I was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma last week. I’m 22 and the situation doesn’t look pretty. I am going to be following this method like religion. Currently on my 4 day of fasting. Only consuming water and electrolytes. It’s amazing how much inflammation I have noticed that has disappeared since starting this prolonged fast.. once I feel like I need food, I’ll eat 1 meal a day and then another 36-48 fast after that meal. I will be fasting as much as possible. When eating, I will be eating clean fish and vegetables.. no sugar or carbs of course.
Main issue is not having glutamine inhibiting drugs!!! So all I can do for glutamine as of now is green tea, garlic, and alpha lipoid acid. WE NEED GLUTAMINE INHIBITORS!!
I will try my hardest to avoid chemo and radiation. My family does not agree with my approach but it is my body.. If this method does not show promising results in the near future, then I’ll have no choice but to do chemo.. but based on how I’m feeling compared to last week when diagnosed, I’m confident in this strategy!! Will keep updating on my progress. I believe that I will win!

I was diagnosed almost 10 years ago, with stage 4 breast cancer as the primary site. I developed liver and brain cancer. I am still alive today, and no one seems to know why. I live a life. God is good. As far as diet is concerned, I am not overweight. I eat a lot of fruits in the morning and drink green tea. I take milk thistle and turmeric. I usually skip lunch, just keep well water hydrated. Have a normal dinner, low carb and drive on. 🚗 hopefully, this is an encouragement to someone out there.

This Dr is awesome. I survived stage 2 breast cancer all holistic I became passionate about Self discipline and this was the beginning. Once I got through the two days of flu like symptoms by cutting out ALL sugar for 67 days I felt like a new born person! Amazing! I never eat pasta bread rice or junk so I'm lucky Never had weight issues. I'm 3 years no cancer I predict I will Never have it again. Why? Because of NO Sugar. Cancer is dead without sugar. It cannot ruin any person if they just go ahead and give it up. You will feel wonderful ♥️

I wish this interview was uploaded 6 months ago when my grandma had still not lost the battle with terminal cancer. I knew the treatment she was getting was totally wrong and the people who cared for her seemed so clueless. Thank you for this interview anyway.

As a type 1 diabetic that went from a high carb diet to a low carb diet, one thing I noticed was that I did not feel as bad if my blood sugar went low. I was very sensitive to low blood sugar before the switch but afterwards often times I did not feel much different even if I was in the 50’s or so. I realized that it was probably my brain that was utilizing ketones as fuel and not as much glucose.

I beat stage 4 NH lymphoma 22 years ago.
At the time I was very overweight. So much so, that my oncology team ruled out chemo and radiation treatment. They said my heart probably couldn't take it because of the excess weight.
Entered a depression. Almost stopped eating, Lost 58kg (128lbs) in one year. Stopped seeing doctors. Stopped doing tests.
After a year I started wondering. Why am I alive? I felt stronger than ever. Not sick.
Walked into a hospital, and to everyone's surprise. It was gone.
Ever since then I've asked a lot of doctors. Is it possible that I starved out the cancer?
Never got anything but laughter and headshakes.

Always wonderful to hear from Dr. Seyfried! The benefits of fasting are amazing, including but not limited to cancer. Some of the many benefits of doing occasional extended fasting: Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body. Blood pressure is quickly and dramatically lowered.
Fribrosis/scarring is reversed over time and telomeres are lengthened, which also helps with lung fibrosis.
Fasting increases nitric oxide.
Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system. It will also remove any 'foreign material' that is not supposed to be there.
Reflexes and short term memory are increased.
After 72 hours or more fasted, your body recycles as much as 1/3 of all immune bodies and creates new ones, rejuvenating your entire immune system.
Vitamin D plasma levels are increased, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy.
Fasting increases anti-aging Yamanaka factors!
Fasting can help with MS, Depression, BPD, Autism and seizures.
Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system.
Weight loss from fasting only loses10% lean tissue and 90% fat compared to the typical 25% lean tissue and 75% fat lost when calorically restricting for long periods. The hunger hormone ghrelin lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting.
Blood sugar and insulin are lowered, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job. Ideal blood sugar is around 80. Some viruses activate glycolosis (the release of sugar in the body) and clinically it has been shown that decreasing glucose metabolism in the body weakens the influenza virus.
When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell which are used to produce organelles and proteins. This means the mechanisms needed by viruses to replicate are by and large unavailable when you are in a deeply fasted state.
What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast, though if the amount is tiny you will go back into ketosis very quickly. Most teas and herbs are OK. Most supplements and meds will either break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many medications are dangerous to take while fasting so you may have to talk to your dr. about discontinuing them during a fast.
Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone and helps build muscle by increasing insulin sensitivity!
The hormone Leptin is an immunomodulator that keeps the body from attacking itself and obesity causes leptin resistance. Fasting very quickly reduces leptin resistance and leptin levels and one day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again!
Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No, your body always runs mainly on fat except for brief periods of very intense exercise. Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose.
Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses and kill cancerous and senescent cells. AMPK does many helpful things in the body including activating the body's antioxidant defenses.
Deep ketosis virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body. This can offset the life threatening symptoms of viral pneumonia which effectively kills you through inflammation. This also creates BHB ketones in your body, which also help your immune system and anti-oxidative system, especially in the brain. Ketones also provide an additional energy source during infection, which is critical when trying to fight off a bug. In fact you can have as much as three times the total energy available in your blood when you are in deep ketosis, or even more.
It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency and thereby making cells better able to fight off infection. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism and cancer prevention!
When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells. This kills these cells off completely. Senescent cells are responsible for the effects of aging and are the root cause of the development of cancer. If it were possible to destroy them all it would completely stop aging and cancer. That is not possible but fasting can help limit these effects by killing off many of the affected cells and limiting the future effects of aging.
Fasting also releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth, helping a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers.
In fact, the biochemical regulator of BDNF production is beta-hydroxybutyrate, which is the same ketone the body produces to nourish the brain while fasting.
Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level.
A fasting mimicking diet for 3-5 days in a row also provides many of the same benefits as water fasting. FMD usually has 200-800 calories, under 18 g of protein and under 18 g of carb.
Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia.
Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. Those with Addison's disease may also be unable to fast without liberal use of exogenous ketones, depending on severity. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness then simply break the fast and seek advice.

My mother just died after surviving 10 years to the day with a brain tumor and stage 4 brain cancer. Thanks to an amazing surgeon who was able to remove the tumor after it had wrapped around her spine a decade ago we got more years with her. After surgery she treated it with holistic method instead of going for chemo

I did keto diet last January. After a couple of days on just protein, I was not hungry. I lost a pound a day, but fainted three times in the first 25 days. I wasn't eating much at all and no carbs. I'm 80. I just couldn't tolerate the severe carb restriction. Eating carbs triggers my lust for more carbs.

Great interview. I am immensely saddened by my "own belief" on those who may be suffering needlessly because they were given all the wrong information on eating a healthy diet. I was wondering what the doctor thought about carcinogens like asbestosis in relationship to the development of cancer. How does that fit into the story of cancer?
I believe cancer is metabolic as well. An old genic code used in an anaerobic environment, much like that of ultra runners developing new energy pathways.
How might enriching the blood with oxygen as well as increasing insulin sensitivity help ward of cell mutations.
Would eating an all carne diet actually increase the nitric amino acid part of the equation for cancers energy source? Therefore, like our ancestors, would it be wise to rotate from carnivore diet to a more natural fruit and high carb diet adjusted by the natural seasons as well followed by fasting like almost all religional traditions practiced for centuries. For short periods of time to clean up dead cells with autophagy?
Is autophagy created by entering ketosis what really sparked the imagination that this could also work against the fight of cancer cells? Just as insulin is used to push more glucose into a cell, it may also advance cancer cell growth?

