Here are some key points made in the video:
- Omega-3 fatty acids are important for reducing inflammation, improving insulin sensitivity, and building the nervous system and brain. Fish oil supplements are recommended, stored in the fridge to prevent oxidation.
- Magnesium is essential for utilizing ATP, DNA repair enzymes, and reducing inflammation. It also improves sleep quality. Food sources include leafy greens, chocolate, and supplements like magnesium glycinate.
- Vitamin D is critical for immune health and reducing risk of cancer and autoimmune disease. Sunlight is the best source but supplements around 4000-5000 IU per day are recommended, along with occasional blood testing. Vitamin K2 may help direct calcium properly when taken with Vitamin D.
- Micro-minerals like selenium and zinc are important co-factors but often depleted from soils, so a supplement can help restore levels.
- Cycling on and off certain supplements like magnesium or vitamin D is generally not necessary - they can be taken consistently like drinking water.
In summary, the key supplements highlighted are omega-3s, magnesium, vitamins D and K2, and a micro-mineral complex for overall health and longevity. Getting levels tested, proper storage, and picking high quality supplements are also emphasized.

I switched to liquid omega 3, kept in the fridge since your last fish oil video. I'm so glad my Mum is now taking it too as a smoker. I take D3+K2 but always forget about the power of magnesium, must order more. Magnesium sleep is so lovely! I'm having my morning cuppa in the garden tomoz after listening to this! It's easy to get complacent about the basics!

Thank you so much for the great content. I take all three. I hope in the future you can give some suggestions for those who are plant based. I take an algae based omega 3 - and plan to have my omega check done. D3 needs to be in combination with k2Mk7 so not to get plaque buildup. My magnesium is from bio optimizers - broad base mag and I take mag. L Theronate to cover all the bases. Keep up the great work.

For Omega 3, I use a Krill Oil supplement (180 mg) and eat lots of fish. Salmon at least once a week. Fish oil, and I've used numerous brands, upsets my stomach and makes me burp. Very unpleasant so no longer take it. I take 250 Mg of magnesium daily. 5000 units of D3 daily, plus spend at least 10 in direct sun every day. I live on the Equator, so I get lots of sun. I also take all other suggested supplements, like NMN, Resveratrol, Quercitin, TMG, K2 - 20 supplements daily and that also includes a women's multi. I am 76 and have the numbers of a 20-year-old.

I can't speak to the Omega3 content, but I can tell you from personal experience with chronic hip and knee pain (from flat feet, even using shoe inserts) that I used to take 3 grams of fish oil (1g with each meal) for the inflammation to go down. With Krill, I only need 1 gram in the morning to get the same effect. It does cost more, but since I use less it all evens out in the end! Ciao from Italy! L

One thing I've learned from over 40 years of following HEALTH EXPERTS is they know a lot but not all AND they change their minds. They also disagree with each other so you need to NOT follow only one health expert. Some of the best are not the ones who base their advice only on published studies but their DECADES of knowledge WITH patients.

Thank you!!

Anecdotally....I stopped taking a vegan Omega 3 supplement because of concerns it might be part of triggering atrial fibrillation episodes. There's literature suggesting increased afib episodes in those taking high doses of these supplements. I haven't had any episodes since stopping the supplementation.

Fishoil Omega 3: YES. Fishoil capsules only needs to be kept in the fridge AFTER the container seal has been breached. It doesn't need to be cooled below 5 celcius when the seal has not been broken, although it doesn't hurt so might as well store it in the fridge also in the unopened state. Avoid fatty fish as they contain terrible toxins which cannot be avoided, all fatty fish contains it, so just take the capsules. Depending on country you may need watch out for fake fishoil capsules or fishoil capsules or subpar products or even products that have not been refined properly and is contaminated by toxins. In the EU for example this should usually not be a problem, but outside of EU regulations are not always consumer friendly and it can be very difficult to stay safe. Unfortunately I dont have a good solution to safely buy fish oil outside of the EU.
D-vitamin: YES. You have to avoid the sun due to radiation, so the only viable source of D-vitamin is through pills; other sources of D-vitamin are not great like aforementioned fatty fish, but also eggs, meat, milk and animal fats; you'll have to consume way too much of these products to get enough D vitamin from them. Official recommended daily intake is really low, so my opinion is that that you do need to take a lot more daily than what the DRI says, so at least 35mg per day. Possibly if you go outside in the summer in the sun and you aren't using a strong sun blocker then you may not need to take 35mg D vitamin every day. But on the other hand you probably do need more than 35mg if you have dark skin and/or live in places where the sun never shines (or if you rarely go out in the sun or use strong sun blocker).
Magnesium: NO. You can get by far sufficient amounts of magnesium from vegetables (and nuts). If you need to take magnesium supplements because you are eating too few vegetables..... then you are eating too few vegetables! I know, shocker. So eat more vegetables (from a varied selection).

