Dr. Eric Berg DC 8.57M subscribers What do you think the most dangerous food in the world is? Find out! DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti... 0:00 Introduction: What is the most dangerous food? 0:28 Why this is the most dangerous food in the world 6:10 The most dangerous food in the world 8:53 Check out this video on the healthiest foods! Today, we're going to talk about the most dangerous food you can eat and what makes it so dangerous. Factors that make this the worst food in the world for your health: 1. It combines starch and fat under high heat • This creates advanced glycation end products, which affect your eyes, brain, heart, and kidneys. 2. Hydrogenated oils • This contains trans fats, which affect your cells, harden your arteries, and may increase your risk for cancer. 3. Acrylamide • This is a neurotoxin that has been linked to Alzheimer's. 4. Sugar • Sugar can lead to many different health problems. This food may contain sugar, beet sugar, dextrose, or maltodextrin. All of these types of sugars are very dangerous. 5. Glyphosate • I believe glyphosate can potentially alter a person's microbiome and may lead to negative health effects. 6. Seed oils • These oils are very inflammatory. 7. Ketchup • Ketchup contains high fructose corn syrup, which can lead to fatty liver and insulin resistance. It also has corn syrup, modified corn starch (MSG), and soy oil. You probably guessed it—the most dangerous food in the world for your health is French fries. I was born and raised Italy 🇮🇹 on fresh and REALLY healthy food (only oil we used was the best olive oil!), we had chickens and fresh eggs daily and never even heard (or needed!) of vitamins and supplements … my family made a point in buying everything fresh every day … the Mediterranean diet, they called it. When I came to the US and I saw the food here, I cried 😢😢😢 - literally! …and I couldn’t possibly understand why people ate all this garbage. It was harsh. My mother is 88 now, she still keeps the same diet and has no physical problems whatsoever: healthy as a kid, no medications of any kind. Zero. USA 🇺🇸 might be a free country… but the food is a disgrace 😱 474 Habib Hussaini Habib Hussaini 2 weeks ago Dr Berg, you not just making videos on YouTube, you are actually educating people about things they would never learn or hear, you are saving lives here, and you are trying to make people healthier and happier. Solute to you, you are a hero by all means. Thank you!! 382 Dr. Eric Berg DC · Barbara Ludwig Barbara Ludwig 2 weeks ago 23 years ago, my fit and seemingly healthy 52 yr old brother had a heart attack. His doctor told him the worst food anyone could ever eat was french fries and told him it was a contributing factor to his heart attack. My brother, of course, spread the word to the rest of the family. I wish I could say I stopped eating french fries then and there but in reality, I didn't stop eating them until I started Keto 4 years ago. I'd known for 19 years that french fries are the worst food to consume, but still it didn't sink in until Keto and I immediately noticed how much healthier I felt without potatoes, sugar and wheat. I should have listened to my brother who is off french fries and very healthy right now at 75. 40 Joe K Joe K 2 weeks ago It's almost like we're being poisoned on purpose so we give medical personnel life long repeat business. I went to a Fish & Chip shop there and had battered sausage & chips. It tasted amazing, but Dr. Berg's advice about fries has really made me think... 65 alabinibop alabinibop 2 weeks ago Doughnuts are also claimed to be the most unhealthy food. Simple carbohydrates, fried in rancid oil, covered in sugar. 2.1K Dr. Eric Berg DC Deep Rolling River Deep Rolling River 2 weeks ago I moved to Mexico for 6 months. I ate roasted chicken and tons of fresh raw veggies with olive oil. I lost weight, my skin became clear, and my energy level skyrocketed. 143 Jennibeans25 Jennibeans25 2 weeks ago Thank you Dr. Berg. Please don't stop helping us with your videos. You are bringing to light so many issues that the food industries don't want anyone to know about. 20 Michael DK Michael DK 2 weeks ago Just wanted to add that the ketchup in Europe (some parts of it anyway) is much more traditional. You'll find sugar not HFCS, and you'll often just find tomatoes and herbs/spices, some salt. Especially the slightly more health-oriented ketchup varieties (common in supermarkets from big brands like heinz) which offer 50% reduction in sugar are, in my humble opinion, net contributors to health due to the insane amount of lycopene and other antioxidants. I don't disagree with your analysis of regular ketchup but it's important to note that not all ketchups are created equal :) 23 J Kaw J Kaw 2 weeks ago Dr. Berg, I apprecate all the work you do to get the data and presenting the information in a manner that makes sense. And I need to mention, you’re looking extra healthy Dr. Berg. You’re a great testament to this lifestyle 😲 4 James Platt James Platt 2 weeks ago I used to work in a chemical factory in Missouri. We made agricultural products that farmers spray onto crops. One was glyphosate, which is the generic version of roundup. Everyone who worked there swore it was non toxic and harmless, and you did not even need to wear gloves when we were making this product. It did have "sugar" in it though which would make your hands sticky, therefore 'you may want to wear gloves' because of that. So I was the only one wearing any PPE, because I did not believe them. I found a different job after a few months and am glad I got out of there. 288 Joy's Love Joy's Love 2 weeks ago (edited) YAY! I rarely eat french fries. Now, muffins and cookies is another story. 😊 Thanks for whipping us into shape, Dr. Berg. We need you! 64 Mary De Young Mary De Young 2 weeks ago At one time french fries were fried in tallow (beef fat), but since seed oils were touted as healthy and restaurants were forced into using seed oil instead of tallow (via health regulations), they have become the dangerous food they are. 67 Nathaniel Simon Nathaniel Simon 11 days ago I always recommend dr. Berg, no one else is going to tell you this at no cost. I cut wheat gluten and high fructose corn syrup and as someone who’s always struggled with weight my stomach is flat all year round. Also his dietary tips saved my girlfriends life too. I won’t get into it but she’s a diabetic who almost died of covid twice. 