My dad starved himself of all food in his late stage cancer because he couldn't (wouldn't) eat. That cancer grew faster than at any other time in his cancer history. So this is no magic bullet, to put it mildly. That cancer was feeding on something and it wasn't the glucose or glutamine or glycogen in his diet.

The supplements I would take to suppress glutamine as cancer fuel : Curcumin (Turmeric root), EGCG (Green tea), Sulforaphane (Broccoli sprouts), Lycopene (Tomatoes), Resveratrol (Red grape skins), Berberine, Ashwagandha. Perhaps pulsed; say every other day. Combined with time-restricted eating of a healthy keto diet and some days of fasting. Top three are, imo : Curcumin (Turmeric root), EGCG (Green tea), Sulforaphane (Broccoli sprouts). It will take a lot; for example, up to 5g of curcumin (not turmeric, the extract; build up; take with MCT or EVOO and black pepper / piperine; it's too many capsules, not tablets, so empty into water). Look up these three in pubmed. Use electrolytes and nutritional yeast (for B vit.s) on fasting days. Sorry I cannot reply further than this but this is all I know as a lay person; do your own research. When can, keep moderately active, outside, and de-stress.

One approach to starving cancer of glutamine that is almost sure to fail is changes in diet. “We cannot easily alter glutamine levels with the diet because the body seems to be doing such a good job at maintaining the level at a very steady concentration,” Dr. Pavlova says. “The only time glutamine levels fall is during intense trauma or sepsis, which is not something you’d want to replicate. so I like this interview. He answered the question that I had had watching several other shows he has been on recently. Can water only fasts for extended periods of time resolve tumors. Yes. I appreciate his step with the glutamene drug but can everyone find a practitioner. To me what would make sense is a high fat keto diet, that glutamene drug he recommends and then when you start to get healthier, some extended fasts. My daughter has a 12 year old friend who has some kind of metastic bone cancer that returned after one round of "successful" treatment and now has a very poor prognosis and looks very weak? Could this work on a pediatric cancer like this?

It's beautiful that he's considering diet as an approach to managing cancer. If he were to consider further and research our primate diet of fruit and leaves, he would find it is a diet that actually reverses cancer. He would then realize that the primary cause of cancer is a highly processed modern diet of sugars, starches and meat.

this video is getting a lot of views and while I see the value in public outreach, us as physicians need to be more careful with exactly how we are explaining different treatment regimes and always stress the risks vs the benefits.
what professor Seyfried is talking about is something I whole heartedly agree with and have personally spent a lot of time working with oncology dieticians and strategizing natural nutrition and supplementation approaches in order to maximize outcomes from a multimodal approach to treating and often curing cancer. Chemically, immunologically, surgically, radiologically, nutritionally, spiritually, thermally, socially, and empathetically forming a treatment plan of attack is the best way of treating any uncontrollable cancer.
What really rubs me the wrong way about this video is that Dr. Seyfried is not a healthcare provider or physician and is looking at all of these tradeoffs from an academic and scientific point of view in a format that will very easily misdirect a lot of patients suffering from cancer. The example he gives of glioblastoma is the exception and not the rule, as far as a nutritional/ketogenic approaches to treating cancer. It is a rare form of cancer that really only exists in children and because the normal tissue it is derived from starts out as nerve/brain tissue, it is genetically predisposed to being very vulnerable to glucose restriction. To get a more fair representation of the growing body of evidence resulting from real world clinical trials, I suggest people look into the work of Dr D.Webber. You can find a very easy to understand and well summarized 2019 metanalysis by searing for "29443693" in ur search engine of choice.
In this publication, Dr. Webber compiles all of the high quality studies looking at the effects of ketogenic diet on cancer and raised the following RED FLAGS
ketogenic diet: No effect or Worse off effect in the following proportions of available studies: 25% Glioblastoma, 33% astrocytoma, 100% medulloblastoma, 40% prostate cancer, 33% pancreatic cancer, 100% of kidney cancer, 100% of melanoma.
While the evidence for some potential benefit is probably strongest for the rare mostly child occurring glioblastoma, there are several situations where patients will either loose time and tolerate less life preserving treatment, or even may potentially accelerate the growth of their cancer by blindly following the ketogenic advice of this guy talking about the exception instead of the rule on some random youtube video.
you gotta know when to pump the brakes and realize that what you dont know might be bigger than what you do know, and understand your role as a PhD researcher is not to champion niche treatment strategies that could have devastating effects on the general internet population who most likely has breast/colon/prostate or other much more common cancer.
if you look up the true mechanism of mortality among the vast majority of cancers, you basically end up starving to death, so suggesting a generalizable benefit to cutting down on carbs (thereby likely decimating most people's caloric intake) is just really not your place as a phd on youtube. If youre reading this and u/a loved one has cancer, please consult with a dietician and your oncologist before making any changes to your diet as calorie restriction is more often than not what ends up shortening cancer patient's life the most.
I really do agree with the underlying premis of the importance of sugar/carb reduction and even personally go as far as observing Ramadan each year to force my body to express all those starvation genes we end up involuting in modern western society, and I do value the academic work of Dr. Seyfried, I just wish he would pump the brakes and not be so easy to take out of context on youtube.

My daughter had one of these tumours at age 33. She had 2 surgeries to debulk and was on a ketogenic diet. It did not help. Her tumour just got worse. She ended up with chemo and radiation. Radiation was the worst. I don't know if she could have totally fasted for days. She wasted away down to nothing. She had 3 years of terrible suffering. He does not mention dealing with the temporal lobe seizures. These cancers are terrible.

Doctors can also be dismissive, as I've learned. Some are stubborn and have a big ego, even though they can clearly see what the best doctors in the world are doing or what the latest advances are in their field. They prefer to let you die instead of trying something, and they can be cold as well. Not all doctors are like this, but sometimes they should listen and act like they were treating a family member without getting attached.

I was diagnosed with cancer today. Bugger! Multiple myeloma. I have been eating zero carb, carnivore for 6 months. The critics of the "starve the cancer of glucose" approach say that this is myopic because cancer cells, in the absence of exogenous glucose, will utilize the glucose produced by our own bodies and also produced by dietary protein and fat (they say). Clearly, my zero carb/zero exogenous glucose way of eating has not prevented my cancer. Of course, things are not so black and white, and my story is one man's story, but I would greatly appreciate someone replying to this post and offer advice/elucidation.Thanks.
Edit Mainstream doctors (the ones I am seeing) would never countenance the insulin/ketones therapy. Not an option.

