many people eating right and exercising who don’t realize they are self sabotaging even with only a small amount of alcohol in drinks that have no sugar at all. It seems that my liver and pancreas were so busy processing two drinks a day that they couldn’t do their job. I know this channel isn’t about alcohol but in this context it would be interesting to learn more.

Hi Sten. What would your advice be for someone with Hypercholesterolemia? I have been CV for 11 months and have started to develop Xanthelasma under my eyes. Interestingly I can’t tolerate more than about 60% of my calories in fat without digestive issues. I’m not sure what to do now??

I do think the overall info presented here is good! Definitely a whole food diet is the way to bring most things back into a better balance. However I don't necessarily agree that there is "little to no dispute" that the foods mentioned in the beggining (cream, butter, fatty meat and so on) don't cause or contribute to CVD.
My brother has been extremely into fitness for close to 20 years. He looks amazing and is in spectacular shape (body weight workouts, a bit of cardio and weight training all those years). He followed somewhat of a paleo style diet, doesn't eat sugar, not much grains etc, Mainly meat and veg. He's always craved savoury foods though, in his case in the form of animal fats.He always ate lots of fat freely - any fat on rich meat cuts and so on. But also a lot of veggies etc too. Mostly natural diet.
Anyway, everyone was shocked that his cholesterol came back at around 8, when normal was 4-5. The GP was extremely worried and tried to put him on statin drugs which he refused. She was so concerned and said if he doesn't go on the drugs he could be at high heart risk.
He and I have both been into health and nutrition for years and we got him onto a low fat, plant based diet full of beans, vegetables, fruits, AND brown rice / quinoa. After 5 weeks strictly on that diet, he went back to the GP for blood tests, and she was SHOCKED. His tests revealed his cholesterol was down to 4.5 or so. It had basically cut in half in 5 weeks drastically reducing his CVD risk. The GP almost fell of her chair, she could not believe he had done this on his own, no meds and only diet. There hundreds of thousands of people testifying to this type of diet reversing so many common health issues in the world.
Those type of fatty animal products definitely have a stigma about them for a reason. No not everyone will be effected, but PLENTY of people are, from eating too much sat fat. I would say each person should figure out which type of diet works for THEM specifically, as people have such drastically varying biochemical types.

Very informative as usual. It would be great if you could do a video on causes of or risk factors for stroke since in my country Vietnam stroke has been more and more common among the young population, the demographic that is often thought to be off stroke's claw.
Thank you!

I subscribed well before I watched the entire video. The "stop the bad" is 100% logical. Due to acid reflux I stopped lots of "bad" and in 10 days or so, I dropped most every blood pressure medication due to much better numbers. Down with the BAD!

Hello, I would like to thank you for the youtube videos which I find very helpful. I am a 54 year old female with 2 stents and I am, among other things, on daily baby Aspirin, and 10 mg of Prasugrel. Can you please do a video on food and supplements interactions with anticoagulants and anti-platelet medications and "risk of bleeding" . I've read a lot and I think I know more than most on the individual supplements but that just confuses me and makes me paranoid rather than give me some sense of confidence that I know what I am doing when I am eating and taking supplements. There are three questions that torment me in particular and I would like to ask you to be so kind to address those in the video as well. I understand that your videos are for educational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice and I have to consult with my healthcare practitioners (who mostly are too busy to talk about those things in detail; so basically I am on my own). So here are the questions 1) Does increased risk of bleeding translate into a possibility of spontaneous bleeding in the brain without any trauma, if there is no hypertension and no rigorous exercise. 2) Do pro-bleeding and anti-bleeding supplements cancel each other out. For example, I drink 4 glasses of green tea and consume 1/2 avocado and 1 cup of blueberries, on most days; and sometimes I consume a little bit of mixed greens salad (no kale). Those are all anti-bleeding. Does it mean that if I take Coenzyme Q10, turmeric, fish oil, ginseng, gingko biloba, mushroom extract, bitter melon, chamomile tea, cranberries (those are all pro-bleeding), the anti-bleeding will cancel out the effects of the pro-bleeding foods and supplements? I wouldn't take Coenzyme Q10, turmeric, fish oil, ginseng or gingko on the same day, I would rotate through them, one day one, another day- another. I am particularly interested in Coenzyme Q10 as I take Crestor 20 mg and I suffer from the known side effect of muscle weakness which (I tried that!) greatly improves with Coenzyme Q10, however, I learned later that Coenzyme Q10 also increases the "risk of bleeding" so I stopped it. 3) How to get my HDL up if I can't take supplements (such as fish oil) because they increase the risk of bleeding? I am running in circles here to manage my cholesterol and pre-diabetes. Is there a powerful HLD-upper that does not increase the risk of bleeding? My HLD is very low, virtually non-existent and nothing seems so help. Thank you very much indeed!!

