Even more remarkable was the amount of work that went into both the recording of “We Are The World” and the filming of the event. I loved the song when it first come out and I was thrilled when I found this documentary showing everyone involved and how they made that inspirational music so beautiful. It’s nice also to get to see so many of those wonderful musicians again who are no longer with us. Jane Fonda was a very good choice for the person narrating the documentary. I’m glad she got to do that. Every one of these artists was so beautifully humble, and seemed so happy at the chance to participate. Except for Zimmerman, he scowled his way through it as always. I don't understand why he was invited; he can't sing, and trashed it with his usual gimmicky talk-through. The rest of the ensemble was brilliant! They rejoiced together, and did that wonderful spontaneous tribute to Harry Belafonte, when daylight come and dey wanna go home! Kudos to all of those people. Michael shone so brightly, as always.