My GB couldn't be found by both a CT scan and a CT scan using contrast. The specialist after I had to coax the doctor for a referral told me that I had to learn to live with it just because I can't have an MRI due to having an old fashioned heart pacemaker (which I apparently didn't need). . That was around 3 years ago. I know it has caused pain and is spreading for at least the past 8 years, one year after the first time I was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer. I could suddenly hear the swooshing of my blood in my left ear 3 weeks before a squiggly vein popped up behind my ear 3ish years ago. So now I have two types of tinnitus. I did my own research. Improved my nutrition. Realised that I need a miracle from God when I learned about glucose and glutamine. I refused a second round of Bladder cancer treatment. I'm 62 and I'm not going to die from cancer. If the Lord Jesus the Christ tarries I'm going to live to be 100 x 💙🙏😇🕊️🌸🇦🇺🧡

So, it seems like the ketogenic diet might help with prevention. I wonder what would be the least thing a person could do a week to significantly raise ketone levels. I also wonder about fasting for an entire day a week and what effect intermittent fasting has on ketone levels. I also wonder about the difference between ketogenic diet and only water fasting.

I would water fast to save my life. It can be done. I just water fasted for 35 days. For my health and to kill any cancer cells I might have. I have had breast cancer. Always fear it's coming back.
I hope my fast helped! If not I reset my blood pressure, sugar and lost a needed 45lbs. I believe what he is saying is the future.

Fasting is works for dogs too.
50% of all U.S. Dogs will get cancer, because of toxic pet food.
Fasting allows the liver and kidneys to do their job, allows cell regeneration and enables ketosis to reduce inflammation.
Fasting removes the "food" source for cancer cells.
My Vet removed a sarcoma and recommended oncology. I declined. He was amazed when he saw my dog, and how healthy she is now.

In the early 20th century, a lady ran a fasting compound of such severity that she killed many of her patients. Many came there to die. But removing food helps most afflictions.. until the time comes you must return to food….

My findings so far: (I am not saying it is 100 percent working but it should help. Always talk with your doctor)
*Some cancers like melanoma is fed by oils so keto diet will make things even worse.
*Vitamin D is very very important and if you have vitamin D levels around 100, even if you have a cancer, it will grow much slowly.
*There are 3 good bacterias which help you a lot during treatment:
Bifidobacterium pseudocatenulatum : yoghurt (you should make the yoghurt yourself otherwise it will not work), kombucha tea
Akkermansia muciniphila: Berberine (it is not found in food)
Roseburia spp.: walnut, red pepper, onion, garlic etc.
*High levels of vitamin E will feed melanoma.
*Drink green tea with turmeric and black pepper couple of times in a day (with black pepper, it is 2000 more times effective)
*Every morning eat one clove of garlic. Make sure to cut it and wait 10 minutes so allicin reaction works.
*Every day try to drink vegetable juices. Normally 75 percent of food we eat must be raw. Try to add different colors, they all have
different effect. Do not forget usually more the color better and more the smell, it is better.
*After dinner, you can eat fruits because fiber in them is very important so that you can go toilet more often.
*Avoid high fats, as they make cells so lazy that they cannot function at full capacity.
*Walk everyday 30 minutes, do not exercise too much though. Exercising moves the glicose to muscles and tumors can not be feed.
*Avoid Canned food, microvawing ve pastorizing milk, and no plastic use at all!
*Higher cooking temperature and longer cooking increase risks.
*Buy these in organic if possible as they contain highest pesticide levels: apple, blueberries, cherry, celery, grapes, kale, lettuce, peaches, potatoes, spinach, strawberries.
*Avoid all VEGETABLE OILS! use olive oil
*If you follow this type of diet, you will go toilet everyday which is very very important for your microbiota also chances of beating cancer is much higher.
Last notes:
* In some people Mebendazole treatment worked because i believe some of the cancers are related to worms in our stomach. so i would say make a test for parasites .
*Probiotic usages were big no no during immunotheraphy treatment but now it is changing. Check effect of CBM588 (Clostridium butyricum) ,Ruminococcaceae,Enterobacteriaceae, Bifidobacterium longum, Collinsella aerogenes ve Enterococcus faecium effects,
*Check Salvestrol. Summary of my findings on Salvestrol:
Salvestrol is the chemical response of plants to fungal infections (mold). We see that Salvestrol levels decrease in vegetables given fungal treatments. When you eliminate fungus with fungicides, there is no reason for the plant to fight, and Salvestrol is not released. Therefore, organic fruits and vegetables have 30 times more Salvestrol.
cyp1b1 enzyme can be found nearly in all cancers but not in healthy cells. When consumed, Salvestrol is initially inactive in the body. When Salvestrol encounters CYP1B1, it becomes activated and attacks. Since only cancer cells have CYP1B1, it only harms cancer cells.
Where can Salvestrol be found? Apples, black grapes, blueberries, grapes, oranges, strawberries, avocados, Brussels sprouts, red peppers, cauliflower, cabbage, olives, parsley, basil, and thyme.

It’s interesting what Dr Seyfried was talking about towards the end about the dog being cured of cancer strictly through diet alone with no need for any additional glutamine suppressing drugs. What I’m thinking is the genetic mutations make the tumor so dysfunctional that when the tumor gets to a certain state, Maybe there’s a perfect time to start metabolic treatment as opposed to when the tumor is earlier in its growth thus less dysfunctional and more able to utilize glutamine? I’m high af and I’m a high school dropout so don’t take me serious

Here's how to kill cancer, kill any hate or aggression that you have for someone. Some folks on earth are very powerful spiritually. It's also vice versa. Make sure you get the other person to forgive you, because being angry and channeling that anger towards someone is what makes the cell grow.

Got a new way worth trying to Kill cancer... use ultrasound guided Thrombin injection into the tumor, to shut off the tumor's blood flow. I was a vascular ultrasound tech. And worked with surgeon's injecting thrombin, though not for cancer. This idea came to me while imaging large tumors and seeing all the blood flow in it and knowing how Thrombin stops blood flow.

The problem with most people is that they change their diet and believe the next day they are on a Keto diet. This is WRONG. The body has to enter the state of ketosis first. In my case this took 11 days for the organism to burn through all the Deposits of carbs. Therefore most people try and give up too early and never see the true benefits Ketosis or a low carb diet(under 50g suger per day) can bring.

Does this work with cholangiocarcinoma? My wife (72yrs old) was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, had all the chemo prior to resection of her liver. The lab results showed good margins, yet 5 months later there are lesions reoccurring in her liver. Her oncologist has scheduled her a new chemo indefinitely as a maintenance rather than curative. She tells us that the average life expectancy is 6-12 months. It sounds like to me like it is a race to see which will kill first the cholangiocarcinoma or the chemo. Again, my question is whether this metabolic protocol will offer real hope for a liver cholangiocarcinoma?

My Mom and Grandma died of lung cancer. It appears to me that the bodies natural defense is to starve the cancer cells(hence the weight loss). But, everybody pushes the patient to eat and put weight back on and in my opinion you are just feeding the cancer cells! Monitor electrolytes closely and let your body do it's job!

Right so learn and practice keto diets and intermittent and extended fasting now for better metabolic health and other benefits. Later in life if cancer develops, then launch into that 21 day water fast. If that can be followed by strategic glutamine blocking 'pulses ' or other medical procedures, even better.

4:04, Ok so assuming we accept the proposition that cancer can actually be starved, then why isn't a 100% cure and total destruction all cancerous cells the the ultimate result of comprehensive metabolic therapy? How do any cancer cells survive at all when staved for a sufficiently long time? As a related point, it sounds like Metformin could play a role in this metabolic therapy.

My wbc count sky rocketed!! This was definitely not what I wanted or expected! I'm confused, and any info would be very appreciated as to what may have caused this. I'm now on more of a pescatarian diet with supplements of curcumin, sulphoraphane, garlic, vit k2d3, fish oil. My wbc has thankfully gone down a bit, but I still need to get a handle on how to manage and control my wbc count through diet because my research alsi said to fast but it had the opposite desired effect. Please, any thoughts?

