I am baffled at the manner in which educated people by every story that comes out. Metformin, injected chemicals in your face and many other things like collegen used by many will surly make one appear younger! When will the pills be on the market I wonder?

This does not seem healthy to me. What he eats is healthy but how can you get enough nutrients and calories? I eat organic only , 97 pounds. Just lost weight do to stomach problems. I can’t believe it. Is it IBS, sibo, gastritis, candida no doctor has helped me yet after months. Wait a minute don’t most vitamins have magnesium stearate in them. That is not good. You just can’t live on supplements. Also they are very costly. He has some good ideas but I think that is too many supplements. ️

I keep a journal of everything I eat and every vitamin and supplement I take. I have been doing this since 1990.
Doing this has helped me identify what works and what don't. It has paid off big time. I am 74, feel great and running around like a little kid.
I highly recommend keeping a journal to log your progress to better health.

Man has achieved so much that an assessment is imposing itself:
aging violates human dignity and unnecessarily interrupts the activities of many creative people: scientists, artists, doctors and many, many others.

It's vain and delusional to believe that aging is optional. You can age well or you can age poorly. You can increase your life span and you can increase your health span. But eventually we all decay and die. Making peace with that and preparing yourself spiritually is way more conducive to authentic happiness than chasing the elusive eternal youth.

I have begun to reverse my damage from bad life choices when I was young. I am only 28 but since starting to take my health and aging seriously. I am feeling like I did energy wise when was 15. I have a lot of epigenetic issues that have been fixed i think. My skin looks better, my endurance is better, my brain inflammation has calmed down and my anxiety and depression are in remission for the first time. These ideas work. It's not nonsense. I am skeptical of health trends but this one has worked.

I wish i learnt most of these principles about seven years ago. A lot of people have been trapped strongly in the matrix-- Go to school, get a job, and then slave your whole life. Many miss out on life-changing information that could have great effect on their finances. I played with the stock market sometime in 2020, and I was surprised at how well it turned out. I want to put in $90k more into the market. I heard people are making really great returns despite the downturn. Any recommendations?

My grandfather lived from 1897-1997. When asked how he was doing he skyways said, “ I’m doing 100”. On his 100th birthday he quipped, “ I should have said 103, I could have lived in three centuries”. Not knowing he only had 1 month, 4 days remaining.

I used to think every investor went broke during recessions, meanwhile some make millions. I also thought everybody went out of business during the Great Depression, but some went into business. Bottom line, there's always depression for some, and profit for others, it all starts from having the right mindset. That said, I've set asides $150k to invest for future, unfortunately l'm a complete noob.

His facial expressions and answers to NMN being taken off the market is concerning... The FDA should take it off the market because a biotech company is starting a clinical trial? Wtf? So if a company wants to do a clinical trial on fish oil it should be taken off the market? Makes no sense other the corruption. David Sinclair has been a huge inspiration to me but I still don't trust his answers in this.

I lost a friend (not as in dying but as in ending the friendship) who got extremely angry when I posted a link to David's book. I said simply that it does appear that age reversal will become possible in the future. He's a professor of biology at a major university and said it's sad that people are falling for this "con-artist." We got into a debate in which he was very condescending. This also sometimes happens in regard to Ray Kurzweil's predictions about nanomedicine keeping us healthy beginning in the 2030s. Unfortunately, there's going to be a great many people resisting the immense changes coming in the next couple of decades.

Honestly, if I may say to you, the preoccupation and obsession with being young looking and fitting into a narrative that, is the ultimate goal to compete in society, that you are measured only by your performance and achieved success by the expectations of defining youth.
Yes we can attain desirability and the realm of only what is desired by a young placement of our life, and look the part, act in such ways that appeal to a younger body and mindset. I notice there's an element in your striving that the eye sees that looks frozen and unable to adapt. That acceptance lies in not only needing to look younger but a fascination to acquire at any cost. Mind you, I take very excellent care of myself, I don't look my age but it would be so wonderful to see you in a relaxed state, with all due respect, and honor yourself as a Man. Not a boy in his youthfulness.
Thank you for what you contribute.

Damn, I remember asking my father if he was afraid of dying when he must have been younger than I am now, and to me at that age he was god, he never lies, he is old so if he is not scared of death then that's how people feel at that age. I now know that he was lying to comfort me because 30 years on he is worried about dying as I am and everyone else is. If Sinclairs gran was already putting the fear of death and mortality into him at that age, I can see why it's such a passion of his. I'm not saying his gran was wrong because she was being honest. Just like being told santa clause is not real, it may seem cruel to tell someone at a young age, but it's the truth.... David's truth he learned at a young age set him on his path and I for one am already grateful and benefit from his discoveries. Good on David's gran.

I’ve found Beej Mantra chanting or jaap meditation to be beneficial to my health. I start my day with mantra chanting and find that it gives me the energy and positive vibes that prepare me for any stressful day. The important thing is to first choose a God or Goddess that you believe in and revere and then, chant their Beej Mantra daily early in the morn’ between 4 - 6 AM. Chant at least 11 malas (or more if possible). Mantra jaap creates Pranic or Chi energy field that protects you from untimely death (akal mrityu), enemies, misfortunes, etc.
Here’s Maa Kali Mantra:

David Sinclair's passion for the science of longevity is truly inspiring! His dedication to understanding the complex processes of aging and his ability to explain them so clearly in his speeches are remarkable. I'm curious, though – what do you think is the most promising avenue for achieving widespread accessibility to these groundbreaking age-reversal technologies? How can we ensure that these advancements benefit everyone, regardless of their socioeconomic status?

I think we all can slow the aging process down. Even Daniel in the Bible proved a plant based diet prolonged your life. We owe it to ourselves, our families, and mankind to try and maintain our bodies. This just proves we all could live longer and be in superior health.

It's not optional for most people. The costs of the supplements and a number of other extenuating factors will prevent this reality for the general population. Let's just help people be more healthy as they age. The costs of healthcare for the elderly are astronomical.

@peterdiamandis Have you considered interviewing Bryan Johnson about his Blueprint protocol? As far as I know, he has the world's best anti-aging program, fueled by massive bodily data collection and analysis, spending $2M per year to biologically become 18 again (he's in his 40s). His program is to measure all relevant parameters for every organ in his body, and to let the data determine what he needs to do to optimize the health and longevity of every organ. I believe you and your audience would find that extremely interesting!

Ive been taught to trust my gut. I honestly do believe hes trying his best and yes, it's not something thats going to happen overnight ,however diet ,exercise, and reducing sugar, intermittent fasting is so important. I lost covid weight on keto. I then began eating 1 meal a day, including different microbes for my gut. I know uric acid should be below 5.5. And animals have fat switches ,that they can turn on and off. Our bodies are capable of much more.

Dr. Sinclair refuses to debate scientists who state sirtuins are not conserved longevity genes. He should welcome the challenges if he has evidence for support. The following is one case.
"Sirtuins are not conserved longevity genes"
Charles Brenner
Life Metabolism
Volume 1, Issue 2
October 2022, Pages 122-133
Brenner is both cautious and critical of research that promotes claims of anti-aging and longevity. He reviewed Lifespan: Why We Age – and Why We Don't Have To by David A. Sinclair, summarizing it as "an influential source of misinformation on longevity, featuring counterfactual claims about longevity genes being conserved between yeast and humans, the existence of supposed activators of these genes, and claimed successful age reversal in mice based on partial reprogramming. Brenner published a major review of sirtuins in 2022 entitled "Sirtuins are not conserved longevity genes".

