Dr. Colon Recent Paper: A systems-approach to NAD+ restoration https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... Dr Nichola Conlon is a molecular biologist specialising in the study of cellular ageing. After a career in drug development with a leading biotech firm, Dr Nichola founded Nuchido Laboratories driven by her belief that cutting-edge science should not lie hidden. Dr Nichola is on a mission to democratise science and is an expert in cellular health, with particular focus on the science of ageing well, helping people to reverse their biological age and improve their healthspan. Dr Nichola’s work to translate recent scientific discoveries into interventions to increase healthspan and vitality recognizes that while great progress has been made in treating age-related ailments, the focus now must be placed on reducing the burden of these diseases as we live longer lives. Along with leading scientists at Nuchido, Dr Conlon has identified the optimum combination of targets to restore cellular NAD+ production back to youthful levels, leading to the development of a breakthrough NAD+ booster called Nuchido TIME+. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= Restore Our Cells Ability To Make NAD Like When We Were Young - Nuchido Time+ Supplement https://www.nuchido.com/REVERSEAGING FIRST ORDER 20% OFF Discount Code when checkout : REVERSEAGING20 ~*~ DoNotAge Supplements ~*~ 10% OFF Discount Code : REVERSE https://donotage.org/products/ Pure Apigenin 500mg Caps https://donotage.org/product/pure-api... Yamanaka factors, too! Some of the many benefits of doing occasional extended fasting: Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body. High blood pressure is lowered to normal levels very quickly while fasting. Fribrosis/scarring is reversed over time. Fasting increases nitric oxide release. Vitamin D plasma levels are increased as fasting improves metabolic health, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy. Telomeres are lengthend and fasting also increases anti-aging Yamanaka factors. Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system. It will also remove any 'foreign material' that is not supposed to be there. Reflexes and short term memory are increased. Fasts from 36-96 h actually INCREASE metabolic rate due to norepinephrine release! Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system. The thymus also plays a vital role in fighting cancer. Weight loss from daily caloric restriction has 1/4 to 1/3 of the weight lost as lean tissue while many studies show fat loss from 36 h fasts without losing any lean tissue! The hunger hormone ghrelin also lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting. Blood sugar and insulin are lowered, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job. Ideal blood sugar is around 80. Some viruses activate glycolosis (the release of sugar in the body) and clinically it has been shown that decreasing glucose metabolism in the body weakens the influenza virus. When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell which are used to produce organelles and proteins. This means the mechanisms needed by viruses to replicate are by and large unavailable when you are in a deeply fasted state. What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast, though if the amount is tiny you will go back into ketosis very quickly. Most teas and herbs are OK. Most supplements and meds will either break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many medications are dangerous to take while fasting so you may have to talk to your dr. about discontinuing them during a fast. Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone. Fasting also increases insulin sensitivity, which helps with muscle building. Fasts of 36-96 will not affect short term female fertility or affect menstrual cycle. They also may increase long term fertility, especially in women with PCOS. The hormone Leptin is an immunomodulator that keeps the body from attacking itself and obesity causes leptin resistance. Fasting very quickly reduces leptin resistance and leptin levels and one day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again! Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No, except for brief periods of very intense exercise, your body mainly burns fats in the form of free fatty acids. Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose. Deep ketosis virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body. This can offset the life threatening symptoms of viral pneumonia which effectively kills you through inflammation. This also creates BHB ketones in your body, which help your immune system and anti-oxidative system, especially in the brain. When not in ketosis, the brain can only burn carbohydrate, which produces a great deal of damaging ROS the brain has to deal with. It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency and thereby making cells better able to fight off infection. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism and cancer prevention! When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells, which destroys them. Senescent cells are responsible for many of the effects of aging and are a root cause of the development of cancer. Fasting also releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth. This can help a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers. In fact, the biochemical regulator of BDNF production is beta-hydroxybutyrate, which is the same ketone the body produces to nourish the brain while fasting. Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level. A fasting mimicking diet for 3-5 days in a row also provides many of the same benefits as water fasting. FMD usually has 200-800 calories, under 18 g of protein and extremely low carbs. Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia. Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. Those with Addison's disease may also be unable to fast without liberal use of exogenous ketones, depending on severity. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness then simply break the fast and seek advice. These are both precursors to NAD. If these are naturally occurring, they should remain as supplements. If David Sinclair wants to market his crystallized form of NMN as a drug, that should remain a separate issue. People will not be able to access something like this if it is prescription-based, and be able to enhance their own health. 20 Reply 2 replies @jpintero6330 1 year ago There is 140mg/100g apigenin (fresh weight) in parsley juice. CD38 is an important part of the immune system and perhaps it needs more NAD to function or be added for a NECESSARY immune response, particular in older individuals who have an involuted thymus and therefore fewer T cells, each of which may need more CD38 to be placed on it's cell membrane. 1 Reply 3 replies @oleeb 1 year ago Pretty expensive product. Now, those are words even non-scientists should refrain from using. A few years back we'd say, "efficient cellular respiration, simply doesn't work as well with age", which led to sketching the importance of NAD in age reversal. "Diminishing NAD salvage pathway", should be the answerable issue. Otherwise, desperately pumping the freshest air in a flat tire, simply may not work. Instead, looking into how the original blocks - which do create life - could be ad infinitum optimized, might offer a clue. Answer hovers over "not destroying", and "creating". Be happy. 9 Reply 2 replies @mikelance7175 1 year ago Does anyone else get blurry vision from taking nmn? 3 Reply 2 replies @samanthaporter6662 1 year ago Does NADH help? While not doubting the efficacy of this combination, I can't see how it addresses the route causes. After all, we don't need these supplements when we're younger. Wouldn't addressing the route causes mean improving the health and increasing the number of mitochondria, where the Krebs cycle takes place, and reducing the number of CD38 excreting cells, if there are too many of them? Ginger, for example, has been shown to increase mitochondrial size and mitochondrial biogenesis and can be purchased very cheaply and conveniently as ground ginger. Ashwagandha has also been shown to improve mitochondrial health and function. 1 Reply 1 reply @cybair9341 1 year ago Your'e going to get RICH !!! 4 Reply 1 reply @semaaral2498 7 months ago I meant ALA R form Reply @pangeaproxima3681 1 year ago Who taught the cells to recycle NAD?
