I check YouTube for his highlights all the time. 646 Reply 16 replies @aliosmanarpa9391 1 year ago (edited) This dude deserves all the best. He was playing Euroleague away games when he was 17 at incredibly hard places like Turkey, Greece or Serbia and he was playing final series against Barcelona. The pressure he overcame when he was playing for Real Madrid at that age is what makes his game this mature at just 23. He is nothing like we’ve ever saw. Wishing all the best for him, glad to be a witness from the start. 281 Reply 7 replies @Golden_God_Untethered @Golden_God_Untethered 1 year ago I'm a Knicks fan. Him doing what he did to the Knicks on December 27th was embarrassing and should make me hate him, but I can't help but love this dude. He's extremely entertaining. He deserves MVP. 438 Reply 7 replies @tanthony3895 @tanthony3895 1 year ago The NBA needed this guy incredibly bad. The NBA was on a fast track for losing a lot of fans and he's breathed New Life to the league. He is absolutely incredible and a generational player. We are lucky to be witnessing this. 1.8K Hicko Reply 148 replies @ChosenPlaysYT @ChosenPlaysYT 1 year ago (edited) 1:00 His little “omg what just happened!” dance after the intentional miss free throw rebound bucket is the most genuine little kid like excited I’ve ever seen a professional athlete haha love it. The moments like that are why sports are so great. 97 Reply @grimhunter2223 @grimhunter2223 1 year ago It's amazing how he goes from moving really slow to fast and then slow again 😂 his rhythm is one of a kind. 225 Reply 10 replies @justifiedFaith209 @justifiedFaith209 1 year ago I think what is attracting a lot of us back to watching the NBA is the fundamental, highly skilled, technician type play that Luka and the Joker have brought back to the NBA. I mean, i still enjoy the super jump out of the gym athletes and all that, but those two are smoken these super athletes with plenty enough athleticism and a complete skill set. 290 Reply 12 replies @franciscoroman9927 @franciscoroman9927 1 year ago Luka is definitely is this years MVP hands down. He brings the most excitement out of all the stars in the NBA. He is unique and the future is so promising. May be witnessing a legend in the making 697 Hicko Reply 30 replies @Iggy1378 @Iggy1378 1 year ago Luka plays like he genuinely loves the game. His skill stack is uncanny, shoot, drive, dribble, pass, dunk, post, float, turnaround, stepback... he has every offensive tool. Good size defensively as well, however his defense is probably his only non gifted talent. 245 Reply 12 replies @MarMaxGaming @MarMaxGaming 1 year ago (edited) What I like about Luka too is you know he’s doing this against so many brothers that want to specifically lock him up since day 1 but they simply CANNOT 98 Reply 5 replies @maduroholdings @maduroholdings 1 year ago He has that Larry Bird quality of looking slow and slightly clumsy but still making eveyone look bad 8 Reply @lightzout2k874 @lightzout2k874 1 year ago he is the MvP 54 Reply @BostjanBavcon @BostjanBavcon 1 year ago Luka makes me so proud to be a Slovenian! Thank you 🙏 4 Reply @standafan4141 @standafan4141 1 year ago As he said himself it's easier to score in the NBA than in Europe. If you watch a European game, you'll see that players don't get as many fouls . So, defenders in the NBA are not used to defending like players in Europe would. Doncic is able to get to the basket like a knife into butter plus he gets an opportunity to get a third point on most of his drives. This said, I watched the game and it was just extraordinary. 77 Reply 11 replies @rexqtlgc7354 @rexqtlgc7354 1 year ago he is DIFFERENT 15 Reply @brandoncronan348 @brandoncronan348 1 year ago And people say bird would be too slow for this league 😂 bird would be the best player in the league by a wide margin 4 Reply @kennethward4985 @kennethward4985 1 year ago Only age 23 and first player to ever remind me of a young Bird. He’s multi-dimensional and can do everything very well - dunk, pass, fake, spin, threes,…and can do this whether he’s standing on his feet or falling to the ground, just like Bird. Seriously, everyone needs to watch this guy! 2 Reply @krisharkleroad8 @krisharkleroad8 1 year ago Great compilation. Imola is only a few miles from my house and I was a basketball player at the time. Luka was 12 years old, playing for Olimpia Ljubljana, and was playing in the "Chicco Ravaglia Trophy" tournament in Imola. Luka was one of the tallest threes on the team, but he was already a playmaker. In one game he scored 20 points, but contributed to his team's victory with about 30-35 assists. In 2012, at 13 years of age, signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid. Reply @staylofordo7111 @staylofordo7111 11 months ago Good to see someone bring excitement and real heart back to basketball. How incredible it would be, to see the other players apply more effort and enthusiasm. The guy is on fire 1 Reply @ernestkovach3305 @ernestkovach3305 1 year ago (edited) The reason this guy is such a great G/ Forward : 1. He is the best ball handler of any forward in nba history and best ball handler of any player regardless of position today. 