Earth formed as part of the birth of the solar system: what eventually became the solar system initially existed as a large, rotating cloud of dust and gas. It was composed of hydrogen and helium produced in the Big Bang, as well as heavier elements produced by stars long gone. The history of Earth concerns the development of planet Earth from its formation to the present day.[1][2] Nearly all branches of natural science have contributed to understanding of the main events of Earth's past, characterized by constant geological change and biological evolution. The geological time scale (GTS), as defined by international convention,[3] depicts the large spans of time from the beginning of the Earth to the present, and its divisions chronicle some definitive events of Earth history. (In the graphic: Ga means "billion years ago"; Ma, "million years ago".) Earth formed around 4.54 billion years ago, approximately one-third the age of the universe, by accretion from the solar nebula.[4][5][6] Volcanic outgassing probably created the primordial atmosphere and then the ocean, but the early atmosphere contained almost no oxygen. Much of the Earth was molten because of frequent collisions with other bodies which led to extreme volcanism. While the Earth was in its earliest stage (Early Earth), a giant impact collision with a planet-sized body named Theia is thought to have formed the Moon. Over time, the Earth cooled, causing the formation of a solid crust, and allowing liquid water on the surface. photosynthetic organism appeared between 3.2 and 2.4 billion years ago and began enriching the atmosphere with oxygen. Life remained mostly small and microscopic until about 580 million years ago, when complex multicellular life arose, developed over time, and culminated in the Cambrian Explosion about 541 million years ago. This sudden diversification of life forms produced most of the major phyla known today, and divided the Proterozoic Eon from the Cambrian Period of the Paleozoic Era. How incredibly prophetic is that early statement now. I have never seen such a wonderfully comprehensive documentary of the Life Of Earth. I hope this is noticed by schools, colleges and universities all over the World and used for elementary education of our planet. Proof that climatic, chemical and physical changes were absolutely necessary for life to eventually begin and develop. It is as if the Earth knew it needed to keep going through extinctions and fresh beginnings to practice and get it right....... dubious use of "get it right" ! The big bang and carbon and radiometric dating all have major flaws that science cannot explain. First off, the scientific methods are solid, but the assumptions made to find the calendar-year-projections are the problem. And, they cause massive problems that are taught in schools and to the public in general. Let's dig in... If the entire universe came from 1, infinitely-small point of static mass, where that mass supposedly equaled the entire mass of all of our universe's contents, but without the passing of time or speed in movement (no space-time continuum), what outside force caused the chemical reaction to then make the bang that then set everything, the collective body of all 118-element-based fragments, in motion? The answer is: their is no scientific answer and it is impossible to find one. To find a scientific answer would mean endlessly-searching for the first cause to the first reaction, where none of science's best guesses were ever observed: there is no scientific method employed here on this subject matter. We should realize that out of the gate. This immediately sets-up scientists to land on an uncertain conclusion. My friends, the Bible has the answer: God created everything out of nothing: a divine and gracious miracle that is much larger than science or physics and what our minds can ever understand. When talking about carbon dating, to start, it is based on the unknown age of a space rock. Nobody knew how old the rock was, so an arbitrary age was assigned to it, that has then falsely sub-assigned all other ages from it. Radiometric dating also makes a lot of assumptions that have scientifically-proven to be incorrect, using the observation method. With these dating methods above, scientists have had to assume that decay rates have remained constant over time, when what we actually have observed has not been constant. Even the smallest amount of change causes the year-extrapolation to be off millions of years. We cannot observe decay rates over thousands of years, let alone millions. Even our historical record of observable science only goes back a couple thousand years: isn't that interesting, only a couple thousand years... Both dating methods have incorrectly dated trees, where we have known their ages, saying one was millions of years old and another was hundreds of thousands of years old, when both were hundreds. These methods were way off, yet these are the methods the world applies to be factual. This is highly misleading and it attempts to discredit the Bible and ultimately our belief in God. The infusion of argon in various natural occurring processes throw-off the scientific methods. As well, we know when Mt. St. Helen's erupted a few decades ago, yet these dating methods said the newly-formed rocks there were millions of years old. The fact alone that they each produce vastly different age ranges, of millions of years difference, on the same items, is incredibly disturbing and unstable. Unfortunately, today's school text books will not tell us about those very real cases. Hopefully, this little write-up will cause you to dive deeper into what I'm presenting here. Our kids need to know this too, sooner than later. Let's look at what we really know to be true: 1) Severely burned soil from large burn sites put large amounts of Carbon-14 in our atmosphere. These deposits change our atmospheric conditions, which directly and greatly-affect the scientific dating methods' accuracy. 