Emerging evidence indicates that cancer is primarily a metabolic disease involving disturbances in energy production through respiration and fermentation. Cancer is suppressed following transfer of the nucleus from the tumor cell to cytoplasm of normal cells containing normal mitochondria. These findings indicate that nuclear genetic abnor …

As someone with an "untreatable" stage 4-b appendix cancer, let me say THANK YOU for all your work and witty explanations. You've just added another tool in my cancer fighting toolbelt, having to build a "standard of care" for myself to fight with natural medicines and nutrition. It's early on. Eight months ago oncologists said I have 6 months to live, but now the majority of my tumors and cancer cells are gone and I feel better in many ways than I did before all this began.
Again, thank you.

Would take my daughter to the Children's Hospital to play her harp around Christmas and other times. Was shocked beyond belief to see the kids served 'jello (sugar)' and in the cafeteria a huge 'buffet' of gummy animals. I was stunned. Sick. No wonder they are so ill. And our medical system has completely failed them. Thank you Thomas!

While completing my undergraduate degree in molecular biology i worked as a valet at a world renowned cancer center in southern florida. I was always helping patients load boxes and boxes of a nutritional supplement into their cars. The nutritional label indicated that the vast majority of the product was added sugar and some protein. Some time later, while parking a patients truck i saw a paper in the passenger’s seat labeled something like “Food Guide”. One of the items listed was “chocolate milkshake from McDonalds, Burger King etc.” This lecture gave me motivation when i began studying for medical school admissions tests and i am now in my second year of medical school. I have confidence that as the older generations die off and younger physicians take their place, the work of Dr. Seyfried and others such as Dr. Dominic D’Agostino will be considered more seriously when determining patient treatment options/plan.

I am a veterinarian, and have been studying human and comparative nutrition since the 1970s. I have found that a high-fat, low-carb diet, combined with intermittent fasting, is the magic bullet for my insulin resistance. No more obesity, hypertension, and I am hoping no more issues with cancer. (Recovered from bladder and skin cancers.) Good vid.

For me it’s mainly the fact that numbers of cases and deaths continue to rise even after decades fighting this disease. It’s high time we start looking at the work of the “Mavericks” in cancer research and see if the modern lifestyle is the issue and what can we do ourselves to combat cancer. This video is gold

He deserves to be listened to very carefully. He is revealing a lot to help us. Also shows how the cancer industry isn't going to change their system. It is all about money and treating cancer with
expensive therapies that fail at a very high rate, like 97% of the time. His therapies do no damage, improve wellbeing, and give a patient a good shot at complete recovery. We should all get on
to a diet that he prescribes. The Ketogenic Diet, restricted in calories. Give the body all the nutrients it needs but without excess calories. The Ketogenic Diet will greatly reduce the odds for getting any of the chronic diseases and should add a lot of quality years to your life.

Years ago I had an old cat develop cancer. Switched diet from processed nuggets to raw food - turkey meat with supplements, and about twice a week a raw chicken wing or thigh. Cat lived another 6 years - was probably around 22 when he passed away. BTW the supplements were NuVet and Nu Pro - good stuff, even for a healthy cat.

Greetings, and thank you for the presentation on your research. I can see and feel your passion in metabolic solutions. I am African American and my grandfather born in the 1800's was vegan when I knew him. My father was raised vegetarian as was I. But in my older state, I have turned toward becoming vegan/raw diet. My maternal and paternal grandmothers died from cancer. My desire is to do what I need to prevent and/or manage disease. I will continue to learn and you have helped to explain what's going on. Thank you again!!!

I love how he refers to fasting as calorie restriction. Because that's what it actually is. Just because you're not shoving anything through your mouth, doesn't mean that your cells aren't eating. You have fat for that reason and the cells are thriving as the ketone bodies are being produced while in a fasted state, ketosis ;)

Wonderful video. The metabolic solution is the production of ketones through diet: Fasting, food reduction, keto diet, and intermittent fasting. The tumor-dysregulated cells cannot metabolize ketones into glucose and they shrink and die. This is also one of the actions of fenbendazole, an anti-parasitic medication that blocks glucose to the cancer cell, the exact mechanism for killing parasites.