I've been a raw food vegetarian for over a decade & its true. How & what you eat will slow your aging down.. Because i don't look my age due to eat healthy and the right way & the right things ..
If you cook your food or vegetables your cooking out the nutrients.
Great information hopefully the future will have a more easier way to reverse aging.

I'm beyond confident this technology will not only come to full maturity but also become accessible to everyone, however my only concern is the backlashing regulation from those who are secretly in control of the world, or "the man upstairs" because if their agenda is keeping population under a certain threshold the last thing those people want is extending average human lifespan by a significant amount.

When people speak of longevity and then eat a mainly or exclusively plant diet lacking in tons of nutrients, it's hard to take them seriously. My diet is easy to OMAD on without requiring the ridiculous amount of supplements these guys need. Then they speak of what we are genetically designed for... well, cavemen weren't painting tubers and plants on walls.

I find the idea of aging becoming optional 100% a horrible idea on every possible level at least in combination with how humanity behaves, uses resources and builds its cities today.
Besides the obvious spike increase in needs for materials, housing and food
eternal youth means that you can only die either from an accident (quite possible a gruesome death) or from being murdered.
Also if you wish to die naturally,
you would have to willingly force yourself, not to give in
and avoid taking the pill that would reverse aging.
Aging by the way is kind of poetic if you think about it, because it gently turns the idea of death from something dreadful to something liberating.
I cannot imagine the will power one would need to have, to CHOOSE to age and suffer all the misery that comes with it, until death, for decades.
Plus you would also need to continue working for as long as you are young and capable which I guess could be alright if you enjoy you job, problem is that as we are currently witnessing with the rise AI, entire job sectors can become obsolete and you would have to constantly learn a new profession, although to be fair after decades you would probably have passive income from buying a 2nd house and renting it.
Speaking of houses and renting,
if you think cities are ugly and unbearable now and the price of buying and renting a house is too high,
just imagine if people keep living forever!
And don't get me started on how much more superficial and egotistical people will become!
I mean narcissists already think they are going to live forever and be young and beautiful.
Imagine if they actually can do that!
Oh...
and imagine dictators actually being able to rule for as long as they live!!

I think, just my opinion, we are way too obsessed on living longer rather than better. I would rather live less years that are happier than live more on a treadmill of this thing or that thing. Also in my opinion, this is nothing more than a sales commercial for the book he is selling. it seems like an infomercial to me, but you be you!! At 64, I am on no medications, no eye glasses, no body pain, no diseases. I am a college graduate and work in the medical field. I have not seen a doctor in 45 years, non smoker and I drink a glass of wine rarely. It is just common sense and genetics folks!

Sinclair says there will be no upper limit to our longevity. But... what about heavy metals building up in the body over time? After several hundred years of not aging, wouldn't our bodies just be huge sacks of metal particles accumulating? Surely there would be a slew of unwanted side effects to this...
I'm not trying to sound like a downer tho. This is incredible tech and I'm stoked to see it flourishing!

However, I get an uneasy feeling seeing who all is involved- Bezos, Big Pharma, etc. it does NOT seem right they can dominate/buy "the land" as David called it aka patents. It's scary if they can patent what is natural, it's just us discovering what's out there. I am sending higher consciousnesses energies on all this wonderful re-discovering how amazing life here as humans is!! Unconditional love to all.... xoxo

The question is not how long we will live, but how long humanity will exist after this technology is available.
As a human being I would like to live old in a healthy condition, so i take care of my body, like I would take care of my old car.. But my consciousness is not limited to my human body. I need many different life experiences to evolve, extending this life indefinitely would prevent that evolution.

Live healthy , eat right and stay healthy , but your body is not going to live forever . The title does sell books but where are the living examples of ageless people ?

It is promising but realisticaly speaking, don't expect any available approved treatment for humans (not mice) for at least 20 years. And those first treatments will cost a fortune that only rich will be able to afford for at least another decade. So at least 30 years from now if all goes well and it is a big IF. I am 40 and i have a glimmer of hope that i will make it till the first widely available treatment.

I use stem cell products for my skin and for hair regrowth and they work! I think I’ve even reversed and signs of aging and my hair is now thick! I avoid sugary drinks and I don’t drink much alcohol. I don’t eat apples though due to them being too sweet. I drink hibiscus petal and blue pea butterfly tonics instead of juices. I’m going to try Kratom for it’s anti inflammatory abilities. I also put some of the stem cell media on my gums when I had some minor pain and the pain went away completely within a day.

Age reversal isn't the issue, they are closing in on it. However, are we ready for it socially and politically, as well as economically? I don't think so. Not hard to forecast who will be able to get to it first, the rich. We are already having problems with funding social security, so what happens if everybody starts living to 100? We need this discussion now....

I do not subscribe to the AGE GRACEFULLY philosophy. I want to age younger. It has taken me some years to come to this but i am determined to do everything to achieve a younger metabolic age... Diet Lifestyle, environment and my supplements. I take a bio replenishment supplement that is native to the body and switches on metabolic pathways. Bring on getting younger older.

In my opinion, I think that our genetic code or static genetic code if can be read properly will tell us what potential life span of years we can live potentially. But the epigenetic code is considered dynamic depending upon our lifestyles, how we eat, what we eat, how we exercise and how well our environment matches our internal persona & behaviors. Secondly, you mentioned that you take metformin as part of your longevity therapy. I have read much information on berberine which has very similar properties to the overall action of metformin but without the gastrointestinal side effects of metformin. Have you considered using berberine instead and if not, why not? Thirdly, do you see a future where synthetic bionics coupled with AI capabilities will eventually fuse with our own physiology more & more where eventually most everything in the body except for our brains will become completely fused with synthetic bionics coupled with highly advanced feedback regulation due to the development of highly sophisticated artificial intelligence?

Read about the kings list. These kings ruled for thousands of years. What did they know we don't know? Is there really a limit on age? Is it really aging or just falling apart? Age is just how many times you have went around the sun. A number. Falling apart is just that, falling apart. It would seem to me if you didn't fall apart you could exist for as long as you wanted to. So, the goal would be not to fall apart so you could make more trips around the sun. I think in the future ways will be found to do certain things in a certain way and be able to live as long as you want to.

My biggest fears are the interest conflicts from companies that support researches. David is a huge scientist and should be careful about. Companies can destroy his career. It's not easy to have financial support to develop science over the world. Companies are options, but after some some things I have gone through, never more companies x science. Grants should come from Federal Government with companies draining money through public way. Scientists from laboratory do not understand how deals work behind the scenes ( administrative ways).

The claim that aging is now optional is very unrealistic, or rather, divisive. No doubt the mechanisms and means to achieve longer and healthier lives are and will be prohibitively expensive for most people. But then we already knew that living in poverty and near-poverty affects health and longevity negatively.

