Avoid stress as you can and get enough sleep. Fasting and low carb are only relevant in that they might help you to lose body fat. You can get great insulin sensitivity on high carb low fat. It always boils down to eat less move more. They can impair the insulin process in the cells. On another note, what about stress? I have been using similar methods to keep my condition in check. When I started gain more muscle my body became noticeable more sensitive to insulin and made my day to day life a lot easier.