On dairy sensitivities: you can be sensitive to the sugar (lactose), the fat (unlikely), the proteins (A1 or A2 casein) or the opioids derived from the proteins (A1 dairy only). Different dairy products will have different amounts of the above. E.g. A2 milk will have fat and lactose, but no A1 proteins or opioids. Ghee just contains the fat. Cheese will contain the proteins (A1 and/or A2) and the opioids (A1 only). Try out different combinations.

Thank you for a terrific video.
I would love to see a simple shopping list of Proteins (Salmon, Mackerel, Sardines) , fruits, vegetables, greens, nuts, juices, vitamins B-12, B-6, Folic acid, fish oil, etc, that we should be eating every day.
If I was limited to a select, ideal group of foods to eat every day, what would that look like?
I ask this, because I'm kinda of weirdo and would do it.

This sounds like just what I need. Got my CAC score less than two weeks ago. It's 305. I'll be 76 next week. I won't take a statin. I am taking K2 MK7 from natto and also nattokinase. I need to exercise more. I lost about 55 pounds doing keto for two years followed by ketovore for 6 months.
I know I have inflammation because I have BCC (Basal Cell Carcinoma) skin cancer. So a test for inflammation markers will be positive even if there's no inflammation in my blood vessels.

This was a very good comprehensive video. Unclogging arteries is must.
I recently had a wisdom tooth pulled, and later found out these teeth are connected to the heart. I've seen a study of about 32,000 people and about 1100 had a stroke or heart attack within 30 days of dental surgery. I believe the reason is Fibrin. Where clotting is important in the mouth area but ends up clotting a cardiovascular location. Those enzymes are important.

interesting stuff as usual. The issue with omegas is we do not eat wild meat and when we do it is less than adequate. Wild meats have omega 3, 6 9 perfectly equal, 1;1:1. I have learned that certain fats from certain foods can help us balance some of that but it is all very challenged in this world today.

Something like push-ups or lifting? Or I can resort to an aerobic type of training only? Maybe there are already any videos dedicated to this topic. Would be really thankful for any responses

I went to dr ekberg's store to check out the supplements recommended in the video and I found the "more than cardio" supplements at $84 and then was totally distracted and put cod liver oil in the cart because Dr. says I need epa/deha and was confronted by a barrage of different supplements. In fact, it's overwhelming just like other health guru's websites that say you need this and when you take a look there are hundreds of products so I didn't buy anything. I was too busy comparing prices and products on supplement websites. I have a hard enough time buying good clean food now and I can't afford these expensive supplements. So I start searching for the same thing that can be purchased for less. I need a priority list of what's most important down to the "it doesn't matter" supplement like vitamin d I can get out in the sun.

Cayenne pepper is supposed to help a lot as well. I have read about a Dr. John Christopher who would give his patients who were starting to experience a heart attack cayenne pepper tea, a teaspoon of cayenne with hot water, often it would stop the heart attack. He has never lost a patient using cayenne.

