About Amadeus:
1984's Amadeus was not only a gripping human drama and sumptuous period epic that celebrated the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, but it was also a box-office hit that managed to garner eight Academy Awards (out of an astounding 11 nominations). This marvelous film portrays the rivalry between the genius Mozart (Tom Hulce) and the jealous court composer (F.Murray Abraham in his Oscar-winning role) who may have ruined Mozart's career and shortened his life.

The makeup work on F. Murray Abraham is the best I've ever seen - he truly looks old.
We produced films like this and 40 years later "Emilia Perez" gets 13 nominations. How did we get here?

Absolute brilliant movie, a true masterpiece!!
Showcased Mozart's genius perfectly.
The only flaw, which only enhanced the movie,
was that Salieri actually was instrumental in helping Mozart's career.

Glad it’s considered to be one of the greatest movies. It is in my favorite top 10 movie list at #4. First being 1946 It’s a wonderful life, and at #10 Parasite (2019). There are only 6 movies in that “absolute” list with 4 empty spots, hoping to fill it all in before I am too old and start to have memory problems.

It was written as a play first. And it was a great success as a play. So if you're wondering why there aren't many films like this anymore, blame the playwrights not the movie companies.

It is interesting to see the detailed dialogue between the Austrian emperor and his aides on the eve of the French Revolution. The emperor wanted the admiration of his common people, so he wanted a talented German composer who could compose a German opera that would entertain them. However, this would have violated the professional scope of existing Italian musicians. As expected, the Italian conductor and director were against it, but the ministers and aides, out of consideration for the emperor, said that a German composer was needed. Salieri tried to take a neutral stance by changing the subject to a check on the archbishop. As an undisputed court composer who also handled political maneuvers, Salieri was far superior to the up-and-coming Mozart, but he harbored jealousy and hatred that only a musician could understand toward this young talented.

There could be an argument that I would love to debate that Mozart was the Metallica of it time. I love listening to both of them along with Motörhead. Could you imagine what Mozart would be paid in today’s standards, he would be a multi millionaire several times over.

So, it looks like you've done a new grading/color correction to the film to give it a more "modern" look – you cranked up the saturation, and changed the original natural tone and white balance of the picture to give it this modern "creamy" tone, so that human faces look tanned and wax-figure-like, and white color (look at the laces and the wigs) is never truly white. Why not let the audience see the film the way it was made?