It may surprise people to learn that what causes cancer has yet to be proven. The leading idea is called the Somatic Mutation Theory, but it is virtually accepted as fact. We are proud of Thomas Seyfried and his work, and can't wait to showcase him in our documentary looking at other ways cancer could form, and metabolic therapies.

One thing Thomas Seyfried didn't mention in his talk that was mentioned in his treatise: How cancer cells cannot withstand hyperthermia. For example, cancer patients who fever after surgery survive longer than those who don't. 20th century researchers gave patients Malaria which caused a high fever to cure brain cancer. Then treated for Malaria. The exciting news is: there are new lasers that provide hyperthermia therapy.

Very very interesting... this idea of fermentation make me think about those animals (cats or dogs) that we say they know that a person has cancer... could it be possible that at a certain point, these animals smells the fermentation of cancer cells and they know that something is going wrong???Thank you for all the explanations!

A note on the feeding raw meat to dogs. My dog was the second or third smallest pup out of his 10 brothers and sisters. I gave my dog only raw meat, oats and eggs from the time he was 8 weeks old to a year old. Today he is bigger, faster, and yet more muscular and stronger than all of his brothers and sisters. And diet was the only difference between them.

I love that he is challenging the modern myth of cancer as the sick, moneymaking, exploitative con that it is, but his solution still feels a little too "establishment" to me. In stead of whatever drugs he is proposing, I wish he had looked into combining the restricted ketogenic diet with simple high dose vitamin therapies, specifically vitamin C and B17, which appear to be quite effective against cancer as well - just to make the approach even more antagonistic to the corrupt medical establishment.

I have had 3 total surgeries for previous younger cancers including 2019 my new Thyroid cancer. I've bumped up my calorie restriction and I fast more and hydrate more and eliminated most carbs and all sugars except what's in fresh fruit and vegetables and I'll continue because I'm surviving my thyroid cancer. I'm age 72 and I have been genetic tested and I'm not a gene carrier of most common cancers. I also have a blood test that tells my Dr. If I have any active cancer(s) anywhere which helps me feel less anxious. I'm a fan of Dr. Seyfried and I hope he keeps talking about his ideas, which I practice. I'm trying to survive my cancer and there's an 85 % I'll survive until 2024. After that I'll continue calorie restriction fasting, infrared sauna, Kangen water hydration and prayer. 💜💜
Sincerely, Jan Stein Palm Beach, FL

Dr. Seyfried makes a very strong case for the Metabolic Model....and it's clear to me that a MAJOR paradigm shift is ABSOLUTELY essential today...to rid us of the "curse" of cancer...and of the "Cancer Establishment!!!" BTW...I found it very unfortunate that the host seemed to feel the need to be confrontational/contentious...and to insist that we use both "approaches," when there is plenty of evidence today that the SMT approach is an irrelevant/obsolete one.

Thanks so much for all your hard work and sharing this vital information. A very good study would be to look at the effects of the crap western diet and "Hedonistic eating" which has been adopted in recent evolved economic countries and the effects on their general health, obesity/cancer levels which have sky rocketed as apposed to when they had food shortages and famine. Its a no brainer.

Since my treatment for stage 4 tonsil tumor 14 years ago I often wonder if my "cure" was due to the starvation that the chemo induced more than the direct effect of the toxicity of the cisplatin injected into my veins. Now we know more about growth hormones, IGF-1 and so forth and the role of fasting as a treatment I wonder if I had been better off with just the radiation and fasting than also the massive disruption and pain to my GI tract.