20 years later no closer to any cure for ageing. In 2003, his lab was small and struggling for funding.[3] In 2004, Sinclair met with the philanthropist Paul F. Glenn who donated $5 million to Harvard to establish the Paul F. Glenn Laboratories for the Biological Mechanisms of Aging at Harvard.

All US spending on the War in Afghanistan exceeded $2 trillion.
The total monthly salary of the 300 thousand mobilized in the Russian Federation will be about $1 billion.
The cost of restoring the newly admitted subjects in the Russian Federation will be about $20 billion.
In total, compared to 2021, Russian budget expenditures on “National Security” have increased by $35 billion.
The United States has sent a total of $110.97 billion to help Ukraine. The total EU assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict has exceeded 50 billion euros.
And all the life extension startups in the world are raising around $2 billion in cumulative investment per year.
The total cost of the Apollo program was about $25.4 billion, or about $152 billion in today's dollars.
NASA's Artemis lunar program is expected to spend $86 billion by 2025. The long-term goal of the program is to establish a permanent base on the Moon and facilitate manned missions to Mars.
Elon Musk has calculated that it would take $1 trillion to successfully colonize Mars. Just the money that the US spent on the War in Afghanistan would be enough for this.
The colonization of other planets is becoming relevant today in connection with a possible nuclear conflict.
Recently, there have been successes in rejuvenation of the body. If more money were allocated to the fight against aging, then success could be achieved faster.
Anti-aging enthusiasts such as British gerontologist Aubrey de Gray and Mikhail Batin, head of the Russian Science for Life Extension Foundation, complain about the lack of funding. Progress in this area, in their opinion, could go much faster.
Instead of funding the fight against aging and the colonization of other planets, the leadership of countries finances wars. As a result, the development of civilization slows down, unnecessary sacrifices and destruction appear. The leaders of different countries work inefficiently and not in the interests of the people.
Why can't the leaders of countries sign a peace treaty and use the money allocated for wars to benefit people, for example, to rejuvenate a person, to colonize other planets, etc.? Is maiming and killing people, destroying their homes more important than rejuvenating them?
The United States has staged 201 armed conflicts out of 248 that have occurred in 153 regions of the world since the end of World War II. These figures are for 1945–2001 only. In particular, the wars unleashed by the Americans in the Middle East are not taken into account.
How much money was spent on destruction, but it could have been used for useful purposes!

Enjoy Peter's perspectives, have read and listened to his stuff for years, but his quest for life extension reminds me of the 40 and 50 year old women in Beverley Hills who go to get their faces stretched and filled full of fillers. At the end of the day, we're proverbial fruit flies. We're not here long and while striving for optimal quality of life in old age is a worthwhile pursuit, the rest seems silly and futile. The quest for the magic elixir.

Lifeforms with limited sentience on the average have shorter lifespans than those with greater sentience. However it doesn't seem intuitive that the lifespan is directly contributing to advanced cognition, but perhaps the converse could be true though not necessarily entirely responsible. If we take the bible as a historical account, why did we live so much longer pre-flood? Perhaps our senescence was programmed, and the designers were over-ambitious in their assessment of humanity. Perhaps our relatively shorter lifespan was more appropriate to optimize our rate of development, and as we advance, we will learn to re-engineer our biology to an evolving appropriate norm.

Hmm i have dinosaur d.n.a and another prehistoric marine mammels. Your breakthrough will be achieved through chimera d.n.a. to be a prehistoric creature is the key for space traveling because as it is we are talking about a hybreed species which is the titan of the future. Actually the epigenom is the basis for d.n.a fusion; problem is only babies can survive chimera cells growth as it has a high amounts of stem cells. I am a citizen of the intergalactic federation- a representative. At the end your endevaor to significally increase life span without using chimera will be futile and will reset humanity biological roots by becoming cyborgs. The last bridge will be to modify and optimize the human genom with an animal d.n.a. and that's the reason we must take care of our planet and other planets biological habitats inside a biological doms.

Does Dr. Sinclair hear himself when he speaks? He says there’s nothing he can do about the ban on selling NMN because he’s not the chairman of Metro Biotech, so he has “no control.” That’s true, he’s not the chairman, but by his own admission in responding to Peter, David stated he’s the COFOUNDER and he’s the VICE CHAIRMAN of Metro. So he has no say in what the company he co-owns does? David also stated the form of NMN that Metro Biotech has submitted to the FDA is unique in form, as it’s “crystalized.” The reputable companies that are selling NMN, are selling NMN in a crystalized form. #liar

I think I have to precise this: Although Sinclair was considered a renowned researcher, he's now seen as untrustworthy and deceitful. He sold falsified research using his influence for hundreds of millions which he spent on a villa, research that the buyer (A medical company) was never able to reproduce, he promoted pills he was making a profit over, he defended products that were never proven effective, he always made claims without any basis as a way to get the public's approval, ... For example, research is only at a point where we hope that today's kids will live up to the age of 150, and that's seen as optimistic, so saying that we'll get rid of aging all together is just a baseless lie. Not saying it won't happen, just saying that nothing points in that direction...
He's like Michio Kaku, with the only difference being that he says bullshit on purpose.

God is the law, and each of every human shall taste death. Our mortal body is just a husk, why do we have to be bothered about it?
Rather, you should invest more on what is inside that mortal husk, because that's where your journey will continue on living after the mortal husk decayed.

But what if IT WORKED?
What if, en masse, you wrote to us to say “You’re right”?
What if you talked to the qualifiers about it?
And I'll tell you one thing.
Either we let ourselves die, and we die. Or we fight, and maybe we still die. But MAYBE not.
And perhaps this very small maybe is worth all the sacrifices, when we think of what is at stake at the end.
Time to act people.

It will come someday. We need to understand the human body, cells, disease and life first. It will probably come in small chunks. But with the new AI models, and the exponential growth of this and other technologies, it will come. In 100 years, our time right now will look like cave men with toy "smart" phones. If we could see 100 years into the future, we would be perceived as gods.

This "age reversal" thing must be one of the strongest addiction-related business ideas to make money of in the developed countries, apart from narcotics. Real results don't matter, the client just has to be convinced that he moves in the "right direction" and "getting younger and younger", though in reality he isn't going to look or live as if he's 20 anyway.

I wouldn't trust this guy. Have been watching David Sinclair for more than two years now and he's really smart with speech but it's all empty. He has been saying this same shit on camera at every podcast. I have taken NMN and Resveratrol for more than a year but it didn't do shit. In fact my aging accelerated.
And many experts in the longevity industry like Dr. Charles Brenner have challenged his claims but he never answers those because he knows he's wrong. This guy is just a showman with great marketing skills and a big mic. That's it.

I have been following the longevity field since I was 50 and I’ll be 60 this year. Although without a doubt I’m healthier because of what I’ve learned and implemented, I’m frustrated that the magic time when meaningful longevity technology is available is always ten years away. It was ten years away ten years ago when I started.

I live for quality over quantity. I’m 63 and probably feel the best I’ve ever felt. Frame of mind is so important. If you sweat your age too much you are in trouble. Live life to its fullest and try to find your best health lifestyle and be happy. Also of course, get your spiritual life in order. Whatever that is for you. I’m wishing all of you the best life possible.