Sadly this doctor represents the typical misunderstanding of what cancer is and what causes it.
Cancer is not a disease but the result of reversed electromagnetic voltage within the body, this makes it impossible for cells in the affected area to receive enough oxygen. The body survival response is to build an increased blood supply by creating a placenta like structure. This has been interpreted as a cancerous disease. The solution is to correct the electromagnetic flow to minus 25 milli volts and stabilize voltage supply. The placenta then dissipates as no longer needed. If you have an operation to "cut out" cancer this makes the situation way worse as increases oxygen deprivation as well as essential body voltage. Chemo therapy again makes the situation way worse because it is a poison to the body, increasing body stress which is not conducive to recovery.

Thank you, Tom and Jessy, for this fascinating video. Indeed, I survived stage 4 cancer. I learned to starve my cancer and realized that I could save myself when Tom explained to me that cancer was a metabolic disease. This meant that I had built it myself and therefore could destroy it as well. Now my only goal is to help others who are sick. Instead of trying to explain why I am cured, I will only share the facts that helped me survive and potentially help others in their struggles. If you need my testimony, it would be with pleasure. Sincerely Guy Tenenbaum

in 2015 following an endoscopy at Margate Hospital in Kent UK, I was diagnosed with Oesophageal Cancer (a tumour on the throat). My Doctor explained to me that I was 'lucky' because as the tumour had not yet begun spreading, rapid surgery might well cure it. On asking what the surgery entailed, my Doctor explained that a highly experienced Surgeon would:-
1. First cut around, and the dislocate my left shoulder.
2. My left lung would then would be temporarily removed.
3. Which would enable the Surgeon to then cut out my gullet, oesophagus, voice box and a few pieces at the back of my throat.
4. My stomach tube would then be pulled up and sown to the back of my throat, after which my lung and shoulder-blade would be reinserted.
5. A course of Radiation Treatment should enable me to survive for, quote:- "Quite some time".
Ha !!!
I was horrified at the sound of this nightmare !
and explained to my Doctor that (as a sixty year old ex-Military vet) I'd little fear of death BUT.... that nobody was gonna to carve on me like a joint before I met the Good Lord !
I then told him he'd not be seeing me again, said goodbye and walked out of his surgery; heading home to get my affairs in order prior to my demise.
That said however,
nobody wants to die, and whilst waiting for the Endoscopy Report, I'd scoured the Internet for information on Oesophageal Cancer and discovered the supposed benefits of the Vitamin B17 in apricot kernels, almonds etc...
So...
with nothing to lose, I purchased a few tubs from my local Health Shop (it was still legal in the UK to sell them at that time) and started eating them like sweets.
Within six weeks my problem swallowing seemed to have spontaneously cured itself (and having sold my home and given the proceeds to my children as their inheritance) I moved in with one of my daughters and awaited the end.
That was almost eight years ago now, and although the average survival rates for Oesophageal Cancer are little more than twelve months; I'm still alive, eating, drinking and talking normally.
The most wonderful News of all however was that in 2020, my daughter bullied me to visit her Doctor as I was having bronchial problems; which she thought was caused by the tumour spreading.
Her Doctor first looked at my medical notes at about 1000hrs in the morning, at 1400hrs that same day I was having a chest X-ray at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth and...
guess what ?
THE ONLY TRACE LEFT OF MY TUMOUR WAS THE SCAR ON MY OESOPHAGUS WHERE IT HAD ONCE BEEN, I WAS CANCER FREE!!!
So.... ?
If it wasn't the B17 in all those apricot kernels, apple pips, almonds etc... I ate that cured it ?
what else could it have been ?
The whiskey I'd been drinking to help me sleep ?

Wonderful man, my mom was just diagnosed with lung cancer, my father reached out to Dr. Seyfried, he emails us the next day, sends us so much useful information, calls my mom himself speaks with her for over a half hour, gave her so much hope, and now we are working with a doctor in his network here in Northern California. Beyond grateful, has given our whole family so much hope, and while she reads Keto for Cancer, my father and I are reading Dr. Seyfried’s book Cancer as a Metabolic Disease, very illuminating work!

I have been doing keto while on chemotherapy without my doc really knowing. I have had very good response, but whether it is the keto or the chemical poison I can’t tell. One thing I can tell you is that the keto, fasting and exercise don’t interfere with the chemotherapy at all. I plan to continue my home grown treatment as I move on to the next phase. Thanks, Doctor Seyfreid. Never give up!!!

Thank you for bringing this message you don't know how much help you've been. You are literally saving people's lives here today and in a way that doesn't cost them everything they own just to get doses of radiation to the point where it doesn't matter if they've got cancer or not the radiation is killing them. I had to watch my dad's dad go through this. I miss you papa.

I is getting harder a bit but I am getting a lots of vitamins, being positive, trying to get out for walks and get a lots of sunshine. I am planning to continue with a strict keto diet once I finish my 21 days.

First, I want to thank you Jesse for the amazing interviews that you do. I love how you always ask the questions that we want to hear the answers to.I commend you for always thinking of your audience and pushing hard for the answers. Seven years ago, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Immediately the doctors wanted to cut, radiate and do chemo. It’s very scary when your doctors are pushing you so hard with such a sense of urgency.I took a step back, put on the brakes, and said I need to think about this. I made the decision to go the alternative route and then started my search to find a place that could carry out my wishes. I completely understand Dr. Seyfried’s reasoning for not listing places that do these alternative treatments. They would be targeted beyond belief and shut down immediately. But just know that they do exist and you will have to do your due diligence to find a place that will suit your needs. It was the best decision I ever made! Don’t ever let anyone, especially a doctor pressure you into doing something that you know in your heart is not the right thing. Thankyou for all you do to get out this great information to us.

You are a national treasure, I wish I knew about this 25 years ago, but I'm glad I know it now too.
My second husband lost a young son, 11 years old, to Liver Cancer.
Young boy suffered with liver cancer for 5 years, and during these 5 years of fighting cancer, he was more tortured with chemotherapy and radiotherapy than having any good quality of life.
The chemotherapy and radiotherapy were worse than his liver cancer.
In the end, he lost the fight and passed away at only 11 years of age.
I have utmost respect for you, Sir. God bless you🙏

You know, you are right that things need to change and the system is broken but let’s look on the bright side. It sounds to me like anyone could implement this treatment for free if they have cancer. Knowledge is power and if you can spread this message and help people to understand how they can starve cancer cells through fasting and a strict ketogenic diet, well you have basically just freed them from all these expensive treatments that may cause more harm than good and given them a free treatment that works. Right? So this is extremely good news!

I got diagnosed with high grade prostate cancer, even with prostate removal my chances of being cancer free was less than 10%. Before surgery I went on a keto diet. My PSA went from 8 to 1. I showed by doctor this and he just ignored it. So I had my prostectomy anyway.
Now five years later I am still cancer free. When you have prostate cancer PSA is a reliable indicator of your prostate cancer. I now have zero PSA. PSA is not always an indicator of prostate cancer, but if you have prostate cancer, it correlates to it.

The only time my husband's pancreatic cancer shrunk, was when he was fasting through his chemo treatments. With Folfirinox, it was 5 days fast, every 2 weeks. He got scared of losing too much weight and stopped fasting. Eventually, chemo killed him with neutropenic sepsis.

