I remember seeing this filmed when it was released for rental on vhs. it wowed me then, and it did again, just now. tommy Lee Jones is a master in his field. Jeff Bridges is great in this too. and forest Whitaker is very very good! This is an edge of your seat kind of thriller that is really good all the way through. I consider that choice a cinematic mark of excellence in this case. Also, inclusion of "Return To Me" by the October Project at 1:11:36 is something that somehow escaped my attention for many years. With times the details faded but the essence lingered on. Tonight when I am watching it, I have more control, I can go back and replay, I can understand it much better because of CC, I remembered it back then but now I appreciate it much more. I cannot express myself in detail, but I can say only one thing, there wouldn't be an IRA if Britons wouldn't have occupied Ireland. When the natives are denied their rights then what happens? Whom are you going to blame? My heart will be buried in that mass grave of all those who fought for their independence. Pit him against Jeff Bridges as the protagonist, throw in Forrest for good measure and you've got the makings of a great cast. Story line was a bit predictable, but so well performed the viewer doesn't mind. I love that the dedication of this movie included all bomb techs, like my friend and brother in arms who did not return from Afghanistan. Some of the music brings me back. The Irish are plenty in Boston. They have done good in America while building this country and proudly becoming part of the culture here. It's no good that the cultures coming in today have no regard for the culture of the American people. How prophetic, the blast at 47:30 is in Copley Square; a hundred yards from the site of the Marathon, finish line blast, which is visible in front of the gray and black striped building behind the smoke 50:49. ps. He put his sons, Jeff and Beau, on his old SEA HUNT show that ran for four seasons in the late 50s and early 60s. Tommy Lee Jones can play the mad man pretty good. And, he does a great job in playing his role in this film. Jeff Bridges usually plays the good guy. I like him best in good guy roles, as with this one. Which is not short for Nancy or Mary, or Cortez for that matter. Also if its a matter of hard drive filling up couldnt they just delete a chunk already saved and open up room for her to keep typing?