7 Lilly Thaureaux Lilly Thaureaux 2 weeks ago Thank you Dr Berg. You are a truly a genuine decent human being. I love all your videos and share them with friends and family. I wish you can also make videos about pets. My 11 year old chihuahua was just diagnosed with diabetes. Its overwhelmingly stressful and painful to see my little girl suffer. Sending love and gratitude 😊 11 Rich DeFazio Rich DeFazio 2 weeks ago You’ve been right about all of it, Dr Berg! And judging by what people are still eating, they need to discover your brilliant short videos that cure people. I decided I’d make the pandemic count for something, so I plunged into your keto program with intermittent fasting. My girlfriend pointed out that I could do this, because these were foods I liked. Well, it opened up a whole new world for me. This was priceless information mixed with the compassion our healthcare system does NOT have, or want, because it’s not profitable. Not going to turn this into a rant, I just wanted to point out that you gave me a way to bypass the ambiguous, disappointing diet results that Ive been putting up with for so long, and now have a real tool that bypasses my hypothyroid I got from drinking water close to 3mileIsland back in 1980, traveling with my job. It changed my metabolism. But keto works anyway in spite of it, and also has real profound health benefits, because your brand of keto causes us to avoid all these terrible foods, and ingredients. You’ve also given me a license to eat healthy fats. It’s such a different approach that actually works, and is good for us. Doughnuts seem to also meet the criteria of the french fry. Pointing out that it’s really a poison that is never an option, no mater what diet your on. I feel really fortunate that I know that, and no longer have an addiction to all junky, processed phofood, Which is just another corporate manipulation that we should all resist, and resent 15 Faces Within Faces Faces Within Faces 2 weeks ago When I started keto last year, giving up fries/potatoes was the hardest part. I could go the rest of my life without eating candy or dessert, and I’ve gotten used to no bread or pasta. But I still crave potatoes every now and then haha. That being said, it’s been totally worth it. Down 90 pounds and actually keeping it off. 569 Dr. Eric Berg DC MnS H MnS H 2 weeks ago Prior to your explanation, my initial thought was ANY food fried in unhealthy oils. Also a video on why some people crave sweets vs. fats? 2 Walt Irvin Walt Irvin 3 days ago (edited) As soon as you said the word starch I knew right away. The second most I would speculate is probably Donuts. They are deep fried as well and usually covered in sugar or have some form of jelly inside. So I'd give them a close second. 1 venaturelle venaturelle 2 weeks ago I was really hoping it wouldn’t be fries. That’s the only junk food that I haven’t been able to give up 🙁. Yet ANOTHER life saving episode! 3 Brono Valter Brono Valter 2 weeks ago I thought you were talking about bread at first, but then I suspected French fries, but wasn't certain until the 7th item. I think you are correct. I'm gluten sensitive, so even if I am tempted, I don't get French fries at restaurants. On rare occasions, I will make them myself, but then I'm using fresh organic oil and organic potatoes. Still not that healthy, but not nearly as bad. Most of the time I'm low carb, but when I want to cheat, I prefer something like French fries to deserts. 2 Cristina Cristina 2 weeks ago Regarding the ketchup part, it is not very difficult to make your own healthy ketchup, you just need some tomatoes, peppers and a bit of time to cook it. 3 The Book Trooper The Book Trooper 2 weeks ago Thank you for this informative video. Our kids love the fries and ketchup and though I focus on keeping them away from processed foods and sugary treats they eat fries with their meal now and then. I prefer to cook homemade organic potatoes cooked in butter or ghee but even that does not take away the issue of AGEs/acrylamides. Its going to be tough to avoid this when eating out also but going to be more mindful of this! 3 TheLifeOfSuziee TheLifeOfSuziee 9 days ago I love your videos, literally so informative! Thanks also for helping us be more conscious of what and how we eat . ❤ K K K K 2 weeks ago I would find it helpful to go into more detail about the first point, particularly with regard to stir frying. Many vegetables have some starch, and the process is high heat. Also, will tofu have problems? Finally, what would be the clinical evidence of this claim of byproduct and its effects at normal portion sizes? 4 Bogdan Dyulev Bogdan Dyulev 6 days ago I think one of the worse things that we do here in the UK is the school lunches. They are incredibly unhealthy, you either have white bread sandwiches or pizza and chips, or fried frozen chicken. I never ate school lunches, I always got salads or prepared steamed vegetables. What I think I'm noticing is that the "more healthy" these people try to make our food it has resulted in the opposite... I have difficult conversations with friends and family about low-fat vs. low-carb vs. just eat real food... all the crappy frankenfood is the guise of healthy snacking... I'm sure you encounter that daily in your practice Dr. Berg 9 Donald Powers Donald Powers 7 days ago A friend told me white bread was worse than sugar.. being a diabetic having changed my eating habits. Sure its not keto but preparing it by boiling good quality potatoes (or other alternatives) and adding organic butter is far healthier than the deep fried poisonous staple. 59 Dr. Eric Berg DC ROBIN PHILLIPS ROBIN PHILLIPS 2 weeks ago We need a cook book (WITH ALL YOUR MEAL PLANS, RECIPES) Dr. BERG! French fries are something that have been my weakness for so long. I used to order large fries as an extra for my combo that comes with fries back then.