The dietitian then brought her soda, high carb Ensure type of drinks and crackers. I knew that I would not get any backing for a cancer starving diet!

I just ran into this today from my dietitian, who after 30 years in the field totally discounts anything but three meals a day or more. She cannot believe that anything less than three or four meals a day can't be healthy despite that I t that I have cancer. I practically had a throw her out of the room. Her Theory was don't believe anything you see on the internet because I know better. I simply told her she hasn't kept up with the times. And I will need to do what I need to do. To her, autopathgy or calorie restriction would only be to lose weight, which I don't need to lose any more weight I'm at by optimum weight now so she cannot believe I have any reason to restrict my calories. I think most people are going to run into this when it comes to treatment. It's something they don't understand. They think you're a nut if you want to try something different despite the scientific evidence. Even when you confront them with the evidence, they will fight you and discount anything you say.

I highly agree with Dr. Thomas Seyfried because it is true if a Medical Doctor has not spoken and then toughfully researched then they are wasting their time speaking on things that they do not understand. Same goes for the patient whose being told unfair truths that spark fear which is why most Chemos get started right away. Don't fear the unknown be curious.

I found a keto diet, that are really a healthy diet to get my body into using ketones. Just wondering if this strategy will work on skin cancer, as it is also a growth that needs to be starved?

I tried going on the keto diet and I could only do it for three days because I only had 5lbs to work with and I've lost it already. I'm 5 foot seven female, and 126 pounds after a whole day of eating now. I started at 130 lbs. I eat meat and a small amount to go with you vegetables and that's it. I took out all processed foods and all sugar because I don't cook with anything in the camera box. I think I need to add in a few carbs just to keep my weight stable, so I figured it would be good to add a half a cup of kidney or black beans daily. But then I know I won't go into ketosis. I dont know what else to do...I am hoping it would help my cancer anyway. I have multiple zone lymphoma. No chemo yet

Its also interesting that B Vitamins increase cancer growth by 250% (thats what i remember). Never heard that people stop eating these vitamisn once they have Cancer. Also you should mention fasting. It not only starves cancer of sugar, but also of vitamins and autophagy is started(dont know if autophagy specifically helps against cancer)

Book - Cancer as a Metabolic Disease: On the Origin, Management and Prevention of Cancer by Thomas N. Seyfried
Description:
The book addresses controversies related to the origins of cancer and provides solutions to cancer management and prevention. It expands upon Otto Warburg's well-known theory that all cancer is a disease of energy metabolism. However, Warburg did not link his theory to the "hallmarks of cancer" and thus his theory was discredited. This book aims to provide evidence, through case studies, that cancer is primarily a metabolic disease requring metabolic solutions for its management and prevention. Support for this position is derived from critical assessment of current cancer theories. Brain cancer case studies are presented as a proof of principle for metabolic solutions to disease management, but similarities are drawn to other types of cancer, including breast and colon, due to the same cellular mutations that they demonstrate.

What Dr Seyfried is saying is shocking, this means we have to dismantle NH and start again from scrap, because clearly this is not working AT ALL, and it is outrageous indeed that so many people are dying for no reason other than profit and lack of consciousness... Health should be in the hands of each one of us, we were not meant to depend upon others to have a healthy life. Thank you Doc, may you be blessed for your courage and honesty

You can fast. It's not comfortable but it's doable. If it is your life on the line you can definitely fast. If necessary you can start the fasting with some bone broth, a little bit of heavy cream in your coffee once a day. Hunger is a sensation. It isn't dangerous.
We have gotten so used to eating so many times a day that when we start to eat correctly, once a day, at most twice a day it takes a while for our bodies to adapt.
If the person has been eating the standard American diet they may need a week transitioning to a lower carb diet. A week where they don't eat processed foods, pro-inflammatory vegetable seed oils and sugar. Eating real food for a week before starting a fast might be the way to transition.
Then one meal a day, a small meal of healthy protein and fat. Then fast, then fast for longer. This is assuming they have time to do these things.
For those of us who are healthy or at least have not been diagnosed with cancer, start doing these things now. Get rid of the processed food. Entirely.
Eat one or two meals a day, eat healthy protein, healthy fat and if you are eating carbohydrates avoid wheat. Don't eat any processed carbohydrates. You want to get some chickpeas and cook them and eat them, in moderation that should be fine for most people. But don't buy bread at the supermarket especially not the stuff that comes sliced in a bag with a paragraph of ingredients.
Prevention is so very important. Let these videos be the canary in the coal mine, let them motivate you to make the changes that will prevent pain and suffering down the line.

wow, this is so simple. Why couldn't people with free intelligence not gone down this path before and the information freely disseminated and followed up? It makes the most sense. I don't care if the dog is not walking because something is missing in the diet or something else is too much. The simplest natural way would be to get a balanced and natural diet, life style, check cell nutrition levels and let the body do what it can do best as designed.

I’m 5’11 162 pds. I just can’t cut carbs. I just start shedding like crazy. I did a 36 hr fast. Woke up and made eggs and a grilled chicken breast. Went to work with rubbery legs. Took a phone call later for about 10 minutes. When I hung up, I put my arm down and I got a huge, painful cramp. I resorted to eating salt packets at work. I can cut out most sweets and 24 hr fast, but that’s about it. Trying to sustain that kind of diet for the rest of your life would be an absolute nightmare. You’d really have to ask yourself at that point if staying alive would even be worth a strict, never ending keto hell. Especially for a thin person with a high metabolism. I just don’t see how it could be manageable long term.

Cancer is a trillion dollar business now, no one wants to do anything to harm it. We need to take our life and health back in our own hands and allopathy is definitely not the way forward. In India we have Ayurveda (Plant based natural healing which tries to fix the root cause of disease based on your body type and not the symptoms, we also have a tradition of regular fasting (dry and water fasts) which I never understood before, but I know it is based on civilizational wisdom. Great respect for you Dr Thomas Seyfield you are one of the few rare people who really are passionate about fixing the root cause.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer, i had colostomy and underwent chemotherapy, after my ninth chemo i developed peripheral neuropathy, before starting chemo all my labs were normal, after 6th chemo my wbc became low. I was thinking of suspending my last three remaining chemo and follow metabolic therapy instead.

This is what Chatgbt says about metabolic therapy "Metabolic therapy is an alternative or complementary therapy that aims to improve the body's metabolism through dietary changes, supplements, and other lifestyle modifications. The goal of metabolic therapy is to optimize the body's natural processes of energy production, immune function, and cellular repair, among others. This therapy is based on the idea that the body's metabolism plays a critical role in maintaining health and that by improving metabolic function, it may be possible to prevent or treat various diseases, including cancer.
There are several types of metabolic therapies that have been proposed for cancer treatment, including the ketogenic diet, high-dose vitamin C therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and others. The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that has been suggested to help starve cancer cells by limiting their access to glucose. High-dose vitamin C therapy involves the administration of large doses of vitamin C, which has been suggested to have anticancer effects. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber, which has been suggested to enhance the body's immune function and increase oxygen delivery to tissues, potentially inhibiting cancer growth.
While some of these metabolic therapies have shown promising results in preclinical studies, there is limited clinical evidence to support their use as cancer treatments. The American Cancer Society states that there is not enough evidence to recommend metabolic therapies as cancer treatments and that more research is needed to determine their safety and effectiveness. It is also important to note that some metabolic therapies may have potential risks and side effects and should be used under the guidance of a qualified healthcare provider. Cancer treatment decisions should be made in consultation with a healthcare professional who can provide evidence-based recommendations tailored to individual patient needs."