I’ve been taking Nattokinase for a good while now. Recommended daily dose is 3 capsules per day on an empty stomach. I usually only do 2, that it first thing when I wake up and right before bed. At bedtime, I also take Magnesium Citrate and these seem to do wonders for me.
I took Nattokinase for about 2-3 months, then stopped for about a month. Now i just started taking it again, and will cycle on/off in the same way.

I can’t eat veggies anymore. I really miss my leafy green salads with cucumbers & stuff, but can’t have it anymore. I did real good on keto for 2 years until that party was over and I began being sick and gaining weight again. Arthritis getting worse and worse and my walking slower and slower.
I knew I was gonna die soon if I didn’t do something right now. Which is when carnivore called me. I been on the carnivore diet for just past a year now and feel so much better. I dropped 70 lbs, arthritis and bad knees at bay, can walk the stairs and do squats again, walk fast again, and everything is just wonderful again. I have the carnivore diet to thank for my return to youthful feelings again, and I didn’t do grass fed meats. Not that I have anything against it, but I stay within my budget and found that regular meat and eggs is fine if that’s all you can afford.

I love the videos but my biggest struggle is with cramps, I have to stop with the fasting because they are so bad. I take extra magnesium and drink more water with salt but I still get them. I love the fasting but just can’t handle the leg cramps .

I’m watching videos and just bought Sally Norton‘s book toxic super foods. I just got my labs back and I’ve been carnivore for 10 months. My HDL is 62.5 my triglycerides are 90 my VLDL is 18 my LDL is 170 my total cholesterol is 250. 10 years ago if my triglycerides were 172 so I’ll take the 170 ldl. The doctor was not concerned. But was concerning to me was my oxalates My oxalates are high. And I don’t eat green food or nuts or anything else on the list because I have been studying Sally Norton for many months I know already. I already know that vegetables cause inflammation because that’s why I went on carnivore in the first place. Well, I found the culprit dark chocolate. I had been eating some sugar-free dark chocolate fudge that I made out of Lillys dark chocolate chips a couple times a week. I eat beef, butter, bacon, eggs, some chicken rarely pork, as in roast or chops etc., I don’t eat salads very rarely or squashes anything like that. I don’t eat any of that because it doesn’t farewell for me. It causes inflammation and I have been absolutely wonderful on the carnivore diet. I’ve healed three areas that were causing me distress. My asthma is better. My arthritic hip pain is better and my lower G.I. issues are better. When I go off of just meat and salt I have issues so people need to really look at Sally Norton and toxic foods, as far as oxalis are concerned. Doctor wasn’t concerned because I don’t have any symptoms like gout, or any other joint pain.

Dr. Ekberg, Thank you for your instructive videos. Do vegetable oils cause inflammation which then damages our LDL? Do you know any scientific studies that show that the consumption of vegetable oils results in an increase of damaged LDL in our blood? Can you please share this info if you have it?

This is all so confusing! I grew up eating exactly the way you are suggesting, and five years ago was told I have high cholesterol, around 360 even though I am 5 foot seven and 127 pounds. Because of family history of heart disease, my doctor referred me to a cardiologist, Who did a cardiac Cath and found three fairly significant partial blockages around 60to70% each. He put me on a plant-based diet and intermittent fasting. My cholesterol is now between 135 and 145 without medication and he thinks my heart disease is much better, although I am having another test soon to confirm. I understand the inflammation part but since heart disease is still the number one killer, shouldn’t people also have their heart disease monitored if they follow your recommended program?

One of the best video I have seen on this topic. Your explanation of everything is in depth. Otherwise people just list the various things and never explain the reasons why they will work on you. I have seen many videos wherein people will say. Eat this and you will be healthy for ever. How is that even possible? But this channel is different.