The thing is, cancer is the body's response to body being lack of oxygen, that is why it compensates somewhere. Remember that the body has its own wisdom. For example, if you deprive the body with sugar, it gets other source of fuel like fat. I believe same goes with the body with less oxygen in the cellular level. The population is eating too much acid-producing foods that steal oxygen from our body rather than give oxygen to the cells. Foods nowadays are bombarded with sugars, meats bombarded with nitrates, deep fried toasted and baked foods that zero enzymes and water on it and it produces acrylamide that causes cancer! It's all in the overall lifestyle! As I said, the body has a wisdom. Since it lacks oxygen, where will it compensate for it to survive? - it ferments sugar! --- resulting to CANCEROUS CELLS, plain and simple! Do you know why cancer is hard to fight? Simply because the one that a person need is total OVERHAULING of body with toxins, bring back homeostasis... meaning, TOTAL LIFESTYLE CHANGE. The problem is, PEOPLE DONT WANT TO CHANGE - their lifestyle, their food choice, etc. -- but they want to get cured as if there is a MAGIC PILL. There is no magic in healing - but there is a process to reverse them but it needs commitment to discipline. That's why FASTING is effective but only few people takes the challenge to do it.

The challenge of changing the paradigm could be overcome by one simple change: remove the profit motive for cancer treatment.
And for the practice of medicine, period. Just a few decades ago, doctors were paid directly by their patients (for the most part) and doctors offices were not businesses, but a profession. Hospitals were not businesses either, as they are now - doctors and staff were paid for their work, but they were run as not for profit organizations. Then the IRS changed their tax rules, making it essentially impossible for hospitals to run as anything BUT for profit businesses.

Interesting that he speaks of how humans evolved to eat, then advocates a raw vegan diet - when humans did not evolve as vegetarians. But a number of groups of people into the 19th and 20th centuries did thrive on 100% animal diets; numerous others on nearly all animal foods.
Raw vegetables grown without poisons in living soil are wonderful - but the high sugar and/or high starch vegetables, raw or not, will still prevent nutritional ketosis; things like carrots, potatoes, even sweet potatoes, onions, etc, except in very small amounts will raise blood sugar and block ketosis - as Seyfried certainly knows.
Once someone has made the transition to nutritional ketosis, it is commonly reported that their cravings for sweets and starchy food disappears, or is greatly diminished. High fat foods are among the most flavorful- bacon, ham, butter, cream, coconut - and a good olive oil makes any salad more enjoyable. Greens sauteed in bacon drippings, or the drippings from broiling chicken, or duck or goose or lamb - all commonly eaten 'normal' foods in the American diet until our food supply was industrialized - are delicious!
Sugars and starch are highly addictive foods, of course, but have little flavor on their own. A pizza tastes good because of the pepperoni and cheese and tomato sauce on top!

Lost my mum to cancer - so angry this has been known since 1931. Modern medicine refusing to acknowledge nutrition in health is the most despicable means of keeping people dependant on drugs ..amd the manufactured food industry in profit. Nothing more nothing less. Sick of the lies , sick of greedy billionaires playing with lives .
29:52 the dog with the tumour - who shrink the tumour in 3 months . If only I had known this might of saved my dog. I fed my dogs dried food on advice from a vet … in hindsight it was stupid of me to think changing a dogs natural diet to something artificial would be better .

Really a lot of important information to ignore, Health bodies need to give these great researchers a chance, and understand that there is a lot of evidence about the benefits of the Ketogenic Diet, because the number of diseases only grows, frighteningly,
People need to learn more about what makes them sick, everyone needs to do their part,
I see many people saying that it's my life, I'll eat whatever I want, nobody has anything to do with my life,
When they get sick, they are totally dependent on the help of others who are healthy,
But they forgot to think about it, Prevention is one part of the way, the other is what to eat,
Gratitude for the Lecture Doctor

Also, eating raw and nearly raw animal products, including meat, was also common before the industrialization of our food supply - and has been practiced by every culture that we have any information on. I would not personally trust an industrial food product raw - animal or vegetable - but our family has always thrived on raw dairy, raw and rare meats, and raw eggs - from healthy animals raised outdoors on pasture! We are told that the industrial foods sprayed with chemicals, treated with chemicals preservatives, dyes, flavourings, and colourings... And packaged in containers that transfer synthetic chemicals to our food - as basically all plastic containers do.