It seems to me that the only way I can get metabolic therapy is to do it on my own. I can easily on my own do water fasting, which reduces the glucose. But what can I do on my own to reduce glutamine?

What I don't understand is how can a keto diet help since animal products are pact with glutamine and if I understood Dr Seyfried correctly, cancer cells can survive on glutamine ? Can anybody exain please. Also glutamine seem to be essential for the rest of the body ?
Thanks in advance

The VA system treated my IIIA rectal tumor 7 yrs ago. Radio, chemo, surgery.
The surgery left me a eunuch with a crap bag and Foley catheter.
If I knew how poor my quality of life would be after treatment, I would have opted out....
My surgeon confirmed what I read online, that cancer cells have 10 times the glucose receptors as healthy cells.
That's very simple math, but it was too late to help me.
I understand now why Farrah Fawcett refused surgery. RIP..
Presently, I have a 2.4 cm mass in my left kidney that VA keeps putting off doing anything about, like a biopsy.
So I guess I'm on my own to slow it's growth via IF and keto/carnivore.
Blood in my Foley bag, Anemia, fatigue, etc, but they won't even call it cancer.

Here is a guest you should have : The author of “How to Starve Cancer” Jane McLelland
Over a period of 10 years she developed a protocol to cure her cancer. She used a combination of diet, exercise, mild chemotherapy, and supplements like Metformin and Quercetin. She found that some cancers can switch from being fueled by sugar to protein.

I love Dr. Seyfried, but this is a little frustrating. He's asked numerous times where to go, and his answer is, "Well, go to your local clinic and see how that goes. They'll throw you out." I totally get that the medical establishment isn't ideal. So IS there an actual protocol people can do at home? Is there a clinic where Dr. Seyfried sees patients? I love that there are answers out there and probably a protocol, but...where? Thanks!

This is intriguing.watched many of your vids on this.I agree radiation and chemotherapy is Stone Age barbaric poison. Horrific. 100 years from now they’ll look back at this ,like we look back at bloodletting. But I have one question on cancer being a metabolic disease. If it’s a metabolic disease I am confused on how babies at birth or month old can have cancer right away. When they didn’t have a chance to cause metabolic problems. With their diet. Please explain thank you.

But what is metabolic therapy? Please give an example .Is it recommended for any stage of cancer. Logical theory needs experimental data to substantiate. Mono sodium glutamate in virtually every processed food could it be playing a deadly role?.
Surely if your blood sugar is normal you are not vulnerable? So a keto diet is going to starve malignant cells.?

HOPE YOU WILL READ AND ANSWER THIS MESSAGE
Professor Seyfried says:
“During malignant transformation, cancer cells modify the consumption and processing of glutamine to sustain cell growth and proliferation.
Both Glucose and Glutamine are cancer cells fuel.”
In a Carnivore diet, one consumes high levels of Glutamine. Yet, I understand that Professor Seyfried is approving of the Carnivore Diet, as preventing cancer. Or have I understood incorrectly??
I am not a medical professional and trying to understand his message correctly. Look forward to your response.

I disagree with some of the things he said about cancer treatments available now. My family member has Stage 4 adenocarcinoma, her oncologist told her she only had 1.5 yr to live, but she is still surviving after aggressive chemo therapy and now she has lived 3.5 yr after diagnoses. Besides, The genetic therapy that many lung cancer patients are using to turn off gene mutations such as EGFR, RET, ALK, are able to extend many years of their lives without the side effects of chemo. Also, Many many colorectal cancer patients with high PDL1 score respond extremely well to Immunotherapy such as Keytruda and they live many many years just like a normal person. His generalization is too generalized 😅.
Besides, for those who are overdosing on sugar and processed foods and eating very unhealthily, a simple improvement of diet can definitely get a good response in their cancer. However, for people like us who already eat a very healthy diet, it is not that simple to shrink the cancer. Again, it is NOT that simple.
For some very early stage cancers such as tongue cancer, possibly caused by HPV virus exposure, those are easily improved by simply improving immunity, diet, reducing stress and improving lifestyle. This doesn’t apply to all cancers!! Cancer is a highly individualistic and specific disease that you cannot just generally “cure” just by changing diet.
Don’t mislead people to think that all treatments are bad and useless! The least thing you want is to have patients not willing to look for treatments and self-treat until it’s too late!

Go to your naturopath & dietician to set up a Ketosis diet that you can follow & then you have assistance from your Dietician in maintaining your dietary program. The hardest thing about cancer treatment is changing the food you eat , reducing a toxic environment and our modern lifestyle . The medical doctor & the hospitals will not support this new treatment regime We are in a huge mess concerning alternate successful treatments . How do we change the broken cancer system that is being controlled by big Pharma who make billions of dollars from selling their cancer drugs , chemo & radiataton treatments that are basically ineffective treatments as the cancer death rates remain high. I Appreciate the logic & commonsense approach to this less toxic & better cancer treatment.

So it is being done, they also have clinics in the US and Australia, probably elsewhere. They don’t recommend Keto though, they recommend a Mediterranean diet. Just low GI and low sugar. But having less than 30 grams of carbs a day seems too extreme to me.

I lost my much beloved wife to glioblastoma in 1998. She was 33 when diagnosed, and died at 35. She left behind a 2-year old daughter, and two mid-teen sons. We had done all the traditional therapies: surgery, chemo and radiation. We even went to Mexico for a few months of bogus "medicine". I wish this therapy was around at that time. I am so glad for those who can now be saved.
This is the best news I have heard since losing my wife and best friend.

I lost my wife to gliosarcoma June 23, 2004. Gliosarcoma is similar to the glioblastoma discussed in this video but even more aggressive. She fought it with grace and courage for 18 months, 3 times longer than she was given at diagnosis. She was also a 5 year breast cancer survivor, the two cancers being unrelated.
The MRI's shown here could have been hers insofar as they're so similar. Seeing these brings back such a rush of painful memories. Sighs, I miss her terribly.
Yet my heart is gladdened by this report, with the hope others will not have to endure what she and I did.
I have the gray ribbon for brain cancer as my profile avatar. For all those who fought and lost, lest we forget, and to those few who've fought and won, your courage is beyond compare.

I am very grateful for the success of this much needed therapy. As an RN my heart dropped when I realized that Stephanie Hopper was Stephanie Lipscomb, the trail blazer of this research. 60 minutes should add her maiden name at 54:10. May her light continue to shine through and through to these brave souls and their families.

Thank you to all of medical explorer's out there. My dad was also a medical explorer. He was in a cancer medical trial at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute. He was the oldest, on the medication longer and was completely cured of bone, brain, lungs and liver cancer than anyone on earth. He passed away of natural causes at 92 years old.

Dr Rohmier, Henry Friedman and the team deserve a Nobel prize. This is huge victory for human kind. Having lost my father (1986), close friend's brother (2015) and ex - colleague's sister (2019) to this terrible cancer - Astrocytoma Grade 4, also called GBM it is so satisfying to know there is hope.