I literally live closer to the sun at 7000 ft + in elevation. Here, it is so easy for my pale skinned, blue eyed self to burn...really fast! So as for "after 10am" that's got to be highly dependent on where one lives. Plus, my blue eyes must be shielded with sunglasses all times of year, whereas at lower elevations I notice times I don't need to wear them. Long shadows increase in the fall and so there's that to factor in as well. Plus, for those with more melanin, they need longer exposure as I understand it. As of course, melanation is biologically meant to protect from sunburn. (this too is reason for my blue eyed sensitivity, as it's lacking the melanin of darker eyes)And for trace minerals lacking in soil. If you are fortunate enough to be eating vegetables grown in nutrient rich soils, or can grow your own, & eat enough daily then, perhaps K2 supplement might not be required?

Correction, you need both omega 6 as well as 3 as long as you're taking unadulterated parents. Secondly, you need Fulvic and Humic acid complexes for your micromineral needs. Lastly, protein. Your cells are made up of 50% protein and 50% lipid fat. As you age YOU MUST take in protein and exercise or you will develop sarcopenia, skeletal muscle wasting away. Vitamin D is more a hormone than a vitamin. Depending on where you live, during winter months you should take anywhere from 5000iu to 10,000iu. Address these needs and your sleeping habits will get better/stronger. This is a good prescription for what ails you! Good luck!

After Covid Delta nearly killed me in Oct 2021 my doctors put me on two excellent prescriptions.
1. Vascepa Omega 3 EPA 2 Capsules daily
2. Lovaza Omega 3 With EPA and DHA 2 Capsules Daily
So I am getting 4gm Purified Omega 3 Oils Minus Any Contaminants like Mercury. Your Doctor Will Write You A Prescription If You Ask. They Have Helped Alot With Inflammation In My Body, And Insurance Covers Both.

three vital supplements are not enough. i would definitely add hydrolyzed collagen protein which is the building block for connective tissue which is found in various forms virtually everywhere in the body. it's like supporting the basic infrastructure of your body's various systems.

Cold pressed flaxseed/linseed oil has lots of omega3. The best quality is the one you buy in a dark glass bottle, stored in the fridge for up to 3 months. It's nature food, not a processed supplement and no issues that you get from fish oil.

My test is to buy some pure magnesium oil spray and rub it on your arm if it’s tingly burning and stinging you’re deficient if it feels OK you’re not. I take baths regularly with magnesium which is called Epsom salt and I also take magnesium regularly before I did this I had the stinging problem I no longer have the stinging problem even if I miss a few days of my regular dosage which I do not because it does help to manage stress quite well

I'm on carnivore diet so:
1. omega 3, I have the right balance. It only helps because the standard diet has inedible oils.
2. I supplement mag
3. D... I also have MS and low D is blamed, but people aren't sure if D is the issue.

Chocolate tastes like mg but the mg in chocolate is not actually accessible due to being bound in a large molecule not digestible by human stomach acid.
I used to be a major chocoholic and managed to cure myself with magnesium stearate pills. I felt I had to because I was tired of all the sugar and daily expenditure. Whenever I have a craving now, which is exceedingly rare, I just take one pill and place it on my tongue and the craving goes away pretty quickly, and swallowing the pill will eliminate any cravings for months. Afterwards, I can smell chocolate and be around chocolate without having any desire to eat it. I can appreciate that It exists without any of the irritating addictive qualities.

🎉Big hack that is way better feeling than it is to do (fish oil is highly suspect of poor quality... do this instead)
1. Buy organic ground flaxseed at Walmart in baking section.
2. Put a large mouthful of very cold water in glass.
3. Add 2-3 Tablespoons of flax.
4. Stir quickly and chug it...
5. Chase it with more cold water.
Every single day!
You'll start waking up feeling younger within a week (2 days for me... I'm 65 next month)
You're welcome ❤

I’ve found Beej Mantra chanting or jaap meditation to be beneficial to my health. I start my day with mantra chanting and find that it gives me the energy and positive vibes that prepare me for any stressful day. The important thing is to first choose a God or Goddess that you believe in and revere and then, chant their Beej Mantra daily early in the morn’ between 4 - 6 AM. Chant at least 11 malas (or more if possible). Mantra jaap creates Pranic or Chi energy field that protects you from untimely death (akal mrityu), enemies, misfortunes, etc.
Here’s Maa Kali Mantra:

14:30 as we age our skin drastically slows in ots ability produce Vit D from the sun. 40 nmol/L is FAR too low, which is why someone with levels that low WILL get sick on a regular basis. 70 nmol/L is a good level to go above. It's not easy even with significant supplementation of D, to get above 70.