I like his videos as well although he forgets to mention the word "age" it's not just a coincidence that as we get older we have these issues.
Like why is there inflammation and broken-down LDL as you age but not when you were young eating the same thing. (Yes there are rare exceptions) Because our body doesn't regulate things as well after age 40 so we have to make changes to help it. Everything we try to learn and change is usually as we're aging because we're trying to live longer and living in borrowed time.

Good Morning Dr Eckberg.
What a coincidence, i was just watching one of your videos before this one came up😀
I must confess during the Christmas and New Year Hollydays I've cheated, there were many family gatherings, my Mom and Dad came from Europe to visit us here in Florida.
My Mom is a Cheff and of course she cooked so much food, we also went to restaurants many times and it was pretty hard to eat something without hidden sugar or carbs.
No excuse, I've cheated and that's that, now I m back 2 weeks on very strict Keto , with less than 20g of carbs ( leafy greens) a day.
I wanted to know something.
I've been on Keto/Cornivore for about 8 months before I cheated for Hollydays, I became insulin sensitive, lost 56lbs and fat adapted.
After one month of eating regularly carbs and sugar, I went right away in to Keto/ OMAD bt didn't have any Keto flu, no cravings, it seems like I never stopped Keto.
Is this normal?
Thank You again for your great work, you're my, and I m sure everyone's big motivation
Greetings.

I look forward to more of this knowledge. As It turns out, I'm quite sick. Arteries are clogged and my CT scan says adeno-myo-ma-tosis. Ultrasound proves it is NOT. Indications point to gallbladder Cancer. AND my doctor called me and said I have a liver blockage, telling me to see a gastro while avoiding the outcome of the gallbladder ultrasound. I also have emphasema. Feet and hands cold o2 is around 97. And I am Anemic. Would you maybe associate thyroid problems with some of these issues?

**Important Correction Notes*: -Most sources I see show butter has roughly 0.5g per 14g (tablespoon), and margarine has 2.1g trans fat per 14g per tablespoon. In no way am I saying butter is horrible for you (in fact, I eat it regularly without issues). I link to what these studies are saying.
- There are also new studies now debating whether HDL & LDL is good or bad (or is it just inflammation); I definitely agree that no one has all the answers yet and am open to new opinions.
-Statins: I personally don't prescribe them as a foot specialist. It appears to be a negative consensus building up against them. Always check with your doctor to see what the proper medications are for you. 😀
- Are fruits healthy? We could debate this forever, but in moderation, I believe these are an amazing source of nutrition and go over the undeniable benefits in my other videos (but in no way does not mean going crazy eating just fruit all day.)
-We really appreciate you, and thanks for watching!

I think it would be good to discuss the different sizes of LDL and how they differ and impact health and plaqueing. From my understanding the size distribution is more helpful in determining if LDL is a problem than just the standard LDL and total cholesterol numbers, with the small dense LDL (caused by oxidizing sugars/glycation) are what tends to settle into the areas damaged by inflammation and that you want to be low. And there’s less of an issue as the LDL particle size increases (intermediate, large). From what I have seen from some cardiologists talking about this, you may show “high” LDL and total cholesterol in the standard test, but show very low levels of the small dense LDL from a more advanced/particle size distribution test, which may indicate there may not really be an issue with LDL. Of course this requires a more thorough investigation and medical help that dives into that level. Also, echoing other comments on statins, the benefits (again based on info/studies presented by cardiologists) is suspect at best, especially given the range of side effects and reported reduction in mortality (its minuscule if at all). These same cardiologists recommend focusing on improving metabolic health and markers to deal with this issue (this is a big deal and includes many of the steps in the video), and some medications may be needed during that process with the idea those may be able to be weaned off over time.

Cardio exercise and diet are huge factors. One thing most doctors don't know is that the herbs Hawthorne and Cayenne, especially Hawthorne, are excellent for clearing arteries, though they won't help enough if you continue to eat a bad diet- the book "Left for Dead" by Dick Quinn explains further.