How incredible!! It was so wonderful to see pt#1 & pt#3 just living life now as it should be. What incredible courage that young woman showed!! At the same time, my heart goes out to Nancy and her family. Her life, for certain, has benefited countless others ❤.
For a couple decades I worked as a Neuro ICU RN and saw many pts suffer and pass from brain tumors. It was heart breaking. I now work to support clinical trials but not in the Neuro field. It's exciting to see these advances which,in my mind, would have implications for most all tumors I witless think, that are contained tumors anyway.. Bravo Duke Team !!

To all ppl who have endured cancer my heartfelt love goes out to you all every one a warrior to those who pass from it you are not forgotten ❤️ ♥️ for those still fighting this program could lead them to hope for those of us surviving it's a day at at time and a priceless blessing it's during this time receiving love and kindness goes a long way don't let everyday things get in the way of telling that survivor for however long they get to spend that you love them for when you go through it alone only the lord hears your tears so if you know someone that's going through any stage of cancer take some time to spend a little time with them because none of us know the day we will be called home Amen Lord Jesus for the gift you give me upon waking which is one more precious day of life Amen

My dad lost his childhood friend to glioblastoma (brain tumor) in 2006 😢.. his name was Tom, and he was absolutely most fit person we knew at the time, did daily runs; would do marathons etc. Least he got to Travel the world before passing. RIP. It's one of the reason's why we donate each year to Cancer Society in New Zealand.
I remember growing up always getting treats and OJ; and being allowed to pick strawberries from his garden to eat.
In his last weeks of being alive, he was miserable and my dad felt awful so they gave him some chocolate (he wasn't suppose to have it) but it was a moment of happiness in absolute dread.. 2 weeks later he passed away.

So exciting to have these treatments available. I’ve lost several love ones to cancer. And I wish they would spend more effort on determining the cause of these cancers. They seem to be on the rise. Roughly half of us wind up with cancer someday in our lives. I suspect it is all the radiation that we have allowed to proliferate due to cell phones.

I am a survivor of stage 4 lung cancer for 4 years.nearly died from every chemo treatment because of allergic shock.took 25 radiation treatments, was like laying in the sun, loved it.and when it shrank from the tennis ball sized to a much smaller size, the surgeon then aggressively opening me up,not only removing the tumor but half my right lung and ,a rib or two.i never expected to live thru it all.i am 61 years young.the strangest thing came out of all this.when you live for years with the mind set you are dieing.,and it turns out your going to live, you have to learn how to live like your living again.

I was an investigator of glioblastoma from late 1990s to early 2000s, and Bigner was one of my role models and had my greatest respect. Back in the days and probably today still, we didn't talk about "cure" of GBM; our goal was to make it to a chronic and manageable disease. Seeing some of the patients to survive so many months after the treatment, as Friedman said, is already very remarkable.

My brother passed on last October by glioma. The tumor became 2 tumors and he lost strength on his right side gradually. He had sugery, felt better for a few days, then passed on -10 days later. Seeing these MRIs brings back the memories, our hospital visits, etc. 'Just seen this video, I don't know if this information would have helped had we had come across it earlier. But this is just great. I hope many patients are benefiting from this treatment now. I thank God for these doctors/scientists and for the years we had with our brother.

As someone who just heard the words, "you have cancer" a out a month and a half ago, I can tell you the feeling is hard to describe. Hardest part has been being scared to death, having Dr's. Say they think they can beat it but having to fight insurance company's tooth and nail with appeal after appeal just for the test that needs run. It's sad what you have to go through on top of it. Now I'm in radiation with chemo and have a new fight. Having to come up with money for gas to drive to treatments 70 miles a day for 2 months. It's no wonder so many people don't make it

As a retired RN I remember we had a nickname for glioblastoma, we called it "the terminator" (not in front of patients or relatives obviously) because of how fast it kills and the terrible practically non existent 5 year survival rate.

It may not have been the cure they had hoped for, bit it did help prolong their lives. In Stephanie's case, it gave her 8 more years... long enough for her parents to see her get married. It may not yet be a cure, but it definitely has potential to be a blessing. That is what needs to be remembered.

It couldn’t have happened to a sweeter lady. I wished my dad & uncle could’ve gotten that treatment as my dad past away January 16th 2023. I was with him every hour for the last ten days of his life. Something that will haunt me til my last breathe. It’s the suffering & the inability to do nothing to help.

As someone with Li-Fraumeni Syndrome (genetic predisposition to developing sarcomas) and survived 2 cancers by the age of 40, I watch this with intrigue.
But I am not optimistic because my own personal situation is on dire financial straits.
So if I ever develop a 3rd tumour, it might be game over by default for me since I can't afford such expensive therapies.

R.I.P. Tony Schnur (Thick44) from Neebs Gaming who recently passed away after fighting Glioblastoma so valiantly. I don't know if this treatment was available to him, but if it wasn't... I wish it had been. Watching this episode of 60 Minutes is bittersweet. Sweet, because others facing a diagnosis of Glioblastoma will hopefully have an effective weapon in the future to fight back with. Bitter, because we have lost so many wonderful people to Glioblastoma (and all cancers in general), for so long. For too long. We owe these warriors a debt of gratitude that we can never repay. To Tony specifically, you made a difference and a positive impact in the lives of so many people, including my own. You will NOT be forgotten.

I’m surprised they didn’t realize sooner that giving chemo after the polio virus would be helpful. Wouldn’t that be a better & safer approach than to increase the polio virus? I also think the person’s immune system is a determining factor - how strong was it before they got cancer? Did they have underlying health conditions? I think that’s why Stephanie & Fritz lived so long - cuz they had strong immune systems. Fritz died 9yrs after being diagnosed with glioblastoma.

My great friend and a good man died from a aggressive gioblastoma in 2009 at Charlotte, NC. He was Dr. Tomas Hauch, also a pioneering oncologist who brought hope and life to many but tragically his weapons were ineffective in his own case. I know he would be fascinated by this approach. The ideas in use here do hold great hope. The trick will be to remain healthy enough for long enough for the coming treatments to be used.

My best friend/sister, just past away in January 2023 from a glioblastoma that was the size of a golfball behind her right eye. She went through the radition, chemo, surgery, the whole nine yards. After surgery the tumor just went on a speed growth. She was given 3 to 6 months to live. She lived for 5 1/2 month from the first day of diagnosis. She was a veteran, and was receiving help from the veterans hospital, and a special oncologly hospital in Florida. I miss her so much.

My mother died of Glioblastoma in 2004 after 15 months of having it. Her brother died of Glioblastoma in 2014, roughly 10 months after being diagnosed. The odds were astronomical that would happen. I sincerely HOPE and PRAY this is a TRULY SUCCESSFUL treatment for the cancer my mother's oncologist looked at us and said "There's no point in treating you, you're going to die" mere HOURS after her surgery to remove the tumor. Mom left behind siblings, children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, her mom and a wealth of people who loved her. She DID have gamma knife surgery when the glioblastoma came back the first time. That worked for a while but then it came back again and attacked her brain stem. She left us within a week. Y'all have NO idea how many tears are flowing here watching this.

I would have given ANYTHING for my mama to have access to a treatment like this. She did not deserve the suffering she endured for years. Twice she went to 2 different doctors, after having cancer previously even, and they didn't believe her. They said her pain was "just a part of getting older" or "it comes with aging." No it doesn't. It was cancer again and so much time got wasted. I miss her EVERY day.
I love you, mama. RIP 12/14/2022.

