Good morning!
I am contacting with you because I am very much interested in the topic of sirtuin activation and general antiaging. I have been following various studies for years and have a strong interest in this subject. I have been wondering for a long time about the properties of astaxanthin (specifically, whether it works antiaging or also activates sirtuins). Have you ever done any research on astaxanthin? Is our any information on this subject you could share with me?
Thank you very much in advance for your help!
Kind regards,
Mikolaj Niewirowski

There is a way to get clarity of safety that is more effective than mechanical instruments/testing, but that will require that scientist recognize and employ the value of intuition. I foresee a future where the most sensitive and trained instruments on earth (certain type of humans) and scientists work together in harmony to make great and highly valued strides.

Can someone please explain to me - if scientists know now how to reverse cell age virtually at will, how is it that the absolute best we can hope for is another 50-60 years at most? Surely we will reach LEV long before that? Its almost impossible to think that we wont have completely and comprehensively addressed this 'condition' by 2080.

i was really surprised he said he is not sure we will have immortality. he has often said we would not just reduce the flow of ageing but be able to reverse it? so makes me wonder if everything i have read and heard is really valid. i hope it is not a pipedream and it will happen in the next 15 years.

It's absurd that poor countries have little access to cheap life-saving drugs such as antiretrovirals and antimalarials, while in rich countries they are already blah-blah-ing about anti-aging drugs. What a world!

If the FDA is the problem, you should to move to a country that will be easier to go on with all the researchers.
The paradigm is absolutely different than the FDA is made for. We need new rules, just imagine... The american pharmacy industry wants a world without diseases? They will try to block anything that attack their profits.
Just look for a place that all these ideas could success.... Maybe USA is not the right country

What was it in the cuneiform Sumerian King's list...
Something like 14 rulers over a span of 38,000 years.
We have some of that genetic, although degraded through the millenia because these rulers created us via their genetic intervention.
Or is that just not Scientific enough to base anything on?

Why do we age?
What changes in our bodies to cause us to age?
So....do we fix the root of the problem or do we stick with tradition and focus on the systems.

David, Peter, you did not good by not dismissing cryonics out of hand, and even putting a possible positive take on it. I would ask you to keep a curious attitude toward it and never dismiss it until it presents some insurmountable challenge. With the prospect of highly advanced medicine down the road, I don't see any show stoppers.

Love the podcast; though who in their right mind would want to live to 200? Regardless all the tech in the world isn’t going to regrow the desolation we have inflicted on the planet our natural resources & each other. The lost state of humanity is a key ingredient. Long life is part of a healthy species.. dots connected perhaps that’s why we are so afraid of death & for 1st world nations closer to it than any tribal group or simple living people’s.

1% of the population has "unbreakable bones". Scientists are studying them just like that they did with pcsk9. Peter, since Alzheimers and broken bones are a leading reason that prevents one leading a healthy old age life, would you speak to that research on bones in your next video? Thank you for this one. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Definitely our worst problems are aging and death.
We see the acceleration of technology, how humans progressed in the last centuries and how humanity came from the stone age to what we have now.
Think about it...
It's an incredible long travel who is almost impossible to conceive, how we were a few thousands humans during an extended time and we could still survive until now.
Being alive and healthy is the most precious condition we all have...it's totally normal to seek negligible senescence and push forward in this direction.
We should put all our strengh on this.

My good friend David Sinclair is a professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School and author of one of my favorite books, Lifespan. He also has a newsletter (if you aren’t yet subscribed, you can find the link below) which most recently has been focused on providing truthful updates and facts on COVID-19.
There's a lot of confusing information being spread. So, we went live on Instagram to discuss the following:
- What seems to work in terms of treatments?
- Is the virus changing?
- What can we do to stay safe?
- What does the future hold?

I enjoyed the discussion on the mutational frequency of SARS-CoV-2. And I like that you point out that we are looking for potential mutations that could increase in virulence. However, I think that it is important to also point out that often an increase in virulence reduces transmission competency. The other point that may be important is to note that point mutations do not necessarily result in an new strain that is no longer immunologenic in a manner similar to the original S and L strains.

Amazing what these developments reveal about us. When the harsh gets close to the bone, we see who is vital and who is sent home. Great respect for the teams and crews taking their lives in hand every day they head to clinics, hospitals and labs. However, what is also clear is that many in our society that handle food and goods and giving needed services have been discounted and made to feel like ‘losers’ for not having PhD’s, started industrial empires, or had the good sense to pick wealthy parents. Aside: most of America dies in the same tax-bracket they are born into and rising above the fray takes smarts, usually, but above all luck. We need to value everyone and start paying these vital roles vastly better. Dramas like this are an opportunity for us to rise to greatness. This event unites us and as we recover I am confident things will never be the same again.

I love the intro by Peter here that it bears repeating -for the first time in human history we are united against a common enemy and the technologies developed as a result will forever be ready for the next viral threat. Very much like the incidental technologies that came from the space race and world wars -totally unexpected. But what's more is it brought to light just how vulnerable we are as a species and will maybe give greater emphasis to things like climate change and the importance of expanding beyond the planet

Pit it's only a few who prefer these guys than Elon Musk, I look at them and the feeling they are more important is immediate. But don't get me wrong, it IS NOT because the virus is because of all the research they do in their careers. I'm a long fan of dr Sinclair, so I keep waiting when I will hear in the news: "multimillionaire or even billionaire professor dr David Sinclair just announced a new service for those with interest to recover ....." By the way, I hate how Nicolas Tesla ended, I'm a full anti-socialist/"corporativist" when it comes to inventions and his creators. Just cheering

what really interests me, is the high mortality rate from Covid19 in countries with high % of influenza vaccines in the population. Examples being Italy and UK. From reading in 2017 in the 60year up group 52% of Italians received that vaccine for example. Can there be a correlation? Im not antivax, just something which entered my thoughts.

Peter, your commitment to medicine, science and the frontiers of longevity is an inspiration. CRISPR gene editing will be both controversial and inevitable. It's our duty to be as informed as possible about it as citizens and potential patients. Thank you for pushing the conversations at the highest levels.

Thoughts are powers and with your train of thought you automatically direct your RNA and your RNA instructs your DNA to become what you think.
Everything consists of energy/frequency/vibration (Nikola Tesla). You as a person also consist of energy and you can grow in energy. You are here on Earth to heal all fear. When this succeeds, you are not only spiritually free from the negative mindset, but also free from all illnesses, because only through your negative mindset can you become ill.
Healing starts with forgiveness (nothing to do with religion) and then CRISPR is really only a support, because you are already walking the path of healing.

Hi! Could you do a quick video for EU members in your audience, asking them to endorse a longevity science initiative? :)
The top 3 endorsed proposals are invited to speak to EU Parliament's Conference on the Future of Europe in 2022. It's third at the moment, so let's keep it that way, or better yet, try to get it to nr 1!
I'm not sure if I can post links on YouTube, so look look up "Science-intensive healthy longevity technologies: development and access"

If you have all the characteristics of a centenarian-in-the-making, and if you exercise and are healthy (not diabetic), should you take metformin? What about the emerging evidence that metformin blunts the effects of exercise, especially in the non-diabetic elderly?

In May 2020, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommended that some makers of metformin remove some of their tablets from the U.S. market because an unacceptable level of a probable carcinogen (cancer-causing agent) was found in metformin.

But why do centenarians live so much longer and healthier than typical people? I didn't catch the answer in this video clip. Maybe it's in the full video? And where is that one?