Thank you for this video I watch all of your videos I don't know what it is about you David Sinclair but something about you that gets me hooked every single time I hear you I think I feel a sense of connection I get you I'm very optimistic about always proving people wrong whatever I'm trying to prove because I believe that much in myself and as you do yourself so that's one thing that I admire and the realization that I've never seen another man be as bold and forth telling about a subject that most scientists wouldn't dare cover study talk about to the public so kudos to you everything you've talked about if applied works everything you talk about not only works but makes sense someone called you Peter Pan once I think they're right and you've accomplished all of this with very little sleep so I also have that problem yet I've accomplished many things as well not on your level but it's true it's hard to function with very little sleep but hi hi hi kudos to you what does it mean why some people sleep really deep and good and others don't I don't understand but I do know this much I will work on mine as well God bless and take care and I'll pray that you get better sleep!

Thank you guys! Fascinating chat. May I ask: If all of the intended science works, disease is cut down, quality of life improved, then what takes most people at the time of death with the limits have been reach? Just fatigue of the heart, for example? Do the normal things which get us now just get us 30yrs later? Thanks!

fantastic gentleman, thank you for bringing the subject forward in this YouTube post. I think it's important to recognize that a lot of people who are in their senior years now; which would be 65 and older, budget a certain amount of money to make it to 84. I think a lot of people would be very frightened about living past that, they've retired and they don't have the funds to sustain their current life. Society would need an infrastructure of support I.e., food and lodging. Financially it would be a luxury for people that have the means to sustain their life past 75 years old or greater.

I have been listening to Sinclair for last 5-6 years. His optimism is accelerating at a rate faster than Moores' law. He used to say we might see 10-15 years rejuvenation within our life time or soon after , to now fully aligning with what Kurzweil used to say. Sinclair used to say hope Kurzweil is true but it's still fantasy. George Church is more rational person who doesn't go about making too bold statements in media like Kurzweil which obviously made many to think Kurzweil as a jerk. Aubrey De Grey too lost many peoples confidence as he has been saying it's 20 years away for last 20 years. I think we should not speculate too much on time and focus more on the path.

Definitely our worst problems are aging and death.
We see the acceleration of technology, how humans progressed in the last centuries and how humanity came from the stone age to what we have now.
Think about it...
It's an incredible long travel who is almost impossible to conceive, how we were a few thousands humans during an extended time and we could still survive until now.
Being alive and healthy is the most precious condition we all have...it's totally normal to seek negligible senescence and push forward in this direction.
We should put all our strengh on this.

I like David Sinclair, but I dislike that he is always using filters or light to blur his face, so that it seems younger. In the pictures, you can clearly see a difference. I love that he is so lean and certainly looks younger than his age, but let’s be more honest in front of the camera. Plus, I would recommend caution with some supplements that he is referring. I am not a scientist, but in respect to aging and everything else, it is probably better to stick to moderation and be careful with overdosing on exotic elements or supplements. Choose a good, balanced lifestyle and diet instead.

I have a brainwave entrainment device that helps relax me and lull my brain into a sleepy state. It's also helped me to meditate for much longer than I could before.
I think the science of mental well-being is more important than longevity. Why would we want to live so long if we're miserable? But the same technologies that advance one advance the other.

Like Eistein said there is no such a thing as 'time'..... People must label all things, must label others, they have to place all things in a specific box, they are obssesed with the need to control. The first question they ask is "how old are you?" They have to put all in a slot, actually most have no respect for others, nor for others need or life style.

My opinion of the timetable:
10 years to partial rejuvination technology through partial age resets .. will give flawed age reversals that are enough to achieve longevity escape velocity. 10-20 years down the line it becomes near flawless. Maybe 30 - 40 years from now we get to have the kind of nanobot interventions which allow full body repair and restructuring that truly and fully reverses aging (and all the research that comes before it aids in mapping the genome's functioning for this purpose).
50-60 years from now we should be able to engineer our own bodies so as to remove select defects with better genetics from a universal library of genetic possibilities, doing this in the adult body and not just for new embryos. Nanobots will help remake the body in the new image of your enhanced DNA.
Obviously the research needs to be strongly regulated and ethics develops as the technology becomes more reliable.
At least, this is my fantasy and it hedges on the fact that global society won't collapse in the meantime.

Since 2014 till to 2023 january, i think this longevity field is standing still. I am following for 8 years and nothing noteworthy has come out. So frustrating.all these partial epigenetic reprograming of cells and tissues, damage control, senolytics, telomere lengthening etc all were hot topics then and they still are saying the same stuff after 8 years. Nothing radical has been invented. Only thing these men always say that they are working upon and trying to figure out.. and always the tangible technology is 15 years away. It was 15 years away then in 2014 and it is 15 years away in 2023. I fear that these men are clever and building their career by selling a sci fi hope . May be we are still 200 years away . Or may be we are really 10 years away. Who knows. I will wait .. what to do.. and maintain good lifestyle and eat healthy .
I am disheartened to a lot of extent regarding the sluggish pace of this longevity field.

for reverse aging do they mean not just "regenerate" but even and especially "healing the body".. ? some examples like back pain, plantar fascitiis, bone marrow edema, artritis, tendinitis , often these things like many others don't get healed like they should.. will all these things get healed with this future medicine technology ? if so it would be great and a totally new view of life.. Young and healthy.. i don't think there is something better..

I am new to all of this, and a healthier lifestyle is certainly a positive. I had my children late in life and living longer would be amazing, giving me more time with my children that I had forfeited by having them later in life. However, I am put off a little by the fact that the animals who live longer that this gentleman mentions. Are animals with much different metabolic rates, such as tortoises, and sea creatures that do not deal with battling gravity, the same way we do. I’m certain there are biological variables. Although these animals such as whales and sea turtles basically live weightless in the ocean. They are biologically suited with ways to deal with such things as water pressure that they live in. I am not a doctor or scientist, but I failed to believe that this does not have a tremendous effect on their longevity

I am curious to get Peter’s thoughts. Here you talk about a large population actually not being a problem but Peter has spoken at the world economic forum. Not that he buys into everything they say but the WEF is into population control and reduction. to the point where their actions could result in the death of millions. It sounds like you are not in agreement here. It would be nice if you could use your ability to speak to these people to help convince them the error of their ways. If they can use a fraction of their money to help fund these longevity projects that could make a huge positive difference.
I completely agree that we have an obligation to our family to take care of ourselves. I think we’ve all had family members who have become a burden to the rest of the family because they didn’t do so. Knock on wood I would never want to do that to my family.

We are also built of the same foundational elements as a mayfly…they live less than a couple of days…

Lifespan. Healthspan. Fertilespan.
As health span increases, the retirement age should increase too.
People should have time and money for a second specialization.
Dementia, unemployment, illiteracy, and infertility should decrease.
As the percentage of supercentenarians increases, who remains fertile?
Our nuclei slowly accumulate mutations, till nobody remains fertile.
The field of genome editing has a big future.
It could solve even the problem of mutagenetic insertion.
It could repair and conserve genomes and epigenomes.
Otherwise reproduction cannot be forbidden or diminished forever.
Anyone should have the right to die.
But nobody should have the duty to die.
We should never get so far as to see manifestations for the death of some generations.
There are many folk or pragmatic, traditionalist politicians and manipulators who think that geroscience and transhumanism have nothing to do with genuine politics.
Illusory, strange, unrealistic topics, movements.
There are no money and frameworks, conditions for such madness.
These are just words posted in vain...
Paradise lost.
Nothing but Schengen really matters for them.
Society is/will completely shocked and unprepared for such madness.