Generally good, well-researched content on diet-related concerns. The primary emphasis on diet over surgery is definitely a step forward.
However, the recommendation of fish oil for cardiovascular health via omega3 fatty acids is questionable, since continuing research fails to establish definitive benefit for cardiovascular disease.
Of course, this disappointment with omega3s runs against at least 20 years of fish oil promotion, not to mention fish tissue consumption.

Very descriptive. I don't get enough Omega 6 or enough Sodium so I take extra along with fish oil. My acne went away. Omega 6 is good for inflammation but not in excess. I guess it's assumed that most of us eat a lot of junk or fast food but I don't. I just don't have a varied enough diet so I supplement more than most.

LDL is not a bad thing , DENSE oxidzed LDL is . I agree with your other analysis . LDL is essentially the boat carrying cholesterol ,HDL and other essential molecules. The boat can become dense from the foods we eat and then will enter the 1 cell thick artery surface . where it then becomes further dense and cause something called a FOAM cell. which then turns to plaque build up. Am I incorrect on my assumption that LDL molecules are not bad molecules? Thanks for the informative view here. Good stuff

Cardiologists are great when you are suffering from heart decease and can assist you medically removing/bypassing/reducing the clogging via various methods. However when it came to the prevention part, they generally don't have much information to provide. Doctors learn about the causes of a decease from researchers but the researchers themselves are still in the dark when it came to heart health. Several studies have done, still going and the conclusions are not yet clear. Currently there are lot of contradicting research data out there and will drive you crazy. Doctors usually handpicks studies which suits their own personal view. Example, a Vegan Doctor is more likely to choose studies which shows a correlation between animal fat and hear decease but a Pro-Keto doctor may choose studies showing possible links between meat and good health. It's impossible to choose a specific lifestyle which can guarantee good health. Unless the researchers can came with rock solid, undeniable data which can prove their narration, it's better to stay away from any extreme lifestyle. Do everything and eat everything (except processed junk of course) in moderation. Engage in physical activities but don't push the body to it's limit. Moderation is the only key.

Interesting and informative! I have noticed bitter disagreements about statins amongst the medical profession though. With so much money at stake, I tend to go along with those who give advice that doesn’t boost their income potential. What else can I do as a lay person who watches convincing arguments from either side? Follow the money or run the other way!

Of course, the things mentioned in this video are appropriate and worth your time to pay attention to. And, to reiterate, IT IS MORE NOURISHING to eat foods that are not processed. In the processing, preservatives and other petrol-based chemicals are added. All petrol-based chemicals are carcinogenic, however they are carcinogenic to varying degrees. The govt allows certain petrol-chemicals in food (not for our benefit, but for the company's profit benefit), so that only the least carcinogenic chemicals are allowed (least risk). The 3 MOST EFFECTIVE natural, plant-based remedies to DISSOLVE plaque in the arteries are:
1. Hawthorn berries (Crateagus spp. trees)
2. Hot chilis - any of the Capsicum spp., plus some others spp., such as tobasco peppers. These can be eaten raw too. Chilis from Central Amer. will often be either dried or canned.
3. Red table wine processed using the traditional. old world methods (in other words, not rot-gut wine that is heavily chemicalized).
Of course, the people that need to consume the above will NOT have a natural tendency to do so. Why, because there is NO CRAVING present for these. Don't fret: this is absolutely natural for all human beings. Anyway, regardless, you only need to take the next step, which is to check this out for yourself through taking the journey of your own experience! 🏋💜

ldl is fine and as for HDL it only shuttles the foam out of the foam cells and take it back to the liver only the presence of APOA-1. its the beta-hdl that attaches to the foam cells and when full the APOA-1 comes in and connects to the "full" beta hdl and then you have HDL.

Just like ADHD is not caused by a lack of Ritalin in the body, Arterial Sclerosis (clogging) is not caused by a lack of natural Statins in the body. It's caused by excess sugar in the blood.

