Don’t ask me how I am feeling, unless you’re prepared to get the same answer day in and day out. I feel great!
We are continually reminded how unhealthy we are as a nation ─ we pay more for health and get less of it than any nation on earth. Our health is at the bottom of the list of industrialized nations. We struggle with everything from chronic diseases like cancer and heart disease to unhealthy conditions such as obesity and high blood pressure. Yet I feel just fine every day.
The fact that I don’t get sick befuddles a lot of people. The irony is that there’s nothing special about me. Anyone can live the same way I live, if they simply shift their point of view on the concepts of health and disease.
My model of health is that there is really only one disease ─ cellular malfunction. No matter what medical conditions may afflict people, it can all be traced back to the way our cells are created, live and die.
Cells are the building blocks of life. Our entire body and all of our organs are comprised of cells of many different types. Healthy cells make a healthy body, but cells that are deficient or toxic cause disease. Our bodies were never meant to ingest nutritionally deficient processed foods, environmental toxins, and the so many different medications and pharmaceuticals that we are deluged with. The things we do in our lives, our poor nutrition, our lifestyles ─ they are the culprits that make our cells malfunction. It only stands to reason that by changing those elements of our lives for the better that we can purge sickness from our lives. It really is that simple.
Unless you have a true genetic disease, there is no compelling reason for anyone to be sick. The human body is a self-regulating, self-repairing system. It is designed to keep you healthy. Part of the problem is we have a system of medicine that has little basis in science, causes enormous amounts of disease, and has become our leading cause of death. This obsolete dysfunctional system needs to be replaced with something better. We need to realize that health is a choice, and to be healthy is a duty we have to ourselves, our loved ones, and our community at large. Educate yourself on how to get well and stay well, and you can kiss your doctor goodbye. If you have not read my book The Great American Health Hoax, this would be a good place to start your education.