If a hospital doctor offer a better and cheaper alternative that's not a part of the approved protocol he could be fired and jeopardized his medical license. On the whole the medical industry is driven by profit much more than your wellbeing. Just look at all the numerous doctors cancelled or reprimanded thinking out of the box providing workable and more effective solutions for Covid-19. If you don't ask the right questions, doctors are afraid to provide suggestions. Nothing has changed over the years.

If keto diet would work, then it would be wise to create a nutrition drink that provides the body with a keto diet and have the patient take it through a feeding tube (if they can’t swallow or drink it orally). I heard hard water also helps. Just like other nutritional drinks that are available for people with diabetes.

The main reason that this will never become the mainstream method of treatment is because putting people on Keto is virtually free. The medical mafia needs MONEY to survive and that is why we have ultra expensive chemos, drugs and other useless interventions. You have to change the mindset of Big medicine and bring Big Phama into the world of truth. I would try this solution before ever trying chemo. I only know of one or two people who have survived chemo.

At 24.00, there is a problem. Tom uses lactate and lactic acid interchangeably. That is a popular misconception. The body is not a test tube and the acid and its base are anything but interchangeable. Lactate is not a useful waste product. It is handled by a shuttle mechanism that gets it very efficiently into cells. It is a powerful global epigenetic regulator. George Brooks at UC Berkeley has spent 40 years studying this issue and has developed lactate polymers that can be given intravenously after TBI events. These polymers are already in clinical trials. When lactate is given to the body carbon dioxide can be found increasing in the expired air very quickly. The same is not true of glucose. It would appear that lactate is not only another clean burn, but possibly a preferred on.
Tom talks about evolutionarily conserved mechanisms. Under that premise, why would lactic acid be a toxic waste product? Would it not be more sensible to develop a mechanism to use it. Athletes can be shown to increase their shuttle capability as they increase fitness. So Olympians might have lower lactate levels in their blood than less fit athletes, but they are producing MORE lactate and are then shuttling it back more efficiently as an aerobic substrate. Result? Lower lactate levels.
I like Tom's metabolic argument, but this is a hole in it large enough to drive through a London bus!
Question: What happens to lactate consumption as patients develop overwhelming systemic cancer? My guess is it will go down while blood lactate levels will go up. Hmmm. SOunds like a good starting point for clinical studies. I'm sure they have already been done and I'm just reinventing a wheel.

I find it disturbing that so many vegans take issue with this video. I know that you can easily do a low-calorie vegan keto diet. Get your fat and protein from veggies like avocados, nuts and maybe even a few beans and fermented soy along with other low-carb veggies like kale and spinach. You just don't eat very much.

23:30 BTW the body produces lactate, not lactic acid and it is not a waste product, the hydrogen ions are the waste product and the lactate is what is used to neutralize it. Lactate / Lactic acid is not what causes exercise burn, it is hydrogen ions and lactate is the cure, not the cause. The lacte "lactic acid" myth is very common. Perhaps there was some confusion early on because it was at the site.

The Atkins diet has been misunderstood. It was intended to be a low carb high fat (LCHF) diet - as the meat recommended was high in fat, plus butter, cream, cheese, coconut, and other sources of fat (not transfats, or so-called 'vegetable oils' like corn, soy, and canola - which are all highly processed and harmful).

