Kyrie’s just 25-years-old and yet his journey is just starting. He’s already an NBA Champion, All-Star, Olympic Gold Medalist and more and his game has been watched the world over for his incredible ankle-breaking handles and infamous ability to hit clutch shots when his team needs it most. Irving plans to immerse himself in Asian basketball culture with stops in Tokyo, Japan; Taipei, Taiwan; and Beijing, China throughout the end of this month. At the time, Irving said that he wanted to play in a situation in which he could be more of a focal point and that he no longer wanted to play alongside LeBron James, sources said. On August 22, 2017, the Cleveland Cavaliers have decided to send Kyrie Irving to the Boston Celtics in exchange for point guard Isaiah Thomas, forward Jae Crowder, center Ante Zizic and Brooklyn Nets's 2018 unprotected first-round pick, the teams announced Tuesday night. This trade gives the Cleveland Cavaliers options and insurance if LeBron James does depart in the future. One thing I've learned from this video (after constant replays of almost every crossover move in slow-mo) is that Irving is most effective in crossing over/up a player when he is lowest to the ground (i.e., when his chest faces the ground). If you watch closely as I did, you'll see the same exact thing. Even some of the best defenders in the league (such as Iman Shumpert and Avery Bradley, who are in this video) were helpless against him. He's virtually unstoppable and un-gaurdable in that position. He has the footwork of a shooting gaurd combined with point guard dribbling ability. On top of that he is ambidextrous which makes him alot harder to defend than curry. Curry has the best shooting ability I've ever seen, but once you get passed that what does he have? The nights were curry has bad shooting curry can't score very much, he's not that athletic, hes not even that quick. He was an exceptional inside scorer and mid range shooter but not a great 3 point shooter, not strong enough to guard bigs, not a great passer...so in order to get his he had to shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, and this worked on teams that were built with great defenders and passers, but if he had an average supporting cast it was first round or no playoffs...