I was bitten by a brown recluse spider and that poison caused blood clots in that leg, above and below the knee. Have been on a thinner, Abaxipan for a year now but it didn't seem to do much regarding dissolving but there is no more swelling of that leg. I don't smoke or drink, above average health for 67. Last fall I was running up to 10 km/day. My last ultrasound showed complete blockage in peripheral veins. I am on a low carb Keto diet and do extended fasts too. I lift weights every day and bought a leg press machine to stress legs every day too. Alberta doctors say they don't want to do anything. Considered flying to China for an operation there. Can you suggest anything for me?

This one took ten whole minutes to download. YT is throttling the bandwidth of it - they want to make it difficult to acquire.
Thanks YT for showing where the good stuff really is.

beta HDL only comes in to scoop out the stuff in a foam cell only when the Free T3 levels are correct and your APOA-1 levels are correct and your vitamin D levels are correct. Free T3 starts the reaction with first up-regulating the ABCA-1 and the ABCG-1. these two dudes then up-regulate D. The D then up-regulates the dp-ucMGP on the macrophage aka foam cell surface. beta hdl then shows up with MK7 attached to it which in turn carboxylates the MGP. the carboxylated MGP then allows for the beta hdl to attach itself to the foam cell with the help of CoQ10 also carried on the beta hdl. a fun fact is that the beta hdl is also carrying miRNA to aid in killing the cell. the carboxylated MGP then stimulates the Fetuin-A to come in only in the presence of sufficient Magnesium. now, the above is the readers digestion version of reverse calcium transport. carboxylated MGP also allows for VLDL and LDL to go in and kill the foam cell in the presence of vitamin c.

While I think that your video was directionally correct, I think some items were not a fully accurate reflection of the balance of evidence. For example, O6 fats are not “bad”, they are essential - you cannot live without them. The problem is when you eat them in excess or in junk food. Same for Saturated fat. There are no trials which show that O6 oils cause inflammation in humans. Trials in humans have so far shown no effect. Mouse trials do not necessarily translate into humans. A diet where you replace saturated fat with Poly and Mono oils reduces LDL.

Myth: Coconut oil is a heart-healthy cooking alternative.
The argument: Coconut oil is extremely high in saturated fat — about 50 percent more than butter, even.
But despite that saturated fat is known to raise cholesterol levels, linked with heart disease risk, proponents believe that some saturated fats in coconut oil (called medium-chain triglycerides) are less harmful and may actually raise levels of beneficial HDL cholesterol.
The reality: Coconut oil has been shown to raise cholesterol levels — the good and the bad kinds — more than other plant-based oils like olive or canola. And in truth, medium-chain triglycerides make up only a small amount of the fatty acids in coconut oil.
Plus, while other heart-healthy fats like olive oil, canola oil, or omega-3 fatty acids in nuts and seafood have been supported by a large body of evidence, coconut oil's supposed benefits still haven't been proved in large-scale human research.

Dr Berg on YouTube says that taking vitamin K2 will move the calcium out of your arteries and into the bone. Dr. Berg also says that taking silica will make your blood vessels less stiff and more flexible. Dr. Berg also says we should eat foods that make nitric oxide such as Arugula, beets, kale, and spinach. Nitric oxide allows the arteries to expand thereby improving circulation.

Great job of explaining the circulatory system. Good mention of reducing seed oils but statins if you haven't familiar?? No thanks and you said butter is a trans fat?? Its natural fat isnt it. Maybe margarine/paint is what you meant
HDL increases due to lowering inflammation, work out whats causing the inflammation, environment, diet triggers, bad stress, thats the key. Forget the LDL, that is doing its job, thats dictated by inflammation, ilness, time of month etc. Eat real fats, eat whole food, simple. Your body will dictate the cholesterol levels depending on need

My HDL/TRIGS are 85/45 on a carnivore diet. I'm a living refutation of the bogus cholesterol hypothesis. Heart disease is an inflammatory condition, inflammation comes from carbs and seed oils. Blaming cholesterol is like blaming the fire brigade for the arson caused by plant based diet.