You forgot to mention that a lot of people cannot do intermittent fasting and/or eat once a day. It could quite literally kill them because of their health condition. Anyone who is overweight, insulin resistant, pre-diabetic, diabetic, has thyroid issues, should NOT be just taking supplements and fasting. The only right and safe for them to shed weight and get back to their healthy self is by working with a qualified nutritionist and ONLY the one with a successful track record in fixing these medical issues.

When will a chip download our mind into a brand new augmented body? We live in funny times! It's really sad to see David and the others living permanently with a device to measure their body parameters. Is this the essence of life? Working obsessively to counter death. What if death was a beautiful thing?

It'll be so much fun for next generations to live 150 to 200 years in a war-thorn wasteland. Maybe the remote islands like AU/NZ will be less affected but I'm not sure considering the landslides and floods and wildfire of historic proportions going on these past years. And this is just the beginning. Let's just hope the longevity pill gets here sooner than the collapse.

Now sinclair trying to do same with nmn a form of b3 which has been sold now for several yrs and sinclair has fda having all but his new company only one that can market. His company just try’s to piggyback on others research with his company coming up with anything new on health. Too he is always saying my eating and exercise keep me young but for looks just Botox and fillers but never talks about these cosmetic methods uses and much reported on.

Dr. David A. Sinclair. I’m a disabled veteran suffering from chronic fatigue, which has destroyed my life. Earlier last year I came across your research on NMN and I decided to give it a try because nothing else had helped. It changed my life. I can finally clean my house or go get groceries without extreme exhaustion. My mind isn’t in a constant fog anymore, I don’t wish for death anymore, and I finally feel like I have a little control over my own life. Yesterday I found out that your company had NMN banned by the FDA as a supplement. I am destroyed by this news and you personally have both given me hope and then ripped away any chance I had at rebuilding my life. I can’t go back to constant fatigue and a life where I constantly think about ending it. Please help Dr. Sinclair, losing NMN will be the end of my life.

Main takeaways:
1- Eat less often.
2- Avoid sugary drinks and foods.
3- Reduce meat intake for longevity.
4- Its never too late for dietary changes.
5- Find veggies that have been stressed out (organic, colorful veggies)
6-Never start a meal with sugars, if you do eat them at last.
EAT LESS OFTEN
-There is a genetic pathway that gets triggered by low energy. These genes (sirtuins) respond to low energy (low glucose levels-caloric restriction), high heat, low amino acids, high salt (stressors). -----They take care of the DNA repair and the stabilization of the epigenome.
-When the body is hungry, the body makes NAD (fuel for the sirtuins).
-Two ways to activate sirtuins synthetically:
1) Use some molecules
2) NAD booster.
Longevity genes:
Mtor: protein that registers amino acids. Allows the cell to build things. Not a recipe for longevity. Activates autophagy.
Ampk: goes up when hungry. Makes more mitochondria (important for making energy)
Sirtuins
Fasting:
- Metformin: mimics fasting.
- Time Restricted Feeding: At least 16 hours.
- Liver compensates for the lack of food. Glucose neo-genesis. It overcomes the feeling of hunger. The liver starts making glucose at a steady level.
Sugar: big killer. It spikes glucose. Glucose shut down sirtuins and ampk. Defenses against diseases and aging shut down.
Protein: we should avoid high protein red meat diet for longevity. It inhibits mtor.
Amino acids: three important. Leucine, isoleucine, and valine: BCAAs. Are used to sense protein intake. The sensor is mtor. The mtor activates when you get them. Mtor repairs and build muscle. In the short run, this is good for building muscle etc. But in the long run, mtor is the responsible for autophagy, which is key to longevity.
Plant based diets: the more vegetarian you are, the longer you live. The best, Okinawa diet, is plant base diet with fish - (probably because of Essential fatty acids)

Hi David, just want to let you know I have followed your videos for the past few years. When I looked back during my prime years (~ 30 yrs old), my work schedule was irregular, therefore, I only ate a maximum twice per day, sometimes even once per day. On top of that, I was an avid racket sports enthusiast. Played sports every other day, (quite intensive), and never stopped. Now, I am 50 yrs old, and still continue to play badminton (extremely intensive - advanced/pro level) every other day consistently, and only eat a maximum twice per day, most of the time eat once per day, with light snacks. All my friends and new people I met, still thinks I look around 30 yrs old. It seems like my aging halted considerably ever since I started eating less meals, and got into intensive sport when I was 30 yrs old. When I see some of my friends that are the same age as I am now, they all starting to have grey hair, and wrinkle skin, early stage conditions (weight gain, diabetes, high blood, cholesterol, etc.). Ironically, I weighed around 130 lbs when I was 30 yrs old, but now my weight has been averaging 120 lbs for the last 20 years, with an average BMI of 20.5. I notice it's a bit weird when my surroundings are aging much faster than I am. Therefore, when I saw your videos, I noticed there is a similar pattern that I have been on the right track for the last few decades.

Great video, thank you.
I'm one of those taking Metformin, even though I don't have diabetes. My cardiologist was asking me why I'm taking it. I had to explain to him the longevity research behind Metformin. Why should I have to explain this kind of health information to a physician? Isn't their job to know what could possibly make their patient healthier?
In addition to Metformin, I'm taking Apigenin, CA-AKG, Fisetin. I have felt my Testosterone levels increase since Apigenin. Since I started Metformin, over a 6 month period, my A1c went from 5.4 to 5.3. Glucose went from 97 to 87. My albumin is 4.4. I do feel pretty good for a 67.5 year old.
I have been doing intermittent and long term multi day water fasting for at least 20 years now. My diet is pretty good. Sardines, salmon, organic vegetables, berries, nuts, beans, green tea, organic dark chocolate (85% cacao). Daily drink of organic garlic in water and extra virgin olive oil.
I love life. I want to continue to live a healthy life for as long as humanly possible. Give another 100 years, at least.
"Live long enough to live forever".

Good morning!
I am contacting with you because I am very much interested in the topic of sirtuin activation and general antiaging. I have been following various studies for years and have a strong interest in this subject. I have been wondering for a long time about the properties of astaxanthin (specifically, whether it works antiaging or also activates sirtuins). Have you ever done any research on astaxanthin? Is our any information on this subject you could share with me?
Thank you very much in advance for your help!
Kind regards,

People do not really want to live for ever - they just want to be "younger" for longer - so if we could live to 100 but remain "youthful" for the first 80 or so years that would be great enough. So working on how to substantially slow the aging process is certainly the right perspective.

The FDA have put a ban on NMN inresponse to David's company filing for a form of it as a drug. So far you can still by NMN but its future is uncertain. As it has already been sold as a supplement it may end up contested in court. While I appreciate David's research, I don't think he should get to own NMN as it occurs naturally in the body and in certain foods we eat.