Shame on them for not recommending algae oil capsules for omega 3. Almost all fish oils are rancid by the time the consumer buys it. Fish obtain omega 3 from algae, which is a clean source.

I spend at least two hours in the sun a day. I live in a mountain range and so, I get my sun, after 10 a m and before 3 p m, at 3000 feet above sea level. I am a photographer, so when the sun is good for photos, (Long shadows), then it is not activating my D³!!! Also; 8 hours of deep sleep when it is dark, and 5,000 steps a day, plus 1 hour of exercise. And then the vitamins will go where the body needs them.

i am confused. k2's mk4 is more absorbable other say.
For every 10,000 of D3 one has to take 100mcg of k2 and if k2 lasts for 3 days then take within the 3 days 30,000 d3 and only 100mcg of k2 mk7? Or maybe better to take 300mcg of mk7
While others say to not take d daily.
Also any link to the spread sheet?

At 14:26 it's shown: blood test target 40 - 70 nmol/l.
That's wrong! It's deficit range!
The target range should be 40 -60 ng/ml.
Notice the units!
To convert from ng/ml to mmol/ l, multiply by 2,5.
So 100 - 150 mmol/ l would be the correct value.
I guess that Ramon simply wrote the wrong units. Since his minimum supplemen of 4000 IU is about right.
I supplement with 5000 IU, and wouldn't go higher than 10000 IU without special reasons.
And, of course, also with magnesium and vitamin K2.
As Cris Masterjohn said long ago. Vitamin A, D, and K2 work together. And magnesium is needed for vitamin D to work properly, and for other things, like DNA repair.

People with enough money to supplement have enough money to see a doc more often and people who are health concious enough to seek supplemental health benefits tend to take care of their overall fitness a little better.
Hand these folks a slightly irregular noble pooolitzher.

Nothing like a few young people telling us how to live a long time.
How about getting some old people who have actually done it to tell us?
I'd like to know how much fish oil, magnesium and Vitamin D3 they took all their lives.

Just employ a moderate eating habit eat healthily, meaning lots of fresh fruits, vegetables and the occasional amounts of lean meat. Stay away from junk. Nobody lives forever, so try not to succumb to the hustlers like these who are legion and whose main mission is to move your hard-earned money into their pockets. No criticism meant, mostly (heh), juuuust sayin'....

No fish is healthy! No animals humans breed for food when it comes to animals! The truth is that everything in the sea is as dirty as everything else.
The only thing that is important for people in rhe world is to joke their self.
If people should eat and give everyone at YouTube klicks or buy their stuff the world should not make it, why?
Because of the less of workers!
We have find, we knows about that and that but not one belives in ones self, it is tragic, only!
To se and listen to so much of different advice are very bad because 99% of the whole shit is made to make money, nothing else!
If this video should been in the small amount how talk truth you should not have omega from fish.
I can't understand why your video pick my eyes, not interested at all.
So good was youtube to try to give me what I want to se or listen to.
It is bad I must say!

I like 7.Niacin the most...keeping honest over the NMN fad that Dr.Stanfield recently summarized the results that it didn't increase NAD in muscles.
Dr.Michael Lustgarten's data are always trustable and useful. This man deserves Nobel Prize in Health, if there's one given.

There are many clinical studies you reference citing the benefits of individual supplements, but none where all you recommend in the suggested dosages are taken together. I would love to see a clinical study on the health/longevity of mice jammed packed with your daily protocol.

Great content as usual!! What do you think of NICOTINAMIDE?? Products such us Nuchido TIME+ uses Nicotinamide instead of Niacin. They say "NAD+ cannot be obtained from our diet. It must be made within our cells. Nicotinamide (a form of niacin) is one of the raw materials that the body uses to make NAD+. It is sometimes referred to as an “NAD+ precursor”. Nuchido TIME+ contains nicotinamide to give our cells an adequate supply of the raw material they need to manufacture NAD+. Added benefits. Some forms of niacin (such as nicotinic acid) cause a “flushing” reaction. Nicotinamide does not cause this reaction.

niacin is a very good choice and I believe the liver changes niacin to niacin riboside which is an easy way to optimize it's use.

