'Let that low insulin state you finally achieved overnight stay low in the morning' - this has been the single most important thing for me on my personal weight loss, get healthy, lose body fat journey of the last 6 weeks. I cannot express how important this has been for making my journey a success, and how it has dramatically helped me lower my blood pressure as I've lost weight & body fat. It also helped me completely give up alcohol as I look at it as a glass of sugar.

Such good information. Understanding how insulin works is the key to understanding your body. Love how he reinforces what we already believe, lift, eat protein, and try to eat real foods.

Grow muscle move a lot and drop to a healthy BMI for your genetics. Avoid stress as you can and get enough sleep. Fasting and low carb are only relevant in that they might help you to lose body fat. You can get great insulin sensitivity on high carb low fat. It always boils down to eat less move more. The rest is marketing.

After watching videos like this on low carb eating, with good amounts of protein and fat etc, makes me think Vince Gironda was decades ahead of everyone else. He was making these suggestions in the 1960s. Good to see more researchers confirming this.

Can confirm. I’m a type 1 diabetic. It was through some of these strategies that I got my A1C down to 5.8.

I did two 5day water fasts in a month and spent 7 months on Keto. IR seemed to disappear after the fasts though; NAFL gone; liver was clean as a whistle.

The unfortunate take aways for many of the listeners.... 1. I might have insulin resistance from being less than healthy. 2. build muscle mass, it makes you less resistant. 3. Cool, I'll keep doing cycles then, so glad I'm being so healthy.

I think 50g of protein per meal, if you eat twice a day like me, or three times a day like most, is a good start. Protein and carbs are also valuable for the retention of your cells, and DNA structures as we are in constant decay

4:33 fat has no effect on insulin resistance? I think some fats do have an effect. They can impair the insulin process in the cells.
On another note, what about stress? I feel like stress caused insulin resistance in me in the past.

As type 1 diabetic I this is very helpful information. I have been using similar methods to keep my condition in check. When I started gain more muscle my body became noticeable more sensitive to insulin and made my day to day life a lot easier. Now I need to inject very small amount isulin each day. :)