There is a way to get clarity of safety that is more effective than mechanical instruments/testing, but that will require that scientist recognize and employ the value of intuition. I foresee a future where the most sensitive and trained instruments on earth (certain type of humans) and scientists work together in harmony to make great and highly valued strides.

Hi David. Just wondering why your company lobbied politicians to ban NMN in the non proprietary versions and why did your company AT THE SAME TIME have a proprietary version of NMN developed that you could sell for 50x the price of the off brand NMN that your company just helped get banned?

Hello David Sinclair! Amazing! Need help with my 83 year old mother who has burning feet every night. We have exhausted so many avenues and have not succeeded. She is in excellent health other than this major issue. She eats well and takes many vitamins' and many different anti-inflammatory vitamins. She has tried Acupuncture and gastro check up. Nothing works. Any suggestions'? She is from Hungary.

One way of getting better PR on it is to rebrand it has aging healthcare rather than calling it a cure or age reversal.
Aging healthcare sounds better and it is something that many would get behind especially if it is focused around muscle health, brain health, organ health, blood health and so on.

We need progress. One way of getting important information quickly to guide later human trials is to perform experiments on Primates. What we would need is to reverse the age of an aged Primate such as an old Chimpanzee. What does the Chimpanzee have to lose? We should be able to get primate trials done much earlier so that we can use this information to help to de-risk the human trials and thus to get them approved earlier.

I can't help but feel it's only a matter of time before the age reversal industry feels strong push back in terms of regulation which centralises the power, profits and control of distribution. A population living half again as long (as David himself alludes to in 'Lifespan') brings with it a ton of socio-economic challenges and complexities. For now, let's leverage the early opportunity presented great work

I appreciate the detail of breakthroughs - they are astounding - but let's face it, from initial trials with mice to working therapies on humans is one or two generations away. Great interview but I wonder how much time do you spend studying people that don't seem to age very much? Take me and my mother and her mother who died at 100 with no skin wrinkles. I also retain a toned body without working out for going on 30 years now. Both my mother and I heal with no scaring. 10 years ago a half inch of the tip of my ring finger was cut off to the point I could see the bone sticking out. I never went to the ER or had it treated. The bleeding stopped around 4 min then a white membrane grew around it 30 to 50 minutes later. This is when I knew something strange was happening so I started taking pictures. This white membrane expanded to the same size as my finger was then but never turned into a scab. 2 weeks later the finger prints started coming back. After a month the entire finger tip was regrown but felt like baby skin. I was amazed as other people I know that had something similar happen showed me their finger and said it was not ever the same. I've cut my hand to the bone in the past and had full healing but this was the first time I ever cut something off and had it grow back, I was 45 at the time. Two years ago I had what they call a boxers break on my left hand but after 18 months I was still unable to make a proper fist. Last month I was able to make a fist again to my surprise. I'm 54 now. I also don't seem to loose muscle tone even though I have not worked in 10+ years. I'm sure there are other people like me in the world and wonder if we could improve on what is driving my healing factor as I would love to heal as fast as "The Wolverine" and live as long. ;-)

Surely we will reach LEV long before that? Its almost impossible to think that we wont have completely and comprehensively addressed this 'condition' by 2080.

There will never be immortality on this side of Heaven, but age lengthening, I believe, will absolutely happen. The Bible, in Isaiah, refers to a time in the future when the one who dies before 100 will be considered cursed. There were men in the very early times of humanity, in Genesis, that lived over 900 years old. Of course, with sin and its effects, the life span shortened, especially after the Flood.
Everyone is appointed once to die, and then they will be judged. Unless they are found in Christ, believing on Him, they will be cast into the Lake of Fire and will be punished forever for the just punishment for their sin against the infinitely holy and glorious and good God, the one true God, the God in and of the Bible, Yahweh.
Slowly, but surely, I believe the advancements in technology and understanding, in righteous living according to the Bible, will enable the lengthening of the life spans to the point where when a person dies before 100, it will be seen as unusual.

What is practical to do is think about extending our lives for an amount of time , say 10 years, then during those ten work on how to extent to a 100 then during those 100 work on the 1000 and so on. This way we may reach thousands , millions , billions of live years. Forget eternity is the practical thing to do until we actually understand what etennity really means. Perhaps a human who has live for 100's of years will adquire the necessary knowledge to answer this , but is not really needed...

Just look for a place that all these ideas could success.... Maybe USA is not the right country

Regardless all the tech in the world isn’t going to regrow the desolation we have inflicted on the planet our natural resources & each other. The lost state of humanity is a key ingredient. The discussions on Cryogenics and the companies in that field. I looked into it and quickly decided against it. The reason is that I believe the Business Plan for those companies is not practical. I told them personally about my concerns and they had no good response.
The issue with those companies is that in my believe, we will most likely have the technology to expand regular lifespan by hundreds of years BEFORE we have the technology to successfully bring those already frozen back to life. If so, then it means that there won't be many patients in the future freezing their bodies for eventual thawing. Then, if those companies do not have any new customers, where will they get their funds to continue operations. After all, buildings, security, heating, office workers, dry ice and everything else involved with those companies will require some cash flow. So, I think eventually you have a building full of frozen popsicles for human bodies that will be discarded because the company won't be able to keep their lights on.

David's work should be carefully vetted in light of the resverstrol controversy. I don't trust his work based on his claims. Everyone should wait for peer review and replication. Multiple labs tried to replicate his resverstrol results and failed. We should be careful with his work.
Another note: metformin also failed the ITP. I wouldn't say the data "looks good" on that one.

What was it in the cuneiform Sumerian King's list...
Something like 14 rulers over a span of 38,000 years.
We have some of that genetic, although degraded through the millenia because these rulers created us via their genetic intervention.
Or is that just not Scientific enough to base anything on?

There is a MD Youtuber who seems to have strong opinion when it comes to Dr. Sinclair. The thing is that that MD doesn't seem to be biased as his clips are largely based on published clinical studies. I know an average MD is nothing compared to a Harvard Medical School permanent professor and ex-MIT researcher but in the interest of the public especially the fans and followers, I wish Dr. Sinclair would address some of the concerns publicly raised by that MD, in case he hasn't yet.

I’m confused as to why you would you be a vegan? You haven’t seen the research about trying to live and vegetables? I have tried this myself vegan and vegetarian and well the headaches the lack of energy the loss of muscle tissue and the list goes on. I do believe that vegan vegetarian some more susceptible to/because the lack of fat in their diet and arteries in the brain and vessels then off causing strokes. This is something for you to have a good look at. Something else for you to look at it’s called hygienic eating? I’ve had a couple books called chance that for Energy or fit for life. I will explain in greater detail about Hygenic eating and how the Amazons in the stomach digest your food. Particularly when you adding different types of foods together? Maybe this is something to look at in your research?