Was taking you seriously until you associated butter with bad trans fats. Yet butter/ghee was in the list of good fats. You need to clarify your position here and not confuse people. Grass fed butter is very healthy and now ackowledged that it is not a contributor to bad Cholesterol.

LDL is not lousy. Cholesterol is a vital substance made by your body. It does not cause heart disease, it reacts to heart disease.
Heart disease is caused by insulin resistance, chronically elevated cortisol, heavy metals, and infections.
Cholesterol you eat has no bearing cholesterol in your blood. But, cholesterol in your blood directly impacts having enough hormones, low cholesterol = low hormones.

Beg to differ a bit here, I think your info is seriously outdated. More fruit is fantastically BAD ADVICE! If you have fruit, it should be berries which are lowest in FRUCTOSE. Fructose is for making us fat for winter, and nature only provides them in late summer or fall I believe for this reason. Eating fruit to lose weight or get healthy is completely misguided advice. It’s SUGAR.
Also, “Cholesterol” doesn’t cause problems. Your body can make two lbs of it a day. LDL isn’t “bad” cholesterol, it’s required by your body. LOW levels of LDL is very bad and more highly associated with heart attacks than high LDL. The real problem is small dense particles which you get primarily by eating sugar and crappy carbohydrates like bread, pasta, flour, wheat, all the stuff people are literally addicted to so the food producers put it in all the prepared foods because they sell better as everyone’s bony craves carbohydrate since it leads to weight gain which long ago predicted survival. It no longer does, but mankind has only eaten carbohydrates for a few thousand years.
Alcohol is more like carbohydrate, than anything else. I agree, 2-3 drinks per day would be a healthy limit.
Finally, best way to lose weight, by far, is a low carbohydrate or keto diet. LDL may go up, but that is not a problem, especially if you are losing weight, which you will, if you stick to eating primarily meat and (low starch, no potatoes) vegetables. Simple.

At 63 yr old, 5.7 and losing weight with limiting carbs, my lipid panel is not that bad except my HDL is genetically low so that always has messed up my total ratio. My old doc passed away and my new doc wants to start me on low dose, 5MG of statins. He even said my recent blood work and lipid panel is "interesting". So, the bad cholesterol is not high. Hard to argue with this army trained and ex Captain military doc, he seems just like all the other 95% of the docs that seem to not understand this topic that well at all. I told him that I was limiting carbs and sugar and eating more fish and meat and he said "those crazy diets will kill you" . Well, I've already lost 13 pounds and gonna lose 13 more. kind of makes me crazy that most doctors have been trained all wrong in this area.

My take, consider update... away fm statins .. & perhaps other options to reduce or remove plaques & unclog arteries. Your in Right Church but, wrong pew perhaps.(?)...ie.> Allopathic protocol(s). Again, You have great info overall but, needs a tad more info , in direction of naturopathic-holistic therapies.
Whats your take on Nattokinase...for instance?..Best types of mg. & optimum levels of Vit. D3, supplementation,
& FoodGrade H2o2. ? Nano- Particle silver & so forth.
Just some thoughts I wanted to bring up for your review.

Such disinformation. Just eat right and fast. These guys want you eating dessert and McDonald’s. Everything he mentioned is big money. He’ll never tell you to eat right because that’s bad for business.

Zero concern or information here about what life style, or nutritional factors caused the blockage, or what changing those same factors would do to improve the blockage. Zero coaching or education for the patient.

Removing plaque from the veins is completely impossible and a "doctor" should know that. You can prevent more build-up with a healthy lifestyle, but not remove plaque.

This video is loaded with misinformation. Only animal products contain cholesterol. Most margarine contains little or no cholesterol or saturated fat, whereas butter contains a significant amount of cholesterol and saturated fat. Trans fats were removed from margarine years ago.
