They were one game shy of the NBA finals when they eventually lost in game 7 against the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals in 2018. 21 Reply 2 replies @Bojacc357 @Bojacc357 2 years ago Great list, I would like to honorable mention Magic Johnson. 6'9 spinning in traffic, wheeling, and dealing in showtime. 14 Reply @martysomoco @martysomoco 2 years ago (edited) Marques Haynes of the Globetrotters exceeds them all - especially those from the 1980's onward who carry the ball, palm the ball, and execute similar cross-over actions which, in all levels of basketball in prior years, would have been called violations in the travelling category. 17 Reply 1 reply @jason41a @jason41a 2 years ago Harden has a Ph.D. in Culture, Tourism, and Globalization. coz he travels so much. 1.3K Reply 45 replies @howitzerdriver7687 @howitzerdriver7687 2 years ago Loved the thought behind your lineup. Hall of Fame career using his amazing quickness and ball handling skills at 5’9”. 2 Reply 1 reply @lovemycity420 @lovemycity420 2 years ago Kyrie is hands down the best ever! His left hand is so dangerous it’s illegal in 47 states! The English he puts on the ball to make it kiss, or stop on the glass is unmatched! He threw a left handed lob for a dunk to Jordan the other night, that blew my mind! It was effortless and without thinking! He really is ambidextrous! Nash the only person I seen who could make that play! His dribble packages, are unmatched, and a lot of them have never been seen b4! His handle so cold, Lebron, Tatum & KD have implemented some of his dribble moves into their game! It’s like u can’t play with him, and not get better dribbling! It’s just different! Strickland and Kemba should have been on the list, or at least honorable mention! 82 Reply 13 replies @kennyunderwood3602 @kennyunderwood3602 1 year ago 1-isaiah thomas...2-pete maravich...3-tim hardaway...4-rod strickland...5-jason williams...6-mark price...7-kyrie irving...8-micheal ray richardson...9-steve colter...10-nate archabald Reply @big_ant0827 @big_ant0827 2 years ago i like this list... 50 Reply 2 replies @cruelreality7600 @cruelreality7600 2 years ago (edited) Kyrie had the best handle in nba history imo. If the title was top 10 "dribblers", I have no complains. But since it says "ball handlers", then TOs should be accounted for (ball security). 48 Reply 3 replies @sonwil705 @sonwil705 2 years ago Rod Strickland is the best point not on this list. He taught his nephew (Kyrie) how to ball. 26 Reply 4 replies @blkboy115 @blkboy115 2 years ago There may be some arguments on D. I enjoyed watching J. Will, he just too cool and cocky with it, real swagg. Reply @knocklesnar 6 months ago Two major grips with this list: 1. No Pistol Pete is intolerable disrespect 2. Calling Harden "one of the best offensive players ever"....C'MON SON! Maybe, MAYBE with a few added caveats like off the dribble, or shot creator, then you MIGHT have am argument. But strictly offense with no qualifications? No way is he top 5. I enjoyed the video though. You say Nash wasn't athletic by any means, then contradict yourself by describing his speed and dexterity. Dude played ice hockey as a youth and basketball, soccer and rugby in high school. 1 Reply @tmbiggie66 @tmbiggie66 2 years ago Y'all forgot Tiny Archibald, Skip to my Lou, Pistol Pete, and you probably never saw Kevin porter the original assist leader of the NBA. there's more too although his offense sucked Ray Felton had a serious handle too. 5 Reply @Flametree1492 @Flametree1492 2 years ago You neglected to mention Pete Maravich, Earl Monroe, Tiny Archibald and there were many more. There should be am "era" system! Before the rules were changed that allows players today to palm the ball and literally walk to the basket with no opposition! Back when there were real ballplayer that drove to the basket and made the shot, that was an achievement! I miss the old school players! Their accomplishments were truly an achievement, they were hand checked, pushed pulled and held and then the many hall of centers of that time would manhandled anyone that would dare drive down the middle, it was truly something to see! 1 Reply 1 reply @HandlezMcgee @HandlezMcgee 2 years ago Honorable Mentiin: Franchise, strickland, maravich, van exel, i liked tmac's handle too lol Underrated: kemba, jeff teague, tyreke evans, ty lawson, baron davis, DERRICK 'POOHDINI' ROSE, raefer alston If we talk just deadly crossovers? Most players know Kyrie is intrinsically a natural ball handler and offensive style. But what about the others? I’ve seen Steph with such extreme ball handling sometimes in some scenarios. Whereas Durant can do a crossover unexpectedly and shock me. Considering he’s 7 foot with insane wingspan and handles well. KD difficult to guard, according to 19 votes (NBA players). Also he’s either top 10 or top 5 in shooting so that’s a cherry on top. Also Derrick or CP3 or Harden also have noticeably good handles with the ball. Sometimes Harden go crazy with the crossovers. The one that stands out athletically is Curry and Kyrie, so fast. Especially when Curry mixes Kyrie handles and shooting. Best point guard in my opinion. For example you list Harden very high for step backs and Euro steps which are moves where you pick up the dribble and not keep controlling the ball as part of the offense. The same with a couple of other options in that list that would be more adept in a list of Top ten Moves. Ball handlers would include players like Tony Parker who was able to penetrate between tight defenses and multiple opponents without breaking the dribble, or even slip and lose balance and still keep the dribble alive, get up, and continue the play. And like him, others. Reply @MrKoolvictor @MrKoolvictor 1 year ago How do you not have Kenny Anderson in the top 10??? I wouldn't even have him #2, cause for one he's not as fluid at driving to his left as some of the other ball handlers on the list. That's why his crossover was from left to right. Alot of his dribble patterns are set up for him to drive to his strong side. The best ever ball handlers are suppose to be fluid at driving either left or right, like Kyrie, Steph, CP3, are. They didn't allow you to carry the ball back in the day. They are literally allowed to carry the ball in todays NBA so we will never know. That's why we see so many more ankle breakin crossovers today. It also allows the offensive player to easily create separation to shoot the jumper. To hard to defend when you're literally allowed to carry the ball. Today's NBA does not have better ball handlers. He never played for a great team until the final year of his career when he went to the Celtics. His talents were wasted, even in Boston. That is much more difficult and with hard fouling defenses to boot. To me the most impressive ball handler in history is someone who the ball looks as if it's on a yo yo and can dribble into traffic and dribble out if no options open up, control the dribble the whole time and have controlled dribble at fast sprinting speeds.