How many super centenarians have thriving, daily interactive, close relationships with their great-great-grandchildren?
Once you hit 90+ yrs, all your close loved ones will be dead.
And there will be no one around that knows you or that will be interested in forming a relationship with you.
Those who are available will be other super centenarians, who will check out of life as quickly as they entered yours.
What's the point of extending this stage in life?
You'll have low energy, be mostly inactive, be in pain and on meds constantly, without loved ones or true meaning in life.
Society will see you as a walking vector for the latest covid variant and won't want you around.
What a woeful existence.
Even if you can extend the life of closest loved ones, the odds of all making it to 125 yrs old together drops dramatically with each passing year beyond 75.
Life is meant to be experienced and shared.
Living beyond 120 toward 130 is no life at all.
Most people don't have the genetic code to live beyond 75 and start their health decline in their 40s.
Wanna live to 130?
Better not retire until you're 105 to 110.
This is just real talk.
The average length of retirement is 18 years.
At 105 years old, the average human is a barely conscious, accumulated mass of poorly functioning, decrepit, senescent cells.
Who wants to experience that prison for another 25 years?

Now, I like Dr. Sinclair and what he is about, but, the STUDIES I have read don't say "we" are anywhere near to being the best. In fact, I read that "we" aren't even in the top 10. One STUDY said "we" rank 37th. Other STUDIES say "we" are, at best, 30th. The Ukrainian's figured out stem cell technology in 1987. Think about that. Think of the number of people who could be helped. Feel free to point out where I'm wrong but saying "we're" the best, in my knowledge, is foolish. Good show, regardless.

I have followed good nutrition all my life.
Born in January 1945, my early years' foods were the standard 'wartime diet' - basic but good for sustaining basic good health.
This I followed - because it was served at home and in education establishments - through to age 22. That was when I became independent and became responsible for my own nutrition and health. And that happened to coincide with John Yudkin's first reports on the health risk of excessive sugar. Having studied chemistry, I was familiar with New Scientist where those findings were reported.
Being quite vain and wanting to stay healthy and good-looking, I stopped all my use of sugar except what was naturally in the food. And from that I was inspired to study more on good nutrition, and apply it in my own life.
Then because of my continued good health, I have always been inspired to take exercise. My favourites are hill walking, mountaineering and rock climbing. Yes, even to this my 80th year.
And even if I don't have any specific activity to do, I still cannot "sit about". I'll just go out for a walk.
Also I note that just today, there has been a news report about increasing incidence of colon cancer even in young people. And it is considered that this is a consequence of increased consumption of "junk food". Goodness! - What a misnomer! - If it's "junk", it's not food. And if it's food, it's not junk.
Sorry to go on a bit about this. Perhaps I'm getting old, even if I don't look it. (So I am told.).
And keep up your good work. Health should be everyone's "Number 1."

You are what you eat. Your diet impacts your health.
Lower stress, reduce obesity and more exercise are key to a healthy life.
Obesity in children and adults is rising across the world.
Fast food and sugary drinks are contributing to the problem of poor health and obesity.
Eat a healthy plant based diet and exercise regularly.
Reduce or ELIMINATE cows milk, eggs, cheese and meat. Eat more salad greens, beans, fruit and vegetables. Eliminate fast food, snacks like cookies, cakes, chips, and sugary drinks and juices.
Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly.
Regular exercise will help you sleep better. Yoga is a great stress reducer.
Obesity is all too common today. Get off the couch. Get off the phone, ipad or video game.
A variety of stretching and other exercises help with increased mobility.
Ride to work, ride to school, ride for fun.
Every city should be a bicycle city.
Speak up for bicycles in your community

Even children today have signs of artery disease. Fast foods and sugary drinks have long term consequences.
There is an obesity epidemic today where over 60% of the population is overweight or obese.
What is common today and "NORMAL" is not healthy. The average person today is not healthy and is taking medications.
Heart attacks were once only common in people over 65. Today people in their 40 are having heart attacks.
Add more plants and vegetables to your diet and less junk and overly processed foods