As modern medicine advances the quality of life goes up. Both heartfelt loss from some and gee for others as the chance of life goes on, every life is precious, live well for we are born to die. The world needs a cure for war, where the politicians become Dr's. This is good news, advancing medicine inspiring hope. With a tip of the hat, I thank you all, the Dr's, the researchers, and everyone involved. Thanks for sharing.

Brain cancer is probably one of the most challenging cancers to use this therapy on because of the damage that swelling causes inside the brain. I would imagine that the same swelling would be far less of a concern in someone with lung cancer for example.

Last weekend my friend flew all the way from Barcelona to Sidney. His only daughter of 39 has discovered that she's having a breast cancer. Her late husband was also an only child, died in an accident years ago. In-laws in their 70s & 80s respectively, she has no one to take care of her two daughters -- cancer is a monster, I hope she'll get through this with flying colours ❤️.

I had an overwhelming sense of happiness for Stephanie, Nancy, and Brendan. To find that they all lost their fight with this particular form of cancer is wrenching. Their stories are a testament to the will to try and fight, and the advances in medicine that the Lord gifted to these researchers. We are all saddened by their losses and hope that a treatment or a new breakthrough can be found to push the knowledge and prognosis of glioblastoma can be reduced. And ultimately eliminated. That Dr. Fritz Andersen's name is not mentioned at the end of this episode leads one to wonder if he is still living his amazing cancer remission? Puzzlingly, searching on the internet is not turning up much info about his case and essentially nothing additional since the mid 2010s.

Update: Retired Virginian cardiologist Dr. Fritz Andersen died of cancer in 2020.

This is a little similar to my treatment for stage 1 bladder cancer.. my treatment was called BCG treatment, where they insert bacteria of TB, tuberculosis, into my bladder, over a period of 8 weeks..this was done after surgery to get my immune system to attack any left over cancer cells left inside..so they have been researching in this direction for awhile...

So many questions.
1. What caused Stephanie to die after eight years of no cancer? Did the Glioblastoma come back with a vengeance and did the polio treatment stop working? Or did the T cells stop responding to the polio treatment?
2. Did the Glioblastoma come back and did a larger immune response or more rapid response from the T-cells cause a brain swelling similar to Mrs. Justice and eventual death?
3. Would immunosuppressive drugs be counter intuitive to the polio+T cell response?
4. Would giving people with Glioblastoma a polio vaccine help prior to administering the cold virus swapped polio treatment increase the T cell response?
5. I understand that Glioblastoma is fast, doubling every two weeks and understand treatment protocols are time sensitive which makes me wonder…if Glioblastoma keeps coming back years after as in Stephanie’s case how often was she getting checked? Assuming she was getting periodic checks.

Although whether Stephanie's death was due to her cancer was not disclosed, according to a brief report published by the research team[1]
, glioblastoma relapsing 5 years after the virotherapy is not uncommon. Maybe Stephanie was one of them.
So you can understand why oncologists are very reluctant to use the word “cure”, because cancers are extremely unpredictable. Even though glioblastoma grows extremely fast (doubling in size every two weeks), it can also lie dormant for years waiting to reactivate. Living under such lingering fear is never easy. Maybe a better attitude is focusing on how much we enjoy every day after diagnosis rather than how many days we survive.

I didn't hear how much the projected cost would be. It seems promising, but the sample size is small and of that the number of patients out of 22 who lived past 6 months was 4, while some suffered serious side effects till they died. I know this is a last resort medicine, but hopefully they will get to a point where they will be able to cure most patients that recieve this treatment. Otgerwise, it could be a huge financial cost to only posisbly extend your life a few months on average.

Love this video! Although the confusing part to me is how he mentioned that all organisms underwent aerobic fermentation before oxygen came into the picture 2.5 billion years ago. If that’s the case, how is that possible because I thought the very meaning of “aerobic” is in the presence of oxygen, whereas anaerobic is not in the presence of oxygen. Many thanks to someone who can explain it to this guy!

What about skin cancers? It would appear that the ultraviolet light is causing damage to the respiratory system in the skin cells? I am curious about this in light of the metabolic theory of cancer. Great interview.

I had a 10 1/2 cm meningioma brain tumor. 18 years ago was my last surgery a 20 hour surgery at brigham and women's hospital in Boston and a 12 hour surgery right before that at Fradert Memorial Hospital in milwaukee my optical nerve was cut after my surgery in Boston so I now have Hemianosia and Alexia without Agraphia. My tumor is still there as far as I can see but not growing according to my scans. The parts that are left are raptor on my brainstem and I had a special radiation done after my surgery in Boston. I've been using A ketogenic diet and modified ketogenic diet along with intermittent fasting. I'm in good health otherwise I do you periodic HIIT training and I live on the ocean and Carolina Beach does the ketogenic diet work for non-cancerous tumors? I also just found out my dad has the same type of tumor now and he'll be 70 this year and he's in great shape but he said he's not gonna do anything about his tumor but just watch it. So I guess that's why I was asking if this diet can help? I will definitely be in the sun as much as possible, get grounded as much as possible in the ocean sand maybe try the blue blocking lenses when inside.

My dad died while having pancreatic cancer, but it had not spread at the time of his death. It seems he died from cachexia. So how would you battle cachexia on a ketogenic diet? I've been on a ketogenic diet for a short period of death and the weight loss was significant. My uncle is battling lung cancer now. I want to help him.

I am writing 6 years after this video. It seems, as of this time, that actually, cancer cells CAN feed on ketones.
There had been this big excitement that hey, maybe we’ve figured out how to specifically target cancer cells: We’ll put the body into ketosis, so the body cells will continue but the cancer cells will starve, hey Nobel Prize time! Then it turned out that cancer cells were not so easily targeted and killed. They’re part of the body after all.
Bummer.
I don’t know what is the latest news on this. Just wanted to mention that there have been a lot of developments since this video was made 6 years ago.

Incredibly powerful, potent information. Generalization question: almost daily intermittent fasting vs 5 day fasting or longer - which is better or is it individually posed?

I would like to get a comment on stress. It is my understanding that stress is necessary basically being in a sympathetic dominant state to facilitate cancer in the first place.

Keep spreading the truth but remember to grow spiritually strong not just physically and mentally. YHWH loves you and wants you to come to know Him. Blessings in Jesus name.

I ask the following questions not as a way to criticize, but because I am generally interested and indeed optimistic.
The questions I have are: 1) if it's the sugar, why isn't there MORE cancer? And 2) if it's the sugar, how come some people diagnosed with stage 2 or 3 die with rather than from their cancer (because surely not everyone stops eating sugar after a diagnosis). Also, I would point out that I believe Seyfried maintains that the cancer has a mitochondrial defect that prevents it from using the abundant oxygen. Not everyone believes this.

Aging cannot be a simple matter of "the Second Law of Thermodynamics." The laws of thermodynamics apply equally well to sperm and egg cells. Why is it that thirty year old parents can have a baby whose cells are NOT thirty years old (or three billion years old)? If it were a simple matter of the 2nd Law, baby cells would be just as old and decrepit as their parents' cells.

The question not being asked is why are there cancer stem cells? And they are not some aberration. They have embryonic stem cell markers on them. Is it not more likely that cancer is a nocebo effect?

Cancer is a spiritual problem. Until now the ways to understand cancer where wrong! It makes more sense to observe and heal cancer with the use of the 4th and 5th dimension. Can anyone understand me?
