It was stupid of me to sell $76,000 worth of NVDA stocks without reinvesting. I might turn to cash soon if I don't. Any particulars? (Buying bonds or CDs is not for me). 444 Reply 6 replies @VanChuong-on2gh 1 day ago I recently read an article about a man who identified AI stocks before the AI boom, highlighting the importance of information and insight. AMD hasn’t even released AI for consumer gaming yet. NVIDIA is already using its third iteration of DLSS for a while. NVIDIA AI compute products are expensive but they can replace many older systems and reduce energy cost substantially. Or if you are creating new data centers and need AI compute. The latest NVIDIA AI compute products and services take up much less space. As much as AMD has stollen market share from Intel in the custom PC market. Intel still dominates the PC Laptop market. Intel’s biggest competitor in PC laptop market will be Qualcomm. ARM based CPUs are just way more power efficient than x86. Intel’s future is becoming an alternative to TSMC once their new Arizona FAB comes online. CNBC Channel. Chip-maker Nvidia became the world’s most valuable company after its share price climbed to an all-time high on Tuesday. It is now worth $3.34tn (£2.63tn), with the price having nearly doubled since the start of this year. The stock ended the trading day at nearly $136, up 3.5%, making it more valuable than fellow tech giant Microsoft. It overtook Apple earlier this month. The Californian company's meteoric rise has been fuelled by its dominance of what analysts call the "new gold or oil in the tech sector" - the chips needed for artificial intelligence (AI). To sell a expensive graphic card like Radeon 9700 is a no brainer because Pentium 4 is a single core when these custoers who bought their first desktop want durable pc and can lasts long until the next generation of CPU arrived like the dual & quad core. NVIDIA sell cheap budget graphic cards like mx series to poor people and mid range card like titanium series to gamers who are first time buyer and capturing the hearts of millions of gamers although NVIDIA must earn less. Look guys Nvidia stock got run up way past any reasonable valuation...that NEVER happens, something new and unusual! Reply @constantin58 4 days ago (edited) Nvidia is a strong company, yet it may not hold its position as the top stock for long. In the next 5-10 years, it could fall to 50% or less of its highest stock value. Physical limitations in creating smaller, more efficient, and cooler-running chips will be reached soon. When this occurs, there will be little incentive to upgrade, likely leading to stagnant profits. While waiting at the finish line, numerous competitors will likely aim to develop comparable products, which could further reduce Nvidia's profits. TVs serve as a good comparison. Once people acquire large 4K TVs with superior color quality, the need for upgrades diminishes. If you purchase a high-end 4K TV today, it's likely to match the performance of models available 30 years from now, contrasting sharply with the significant quality differences seen in TVs from 30 years ago. Wikipedia 40,672 views Jun 19, 2024 #BBCNews #AI #Technology Chip-maker Nvidia has become the world’s most valuable company after its share price climbed to an all-time high on Tuesday. It is now worth $3.34 trillion (£2.63 trillion), with the price having nearly doubled since the start of this year. The firm is now more valuable than fellow tech giant Microsoft. It overtook Apple earlier this month. The Californian company's meteoric rise has been fuelled by its dominance of what analysts call the "new gold or oil in the tech sector" - the chips needed for artificial intelligence (AI). AMD also depend on TSMC for manufacturing their larger and faster Instinct GPUs which do come with higher amounts of higher bandwidth memory and also higher floating point performance. 2 Reply @Benedictrud 3 days ago Obviously, AI stocks will dominate 2024. NVIDIA is the dominant leader in AI and the preferred technology partner globally. Even w new competition on the horizon, NVIDIA is far ahead of the competition. 85% market share. 76% margin. Unrivaled demand for new Blackwell chip. Demand far exceeds production for Blackwell through to 2025 and beyond.