0:00
do you think there is an upper limmit to
0:02
human aging it's not even a
0:05
question Dr David Sinclair is a genetics
0:08
professor at Harvard who finally found
0:10
the golden key to living a 100e long
0:14
life reducing inflammation today he will
0:18
reveal and solve the seven alarming
0:20
sources of inflammation number one being
0:23
the most shocking of them all if
0:25
inflammation is going up too fast that's
0:27
basically your clocking accelerated yeah
0:30
there are so many risk factors you
0:31
probably don't even realize are causing
0:34
inflammation for example eating the
0:37
majority of daily food after 5:00 p.m.
0:40
not taking enough or the right kind of
0:42
supplements and vitamins and even being
0:45
selfish and pessimistic but how on Earth
0:48
can you bring your inflammation under
0:50
control to live past 100 years keep
0:53
watching till the end because Dr
0:55
Sinclair will teach you how to prevent
0:57
and solve each of the seven inflammation
0:59
s ources one by one a groundbreaking
Research
1:03
research study was recently conducted
1:05
on, 1500 Japanese individuals which
1:08
included
1:10
centenarians super centenarians
1:13
centenarian Offspring and spouses and
1:16
people between the ages of 85 and 99
1:19
This research discovered that after age
1:23
inflammation is the strongest predictor
1:25
for mortality vitality and brain health
1:29
so when you talk to a centenarian and
1:32
say did you used to get sick they say
1:34
can't remember last time I got sick
1:36
remember inflammation is in our control
1:39
which means that you can choose if you
1:42
want to live a long life there is no law
1:45
that says we must age remember that so
1:48
how do you live over 100 Years by
1:52
recognizing understanding and avoiding
1:54
the seven sources of
1:56
inflammation number seven heavy evening
Heavy Evening Eating
2:00
eating according to studies if you can
2:02
find yourself eating more than a third
2:04
of your daily calories after 5:00 p.m.
2:07
you may need to change your eating
2:09
schedule eating heavily during the
2:12
evenings increases inflammation in your
2:14
body so reduce the amount of food you
2:17
eat after 5:00 p.m. and increase the
2:20
amount of food you eat before 5:00 p.m.
2:22
unless you choose intermittent fasting
2:25
and have all your daily food within an
2:27
8-hour window remember eating too much
2:30
has never made anyone healthier but
2:33
overeating and being obese is going to
2:35
massively turn up inflammation
Inflammation
2:38
inflammation is a key driver of at least
2:40
30% of all mental health related
2:43
diseases including depression and
2:45
anxiety a high inflammation and CRP
2:49
level can lead to a greater risk of
2:51
depression and anxiety the World Health
2:54
Organization ranks chronic inflammatory
2:57
disease as the greatest threat to human
3:00
health aim to keep your CRP level below
3:03
three to prevent depression and anxiety
3:06
and all it takes are some longevity
3:08
lifestyle changes that Dr Sinclair
3:11
shares number six inflammatory foods
Inflammatory Foods
3:15
like sugar fried food seed oils donuts
3:19
and white bread increase inflammation in
3:21
your body instead you can follow one of
3:24
these seven plant-based diets that are
3:27
anti-inflammatory and anti-aging these
3:30
include for example Mediterranean diet
3:32
okan diet intermittent fasting or an
3:36
entirely vegan diet for Dr Sinclair a
3:39
vegan diet has been the most anti-aging
3:43
I went back another 2 years in my
3:45
biological age just in a couple of
3:46
months after switching to that diet he
3:48
and another renowned longevity doctor
3:51
esselon Caldwell recommend foods like
3:54
nuts and seeds beans and peas and green
3:57
leafy vegetables what green leafy
4:00
vegetables bu Choy Swiss chard kale
4:03
collards collard green Beach brussel
4:04
sprout broccoli cauliflower cilantro
4:06
parsley spinach and auga and I'm out of
4:08
breath the key is to make sure you're
4:10
getting the most nutrients out of your
4:12
meal we we focus on legumes and those
4:15
plants that have high protein content
4:17
nutrition these foods contain
4:19
phytonutrients that fight off free
4:21
radicals in your body which cause
4:23
oxidative stress and aging of cells this
4:27
brings us to Dr Sinclair's next source
4:29
of inflammation you need to avoid lack
Micronutrients
4:32
of
4:33
micronutrients lack of micronutrients
4:36
can increase chronic inflammation so to
4:39
achieve longevity start taking
4:41
micronutrients regularly in a study
4:44
people with increased inflammation and
4:46
poor metabolic Health were given
4:49
multivitamins these multivitamins
4:52
decreased their CRP and inflammation
4:54
levels also markers like insulin started
4:58
to go down one of the vital supplements
5:01
for Dr Sinclair is
5:03
Resveratrol the the one chemical that I
5:05
take every day is Resveratrol which is
5:07
the red wine chemical um and that comes
5:11
from grapes and so that one gets
5:14
sprinkled into some yogurt in the
5:16
morning Resveratrol has antioxidant and
5:20
anti-inflammatory properties that
5:21
protect you against diseases like cancer
5:24
diabetes and Alzheimer's disease the
5:27
anti-inflammatory effects of veratrol
5:30
make it a good remedy for arthritis and
5:33
skin inflammation it also has
5:35
antibacterial and antifungal properties
5:38
that help treat infections of the
5:40
urinary and digestive tracts Dr Sinclair
5:43
says that taking supplements has
5:45
preserved his family's health uh so I
5:48
I've been taking supplements for and
5:51
experimenting on myself for about 20
5:53
years uh and my father has also been
5:55
doing it he's now
5:56
83 and and in perfect health so just by
6:00
increasing vitamin and mineral intake
6:02
you can decrease inflammation levels in
6:04
the body and increase longevity but you
6:07
need to take the highquality
6:09
multivitamins to experience the full
6:12
effect how do you know which ones are
6:14
high quality you should be advised to
6:17
take it twice a day it is not possible
6:20
for just one pill to pack all the
6:22
necessary
6:23
micronutrients the next underrecognized
6:26
source of inflammation is number four
Core Oral Hygiene
6:29
core oral hygiene incredibly important
6:33
and increasingly recognized to play a
6:35
big role in both chronic inflammation
6:38
and heart attack risk you should have
6:41
good oral hygiene remember gum
6:44
inflammation leads to inflammation in
6:46
your entire body clean out your inflamed
6:50
gums get rid of
6:53
periodontitis brush your teeth twice a
6:56
day get them checked by your dentist but
6:59
don't don't fall in unhealthy love with
7:01
yourself studies show that Hedonism can
7:04
be a major source of chronic
7:07
inflammation Dr Sinclair himself lives
7:10
by his grandmother's advice she said
7:12
David do what you can to make this world
7:14
a better place make sure that you leave
7:17
this place better than you found it and
7:19
that's what I'm trying to do people who
7:21
only focus on their desires and indulge
7:24
in honic pleasure tend to have more
7:27
pro-inflammatory genes but if you're
7:30
someone who likes helping out others and
7:32
caring for the community you focus on
7:34
you demonic activities and you are
7:37
likely to have anti-inflammatory Gene
7:40
patterns doctor also emphasizes having
7:43
strong communal bonds if you're healthy
7:45
and happy and have friends uh you'll
7:48
never want to die it also reduces stress
7:51
and loneliness which can cause
7:54
inflammation so if you want to live over
7:56
100 Years start giving back to the
7:59
community immunity this keeps you active
8:01
and will help you avoid the next source
8:03
of
8:04
inflammation three sedentary lifestyle
S sedentary lifestyle
8:08
an inactive lifestyle leads to a higher
8:11
inflammation level the amount of time
8:13
you sit in a chair directly feeds your
8:16
CRP take 30 to 60 minutes out of your
8:19
day and do some medium level exercise or
8:22
gentle activities an active lifestyle at
8:26
first will lead to a spike in acute
8:28
inflammation
8:30
once you let your body heal it will
8:32
start adapting to your more active
8:34
lifestyle like it did for Dr Sinclair's
8:37
80-year-old father I wouldn't say he
8:39
looks young but his Fitness is like a
8:40
30-year-old and not really he's stronger
8:42
than me we tested out in the gym the
8:44
other day no way that's embarrassing he
8:45
can lift more he's fitter we were going
8:48
across the serengetti and he was leading
8:50
the charge if you saw him if you didn't
8:52
see his face cuz he's he's got gray hair
8:53
and whatever physically uh he put a bag
8:56
on his head you'd just you'd say he's 30
8:58
the way he moved well he's he's
9:00
reinvigorated in life Dr Sinclair states
9:04
that you should exercise until you're
9:06
out of breath breath you want to be able
9:08
to be moving so fast that you cannot
9:11
carry out a conversation easily it makes
9:13
you hypoxic and low in oxygen this can
9:16
be a good stimulant for your body as you
9:19
build muscle and get a better blood flow
9:22
your body's tissues begin to release
9:24
chemicals that slow Aging in the long
9:28
run your INF inflammation levels start
9:30
to fall especially if you spend time in
9:33
nature research has found that high
9:36
levels of air pollution can cause high
9:39
levels of inflammation in your body this
9:42
inflammation spreads even more once you
9:44
have these other risk factors high blood
9:47
pressure old age obesity and diabetes
9:52
even being unmarried can be a risk
9:54
factor once all these risk factors begin
9:57
to interact your risk of an early demise
10:01
increases spend as much time as you can
10:04
in the fresh air take frequent trips to
10:06
the countryside and away from the city
10:09
air it can do wonders for your health it
10:12
reduces stress levels and increases your
10:15
chances of living over 100 years
10:18
especially if you combine it with
10:20
getting rid of the number one cause of
10:23
inflammation smoking the factors that
10:27
are counter to
10:29
uh a longer healthier life smoking for
10:32
sure that's the worst and the worst the
10:35
link between smoking and inflammation
10:38
isn't simple smoking does increase
10:41
oxidative stress and inflammation but
10:43
when people quit smoking they tend to
10:46
start eating more being overweight as
10:49
we've seen before increases inflammation
10:52
in your body so is there a solution if
10:56
you quit smoking well done but try not
10:59
not to fight off hunger instead eat well
11:02
and eat healthy this will keep your
11:05
stomach happy prevent weight and reduce
11:08
inflammation in your body by avoiding
11:10
these seven sources of inflammation you
11:13
increase your chances of living over 100

Longevity is a victory over early dead, but longevity must be reached with the joy of life. At 85 I enjoy in moderation everything that life offers. Many of your advice are good !