2. At 6'7 ,he actually plays taller because of his long arms and very nice leaping ability. 3. For his height , see above, he has the ideal weight . Big body enough not to get pushed around, yet just right enough that he can accelerate and blow by defenders. 4. Excellent vision and touch on the ball. He possesses enough vision plus strength that it allows this agile to shoot off balance from any angle and still guide the ball into the basket . 5. Through what must be the result of tremendous hours of hard work, he has perfected an array of different moves from specific places on the floor and which his computerized like brain has perfected, which allows him to sort and choose ( like off a menu) the precise type of move and shot he desires -depending on the type of defensive obstacle he must overcome at a given moment - in order to achieve the goal of scoring. 6. If he does not win the 2023 MBA award, then he is again bring cheated. 1 Reply @jarkkoautio8318 @jarkkoautio8318 1 year ago I love this man. 3 Reply @rskrzz6233 @rskrzz6233 1 year ago its crazy how easily he puts them in the blender 3 Reply @godfreyofbouillon966 @godfreyofbouillon966 1 year ago I love the puzzled look on the defenders face in some of these episodes. He looks like he is playing and moving at half speed, but still dominates. I am no basketball expert, but I am guessing the fact he can make a shot from anywhere, and has amazing handles for his size, defenders have to cover the whole court, so it opens up more lanes than the average player. Because yes, he has handles of a god, great footwork, amazing court vision, and hands of silk when it comes to finishing near the rim, plus he has all the moves: euro steps, up and under, hesitation, using the backboard. His craftyness and 3point shooting is amazing. But there are two sides to this game, how good is his defense? And to anyone saying that it's irrelevant or unnecessary, please don't bother. 5 Reply 5 replies @dbsti3006 @dbsti3006 1 year ago (edited) I've been waiting for the next Larry Bird for a long time. This dudes got it now. He's there. That's a good thing for Dallas. I grew up loving to watch the nba in the 80's through the 90's. but then it turned to shit for a couple of decades. i kind of gave up on the league. but this looks promising. His full court awareness is great, kind of reminds me of Bird.. seems to be a great shooter. but the way he attacks the basket on the dribble getting the defense to back pedal is really good. and if that doesn't work he simply drains a fade away. seems like complete package.. not to mention some great passing as well. he also 'knows' when his shot is off and breaks to the rim anticipating where the ball is coming off. all like bird used to do.. but he has advantage over bird with his body size and athleticism. He also reminds me a little bit of charles Barkley to. very entertaining and talented for sure. 1 Reply @mikevisby8744 @mikevisby8744 1 year ago Haven't watched basketball in years, can anyone explain that bonus bar at the bottom? 1 Reply @petkokrushev3840 @petkokrushev3840 11 months ago (edited) You can see his step back from a mile and still it's unguardable 1 Reply @equinoxproject2284 @equinoxproject2284 1 year ago When Luca scored it looks like oppo bench is doing the mannequin challenge. In Real Madrid Luka's minutes where fully limited in the early years with pro team, staff knew about his potential but they knew Luke needed to full develope his body and game with pros and specially try to humble Luka. He was 16 and nobody want him to make wrong choices. He was learning under the wings of some of the best spanish players ever including former NBA players as Rudy Fernández (Portland, Denver) and Sergio Rodríguez (Portland, Sacramento). Only when he was almost 18 and the team was plagued with injuries, the coaches gave him the wheel and let him play with no time restrictions and command the team, rest is history. 