Compared to other countries in Asia, I thought that the people were great. I never felt any racism. In fact, people of all ages were happy to see me when I entered stores, libraries, restaurants, etc. But my beef is this: Whether it's Taiwan or in a city outside of Taiwan with a decent Taiwanese population, the men need to realize that they do not have "imminent domain" over their women. They can choose to date and marry who they want. I can't tell you how many times I was targeted and almost physically attacked because I was with an extremely attractive Taiwanese girl. These people knew nothing about me or how well I treated her. We are no longer together, but man it was difficult even walking down the street whether in Taiwan or a major American city.