I never had eye floaters in my life.. I started taking a larger dose Benfotiamine then had a sudden large floaters... coincidence perhaps, but I stopped taking it.. I am in my early 60s. Careful with supplements, there is always a push pull... helps in one area & perhaps harming in another. Stick to food as much as possible

What about taurine? It’s been the biggest thing in the news for the last several months in longevity, and it wasn’t even mentioned here. For that matter, what about calcium alpha ketoglutarate? Just curious, not criticizing.

I don't know if Niacin 'fools' the liver to not produce VLDL (to carry out triglycerides to the blood) is a good thing. Triglycerides just accumulte in the liver as fats...not good.
Same mechanism with fenefibrates, triglyceride-lowering drug...like Gemfibrozil.

Pleses balance you interaction with this person you've added to your Youtube, He either repeats what you've just said or interrupts you and it is very very distracting and disrespeful. He needs to understand how to listen as we the audience are listening and then ask questions. I don't see his purpose in your video that was so engaging in the first place without this extra person. Please please consider these suggestions. I have gone away from your channel because of it.

There’s a much better benefit if you just do straight talk and one person talk at a time bring the point across then if they were questions deal with them one by one, I don’t know it just sounded very confusing it was a very frenetic pace , Almost annoying

The surest way to increase your longevity is to control a critical mechanism called mTOR.
This mechanism is very responsive to how much protein you eat.
Eating the right amount of protein will give you both longevity and a healthy muscle mass.
But eating too much protein, will “wake up” mTOR and increase your aging.
So the amount of daily protein matters… and it has to be correct.
So how much protein do you need?
Today, we’ll calculate how much protein exactly your body needs so you’ll avoid accelerated aging,
yet still, nourish your body and keep your strong muscles intact.

I can't believe what I have just watched, but honestly, now I know why I cannot seem to get by blood glucose under 6.0mmol/l or 108mg/dl as a diabetic even when I have hardly any carbs. I have been consuming far too much protein! Thank you so much, Rimon. I am so glad I found your channel and I pray it continues to grow. I also hope your wife continues to make good progress as she recovers. All the best.

Great video rimon. Learned a lot from this. On OMAD 6/7 days, plus work outs 6/7, I have the opposite of most: I have doubts if I even reach the base threshold, let alone the added exercise %%. But I feel great and muscles growing.

Does this mean, gaining muscle is opposite with longevity ? Or kind of a compensate relation. I mean, the bigger muscle you want to gain, the shorter livespan. But i still believe, muscle mass is a support factor for longevity. So there maybe a way, or strategy of diet, rest, exercise, to be a muscular person and live a long healthy life. Thank you !

And by the way, i have a hypothesis regarding animal vs plant protein digestion. Its a common knowledge that animal protein is easier to digest and absorb, compared to plants. But could it be because most of the research uses animal eater as a participant or subject ? Is it possible that a long term vegan have different composition of gut microbiome so they can digest and absorb plant protein better than us ?

When you eat protein, your mTor is raised, if your insulin is low then the effect is momentary and MTor quickly goes down. MTor is more affected by high insulin then protein eating, if your insulin is high then mTor stays up longer. Therefore its absolutely fine to eat protein, but most importantly keep your insulin low by avoiding Starchy Refined carbs+exercise and you should have no problems. Professor Ben Bikman explains further.

I kind of doubt about the 'more protein, more aging' equation. Let's look at Europe (I'm italian). Surely, in Italy, greece, spain, portugal, people eat less proteins (for whatever reason) than in northern countries (france, germany, but also scandinavia, UK, etc). Now, simply put, the lifespan in certain nordic countries (e.g. France) is EQUAL OR HIGHER than in southern countries.
(it is true that, for instance, healthcare in not very good in southern italy, but for instance in portugal it's great...)

What if you do alternate day fasting? Do I eat double the normal amount on the eating days to make up for the day I didn’t eat anything? So maybe 130grams of protein on my eating days. Or do I just keep it around 50-60 on the eating days? Yes I do lift weights a few times per week.

Wow, thanks Rimon, for this video, was waiting for It, really helped me but can you tell me how to combine fasting, build healthy muscles, I don't want to be a body builder, but wanna shape my body and look not skinny but healthy body size, like sports man, I'm looking forward to follow what david sinclair doing, fasting for 16 hours means 8 hour eating window means 1st meal at 10 am and next at 6pm, But I'm already skinny, so I don't wanna worsen my body by not getting enough nurtition, please enlighten a little bit, how to maintain my muscles and fasting.
If you will tell me when and how to shutdown mtor and when It Is not overloaded In this fasting and exercise period.