I started the Ketogenic diet for weight loss 5 or 6 weeks ago. I want to lose 30 pounds. It has been difficult for me to keep carbs low enough, not just because I may end up eating a bit extra carby food, but also because if I accidentally eat too much protein it turns into sugar (neoglucogenesis). So I am only now achieving moderate ketosis according to Ketostix measurement. In this time, I have lost 8 pounds, which is OK. My strategy now is to shoot for zero carbs per day. Hopefully that will help me stay below 50 g carbs/day, and preferably below 30 or even 20 g carbs/day. Another challenge is eating enough fat. I was told, "When in doubt, eat more fat. When in doubt, eat less carbs." So, I'm at a Brazilian steakhouse, taking portions of pork ribs (fattiest meat they served), eating the fat (which was delicious!) and leaving most of the meat. At Golden Corral Buffet, I was looking at the grilled steak. One of them had a large slab of fat on it. I said, "May I just have that big hunk of fat?" The cook looked at me as if I had just grown another head, but he sliced off the fat and served it to me. At Cheesecake Factory (where they have a fantastic 12 g carb cheesecake, with crushed walnut crust and sweetened with Splenda), they served a big basket of bread with butter. I sat there eating the butter, to the embarrassment of my daughter. Even at home, I have to concentrate on eating fat, coconut oil one day, avocado oil another day, olive oil the day after that, cod liver oil the next day, butter, butter, and more butter. I can't get enough fat from my food and have to supplement. Once I get into ketosis, I plan on doing this diet as a permanent lifestyle change. I wish everyone luck who starts it and the willpower to keep with it.
Books I have read:
* The Ketogenic Diet, The Original Low-Carb Diet, Scientifically Proven Approach To Fast, Healthy Weight Loss, by Kristen Mancinelli, MS RDN
*The New Atkins for A New You, The Ultimate Diet for Shedding Weight and Feeling Great, By Eric C. Westman, MD and Stephen D. Phinney, MD, and Jeff S. Volek, PhD
* Bacon and Butter, The Ultimate Ketogenic Diet Cookbook, by Celby Richoux

This is a classic example of forming s hypothesis, and then trying to mold the science to match your hypothesis. He’s right, but he’s trying to be too right. Cancer is driven by somatic and germ cell mutations, we know this. At the end of the day, there is no one thing that causes cancer. It’s a combination of things; somatic/germ cell mutations, increased glucose through increased expression of GLUT receptors, viruses and many other things. It’s a complex process and no two tumors are the same.

Complete bullsh*t. Due to a very aggressive form of prostate cancer, I had my prostate removed July 2022. One month after the surgery my PSA was undetectable <0.000. However, Nov 2022 my PSA went up to 0.007. Although not much to be concerned about I wanted to take action early because the last thing I wanted was the next step of "standard care" - radiation. So after finding out about Thomas Seyfried in December 2022, I fasted initially for 8 days and then started eating OMAD (one meal a day) which was only two heads of cauliflower. Additionally, I fasted 48 hours once a week and fasted 7 days once a month. And after three months, I've watched my PSA score double each month...from undetachable to now at 0.443.

This dr. talks about cancer cells needing fermentation to live and not oxygen in it's form we need. This coincides with the studies that cancer dies in oxygenated environments. And maybe that's WHY it exists only where there's fermentation, because from early times, before humans, it existed with fermentation, before there was oxygen in the atmosphere. I may not be explaining that well, but as this doctor was relating this to us in his podcast, it began to occur to me that the cancer cell must exist in fermentation, because oxygen kills it. The reason for other studies showing that oxygen, ( hyperbaric chambers included ) destroys cancer! Read the Mr. Oxygen books, and listen to his podcasts online. Read the book 02 Oxygen therapies. No wonder the cancer likes a fermentation type environment, it will die in an oxygenated environment otherwise.

Interesting presentation, but...
Transfer of a tumor-cell nucleus giving rise to an apparently normal clone, does not necessarily falsify the DNA-mutation theory of oncogenesis. Many DNA-repair mechanisms come into play upon fertilisation and cell division.
I wonder what Dr Seyfried thinks, and has perhaps studied experimentally, that could disprove such a hypothesis.