2) Atomic detonations have doubled the amount of C14 in the atmosphere. 3) Volcanos inject C14 into the atmosphere hundreds of miles around it. 4) Every forest fire that has ever happened, industrial pollution, carbon reservoires, solar flares, changes in atmospheric pressures, and fluctuations in the earth’s magnetic field, all do as well. 5) The decay rate of associated isotopes have to be assumed to be constant over all time periods and over all atmospheric conditional changes. 6) Know that a sea-going seal, that had recently died, was dated to be 1,300-yrs-old, using these methods. 7) 38 leading labs around the world were given the same the samples of artifacts with known, very young ages, yet only 7 were somewhat close in their date estimates. So, 82%, the vast majority, of the labs were off by thousands of years, when they should be only years off. 8) In the 1980's, there were scientific test showing elements of over 500 items that were all said to be millions of years old had C14 in them. 9) The half life decay rate of C14 is only a few thousand years, so anything much more than that should have zero carbon-14 measured. So, there should be absolutely nothing then dated to be hundreds of thousands of years old, let alone millions or billions of years of old, by these methods. This is a major and critical, fundamental flaw in their set of assumptions that needs to be known and taught worldwide. 10) Coal, diamonds, and dinosaur bones, all said to be millions of years old, are always found to have lots of C14 in them. Explain how this can be, knowing the half life of C14. 11) We don't know the initial atmospheric conditions or what inbetween conditions were, we do not know if the decay rate has remained uniform or if there were any changes midway through that occured, we don't know the initial element makeup versus what we measure today in any of these older items, and we cannot recreate any of their historic, conditional experiences. We can observe and test known ages of young items, but then we see that these methods fail, using the same set of assumptions that scientists have made, that leads them to project millions and billions of years. Friends, the Bible gives the lineage from Jesus' parents, all the way back to Adam and Eve. That is acurrate to within about 75 yrs (45 to 100 yrs, depending on what assumptions are made there), since some ages were not given. That overall age is around 6,150 yrs today, when adding 2,021 years to the lineage-timeline given in the Bible we all have available to us. It is very accurate, even with the assumptions made, and does not have a plus/minus of 50 million years, like the scientific methods admit to. The Bible gives us enough information to be within mere decades of its written record. You see, the Bible has the correct answers that science cannot prove wrong, even with all of today's amazing, technological advancements. Yet, much of the world still believes in mankind's best, remarkably-flawed guess, not the true Word of God. I find it amazing how 40 authors, more than 2,000 yrs ago, over a 900-yr-period, wrote the God-inspired masterpiece of the Bible that is so complex and deep and revealing -- with no internet, email, text, phones, cars, no library of scientific textbooks at their fingertips, no PhD's.. yet it all works flawlessly together. That cannot be explained, other than accepting that God worked through them to write it. How can one explain the spiritual moments that confirm and reveal things that match the Bible and make us feel the deepest love we've ever felt, that is unique to only following the Lord? Science cannot explain consciousness and cannot create life from scratch, let alone a matching male and female pair that reproduces offspring that are healthy, where they then repeat the same process effectively for thousands of years. Science cannot do that, let alone explain it, let alone all the other kinds of life we also have on this earth: animals, fish, birds, trees, plants, insects... God's creation is beyond magnificent! ...The atmosphere, the perfect placement of our planet with the sun and balancing moon. Wow, selah. ...All the miracles that happen that have been documented in hospitals that science cannot make sense of, people having cancer and then it just completely disappearing after prayer groups prayed and fervantly sought the Lord with their heart. God is very real and acting in lives, all around the world. He has been experienced. This goes beyond the writing of the Bible and is equally a part of this discussion. As well, our bodies lose information at the sub-level, they never add information, like Darwinism says. We have never even witnessed or observed a new kind (kind, not species: not a variation of a finch bird, but a new creature all together) of life form come into existence through evolution in our recorded, historical accounts. This is another issue that by applying the scientific, observable method, we cannot stand on to be factual. The science books have been changing, not the Bible. I have a Bible that is unchanged, since 1611. Science books have certainly changed in the last 410 yrs. God has already given us the truth. Our mortal lives will end one done day. Why would anyone ever choose against God, Who will put us in Heaven or Hell? That is the worst, most unwise decision anyone could ever make. God invites us all to Heaven. Only He can save us from Hell and death. May God bless you as you seek and obey Him.