513 Reply 7 replies @im-pro-at-skyrim8285 @im-pro-at-skyrim8285 2 years ago Luka being the same age as me is wierd to think lol 855 dylandoesbasketball Reply 16 replies @aaronvilla3824 @aaronvilla3824 2 years ago He really just needs a co-star and it’s over for the league 486 Reply 20 replies @Vyyyt @Vyyyt 2 years ago As a European fan I feel like I should add some things: Luka is not the most successful or most decorated Euroleague player, but that's normal, considering he had a relatively short EL career. Most of Europe knew he was special. Not a lot of teenagers make the roster of the teams like Real Madrid. I have no idea how NBA analysts sceptical of Luka overlooked the fact, that pretty most of the top European prospects drafted into the NBA were considered raw prospects in the Euroleague - Dirk, Parker, Giannis, Jokic, Bargnani - did not achieve anything in Europe, didn't play for the big clubs. There are exceptions, of course, like Pau Gasol. Now compare that to Luka's resume: MVP, final 4 MVP, champion, EuroBasket champion. Kid won everything in a couple of seasons. And yet, some ""analysts"" still doubted him. 265 Reply 15 replies @theloniouscoltrane3778 @theloniouscoltrane3778 6 months ago Luka Doncic - a mixture of confidence, arrogance and undeniable talent! He is definitely in top 5 best players to ever play the game if he got some weight down and worked on his quickness a bit, he'd be absolutely UNSTOPPABLE. He is incredible already though and could already be in the hall of fame as 23 yr old. Insanely talented! And a cutie haha his girlfriend is a lucky lady. 5 Reply 2 replies @danielhirsch1823 @danielhirsch1823 2 years ago I gotta say i played agains Luka and the Real Madrid in the earlier tournaments he play in Spain, and is true he stood out and deserved al those mvps and stuff, but also the team he play with could have won all those title without him, because Real Madrid is probably the best team in Europe especially in the early ages. So yeah, it was really unfair at the time. Not hating, i love his game, just wanted to point out he didn’t carry a team or nothing like that before going pro. 4 Reply @irraoclair6353 @irraoclair6353 1 year ago I love Luka more videos please Reply @hanselfinn8946 @hanselfinn8946 2 years ago Luka and trae is a gem on the 2018 draft 1 Reply @Tarquin2718 @Tarquin2718 2 years ago Wauw! ❤ 6 Reply @serbonkers4130 @serbonkers4130 2 years ago If the trend continues, he will win an MVP the next 2 yrs. 3 Reply @martinkoepke3005 @martinkoepke3005 1 year ago Nice video, buddy. But you should check on that "barely getting minutes at Real Madrid" again. in the 2016-2017 season he played about 20 minutes, in 2017-2018 25 minutes in a league with only 40 mintes playing time compared to 48 NBA minutes. He was the integral part of Reals offense and won them multiple titles and was named Euroleague MVP. And remember, born in 99 we are talking about a 17 or 18 year old yound man in that time :-) So obviously he got playing time at Real at a decent level like 63% of the total time, which would be about 30-31 minutes in NBA timing on 4*12 minutes. 2 Reply @carlospantoja4253 @carlospantoja4253 2 years ago Luka is probably the clutchest player ive ever seen not even funny how many game winners this man has 1 Reply @62528354robi @62528354robi 2 years ago you forgot wining Evro basketball championship with Slovenia and also win MVP before NBA wich is more than win with real madrid 22 Reply 3 replies @jurckastelc @jurckastelc 2 years ago To important notes: 1. You dramatized his sitting on the bench at Real Madrid. He was 16. And he played agaisnt grown man and was Serigos Lull understudy. 2. You completely missed out Lukas EUROBASKET gold medal with SLOVENIA at age 18. For a small county of 2milion people go be the best baskeball country in Europe is something unthinkable. He and Goran Gradič shook the basketball world that year. 28 dylandoesbasketball Reply dylandoesbasketball · 6 replies @lloydpogi3248 @lloydpogi3248 2 years ago (edited) 9:38 "ok ok, just a few weeks later.. Craziest part is, when this guys 5 year contract ends, he'll just be entering his athletic prime and would be able to move to any squad in the league because his performances warrant that respect. In 5 years some incredible players will have retired and entered the last years of their careers so theyll be looking for that last push for a chip which will provide incredible players for Doncic to lead to the final. Be that with the Mavs or elsewhere 15 Reply @milansreckov8998 @milansreckov8998 2 years ago People the world over, who love and appreciate the pure game of basketball, will by end of luka’s career, acknowledge that he is one of the greatest basketballers of all time.