49:25 He even says the raw vegan diet works at this point as he also jokes about it and people in the audience laugh. I just look at his waisteline, that says a lot. The fact is the vegan diet is very satisfying once an individual loses their addiction for meat, dairy and processed food. He said he went 3 days but couldn't do it. Why did he even try for 3 days if he did not expect it might be a positive health change. I went longer than 3 days, I went longer than 3 years. Maybe he is right it works for some but not everyone, well it worked for me, I am almost 60, very active, no serious issues, great blood pressure and pretty trim and healthy. If eating meat and dairy can do that for you, I suggest you do it.

Yes, you are brilliant, yes, you are articulate, yes, you are passionate, but the combination, indeed, the concatenation of these three abilities or qualities produces and almost manic level of expression, completely unsuitable for the minds of ordinary mortals who are trying to wrap themselves around your Earth shaking discoveries.
My suggestion, since behavior modification would probably take too long, is to simply indulging perhaps half a glass of wine or a potent cup of chamomile tea prior to your presentations... You should bring you down a few notches without compromising your cognition. The word to the wise!

Make me a promise Bianca, my mother said. "Promise me you won't put me in a home or make me live with one of your sisters".. It was a joke at the time when my mom was just starting to forget things. 06/08/2019 was the hardest day of my life. Watching my mom talk to herself, packing her things 2-3 times a day, saying she has to go home. It was heartbreaking. I broke down and cried with her a few times and then I realized how hard it must be on my dad too. He can't leave the house, he has to convince her that she lives in their house. I came to the decision to quit my job. My dad needs help. I live 7 hours away but instead of visiting my parents, I'll be visiting my husband. My mom has always been there for me and been my best friend so I want to be there for her. I keep telling myself that I can snap her out of it. I got her numerous medications including DONEPEZIL and MEMANTINE instead of helping her, they almost destroyed her due to the side effects. As I was reading more about Dementia on the internet, I met with some comments of people testifying about Dr. Rohan and his BRONGEE HERBAL SUPPLEMENTS that it works for Alzheimer's and Dementia. I contacted the doctor immediately and explained my mother's condition to him, he assured me that my mom will be fine and her memory will come back to normal. I ordered his Herbal Supplements and it was delivered to me here in Canada by DHL courier company in less than a week with instructions on how to use them attached in the package. After 3 weeks of using these herbs, we began to see improvement, after 6 months my mom was better, and it's been 2 years now and my mom is completely free from this horrible disease called dementia. In case your loved one is suffering from Alzheimer's/Dementia I will advise you to use BRONGEE HERBAL SUPPLEMENTS it may also help you. You can contact Dr. Rohan via email; dr.rohanronjohn@gmail.com and WhatsApp; +393512146722 to get yours..

I'm a born again person. Was metabolical stuff. Lustig term. If you read this you know.
6 month lchf fixed me for life. If we are ask to research anything regarding health. Just look at animals in the wild and then be like them. Follow their ancestral diet. You will get better
I hate that we are shoehorned into a trash diet and lifestyle. Stop the stress and garbage non-food. I ask old people how they have lived so long. Bacon and eggs. So simple

Someone should get Rush Limbaugh to watch this video. I will send him a link, but I don't think he will listen to me. I already sent him two messages a few months ago. He never replied.

Dr David Sinclair does some lab experiments with Yamaka Factors. And had great success in restoring eyes problems to mice. I think his treatment should be tested for cancer too.

Think coffee is causing stomach problems never drank until husband died well and perfume ones bc popular. Trying no coffee though tea no dairy for a month June 20 thru July 20…. Only butter in tea. Already dilute with water bc I suspected. Doesn’t decaffeinated coffee have 30% caffeine of regular?

but people still die. means cancer just adapts. Yes, you prolong life so that's something but cancer won't be stopped by keto alone. Maybe you can cause a respiratory shock by injecting H2O2 or sth

You’re asking the question have you seen the movie the fugitive with Harrison Ford that’s your answer and I hope you have bodyguards that as good as Trumps bodyguards. You can also research all the cancer cure doctors that have been suicided.