50 60? That is like one meal. If you really serious about your training and have lot of muscle or just train alot no matter what sport you need more than this for sure. A very active guy need more than a guy playing video games all day for example. Protein intake = What kind of life style you have.

I have been combining these & it has been working for me. I have an early breakfast & my last meal before midday, then nothing until breakfast again. After my lunch I go to the gym (every second or 3rd day, & sometimes sauna). This combined with MNM & rosviritol every 2nd or third day has been the magic bullet for me. I’m 57 & feel fantastic, better than when I was in my 20s. Love your videos 🫶

Well put. I was experimenting with dry fasting and did a bike ride and got dehydrated. I never felt closer to death. I won't do that again. When you exercise while fasted long low intensity cardio will put you into ketosis much faster. It's also good for when you feel hungry to generate ketones. But intense prolonged exercise while fasting will definitely burn muscle so you don't want that. Something like easy bike riding or walking is what you want during an extended fast in my opinion. Then work out with weights right before breaking the fast. And while my elderly father would probably benefit from fasting it is probably too much stress for him.

I fast 3 days a week (10 years of IF so far!). I do cardio on fasting days and resistance training on eating days. So far so good; while my cardio is only 3 to 6 miles of running, it doesn't seem to make it the fasting any harder. It's a matter of getting used to it, I guess.

Hi! I always exercise fasted. I am fat adapted, so when I exercise fasted I use fat and ketones as fuel and do not feel hungry or weak. It gives me enormous high energy. Fasting for 22 hours and play 3 hours of tennis is no problem. Then, after the exercise, I eat a good amount of protein and fat to refeed and rebuild. Ketones protect against burning muscle during the fast and ketones promote health and longevity.

I'd take fasting over exercise any day of the week. I just can't get motivated to exercise when it's so cold. I'm doing the fasting mimicking diet after Christmas to counter act all the mince pies, but you can't beat a proper fast. Ultimately it comes down to what's realistically going to fit in with your lifestyle and goals but I'm happy to hear that fasting can compete with exercise. I like the mood boost you get from exercise but no amount of data would make me go out in this weather. I hope your wife is still progressing well.

I eat one meal a day , Lunch, no breakfast or supper, was doing the trendmill, and walking a lot , i lost like 40 pds , was never fat, i trimmed down, ive cycled back up a bit , this year , gaining back like 15 of that, then got strict , went back , down to close to what i did , also i notice , but you have to be careful , is trying the low calorie eating to , another words fast , or what i call ITM fasting with like 500 to 600 calories a day, difficult , but you get used to it, the longest ive gone was 45 days straight if ITM fasting with 25 straight days of 450 to under 600 calories a day, but again, you should cycle on these routines , and even go back to regular eating , and cycle on the exercising , but thats for me, everybodys body is diferent repsonse and what feels right , ive done full fasting also , i like the ITM fasting better with low calories

The woman in France that is still the longest living person at 122. As far as we know never fasted nor did very strenuous exercise. Also most of the oldest people that I have seen reports on, lived a moderate life style with not too much stress and although diets varied, none of them were pretend vegans. It appears that they all tended to get plenty of sleep and none of them worked the night shift. Also none of them took exotic nutritional enhancements but just ate real un processed food.

Can you make a video if intermittent fasting can lead to diabetes II? Ana Bonassa comments, “This is the first study to show that, despite weight loss, intermittent fasting diets
may actually damage the pancreas and affect insulin function in normal healthy individuals, which could
lead to diabetes and serious health issues.”

Is there any scientific understanding of how the gut biome responds to extended fasts?
My functional medicine doctor encourages me to continue IF. However, she has cautioned me against fasting for multiple days. Her logic is that we are working hard to rejuvenate my gut biome. All those little bugs in that belly need food. If I starve them I may be undoing all the effort to rebuild my biome. My impression is that maybe autophagy is just not one of the tenants of her practice.
I’d really like to trigger serious autophagy. But she’s introduced some doubt for me.

How about near infrared light therapy? Maybe you can report on photobiomodulation since it is claimed to energize the mitochondria and so induce mitophagy and produce benefits remote from the point of application.

When you say fasting, do you mean an intermittent fasting or a complete day off fasting? I have been doing intermittent fasting of 14-16 hours over the past 5-6 months, does that trigger autophagy??

You are your own best health advocate.
Eat a healthy whole food plant based diet, reduce stress, get adequate sleep and exercise regularly.
Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. You will be healthier, happier and have lower transportation and health care expenses. Make a bicycle your first choice for short distance travel.
