We hope you like our newly updated DNA vs RNA video! So what is different? The script is similar, although there are some additional parts. Our art has also improved as we continue to practice. No MS Paint this time ≧◡≦! You can see our milestones here: https://www.amoebasisters.com/milestones We did decide to create an updated free student handout---we don't always update old video handouts, but we wanted to improve it: https://www.amoebasisters.com/handouts . Just like the old handout, it still covers two videos----"DNA vs RNA" & "Protein Synthesis." Still prefer the old video (and handout)? No worries! We try to not delete old videos and you can find it here: https://youtu.be/0Elo-zX1k8M

I’m 35 with no biology knowledge behind me studying Paramedic Science all the way in Scotland. I have understood more about DNA and RNA from these videos than the textbooks and lecture videos. It’s given me a baseline for further understanding.
I love the combination of teaching with the cartoons (I’m a big kid really) which are humorous, love the accent and it’s clear the passion for the subject. More teachers / lectures need to be like this. It’s concerning how much I love these videos.

I take time to always go through your channel and refresh on material that comes up on the test and thanks for teaching me how to learn and memorize how the different chains connect from DNA and RNA. I was having so much trouble with that. You gals are amazing!!!! Pinky thanks for teaching me and petunia love the art work. I’m an artist myself. It’s really great work. Thanks again gals

Once during class while we were learning about mitosis and DNA, The science teacher showed us a few of your videos. They were really helpful because they taught us helpful facts about DNA in a humorous and engaging way with very good colorful pictures. Most of the kids didn't watch you ever again but I did and got a 20/20 on the test and everyone was like "HOW did u do that" now its about 2 months later and coronavirus is striking so there is no school. Yet my mom said I was going to have to do some education everyday including 45 minutes of science. So I asked her if I could watch science videos and my mom said she had to approve of them, so I showed her your video about meiosis and then my sister (who had the same teacher) walked by and said, "Oh the Amoeba Sisters, yeah they great." Then my mom approved of the video and now for 45 minutes for what I'm assuming is going to be the whole next month, I'm gonna watch your videos.
Thank you so much

It's easier for me to memorise the pairing of the bases like this:
I remember A and T are always paired together cause their letter uses straight lines
I remember C and G are always paired together because their letter uses curved lines
(This is just my opinion tho)

So at the end when the DNA is matched with a U instead of a T from the mRNA, how does that alter the DNA expression, quality, integrity?
And where does the DNA that was replaced by the mRNA go?
Happy to be pointed to resources if you don’t have a direct answer. Thank you!

5:23 I'm sorry, I was kinda confused here, when I look at the mRNA, which its codon is supposed to read in 5' -> 3' order, but it starts with UAA as can be seen from the video, and this codon is in charge of terminating the process of translating? Is the video just an example or I misunderstood something? Btw sorry for bad English, it's my second language :)

What do you think about the new technology today used in Covid vaccine? using m-RNA to create a protein part of the virus itself? How good are they to create the proper combination decoding that virus. Do you have an answer on this?

DNA code can be equated to a type of computer language. DNA code is more complex than regular computer language in that it is not binary (based on 0 and 1). It is quaternary (based on A T C G). And, as with every known language in existence, confirmed through scientific experiment and observation, is the product of only one thing ... mind/ consciouness /intelligence. ...
"The discovery of the structure of DNA transformed biology profoundly, catalysing the sequencing of the human genome and engendering a new view of biology as an INFORMATION SCIENCE. Two features of DNA structure account for much of its remarkable impact on science: its DIGITAL nature and its complementarity, whereby one strand of the helix binds perfectly with its partner. DNA has two types of DIGITAL INFORMATION — the genes that ENCODE proteins, which are the MOLECULAR MACHINES of life, and the GENE REGULATORY NETWORKS that specify the behaviour of the genes." (Source: Nature Journal, Nature com)
"Language: ALL DIGITAL communications require a formal language, which in this context consists of all the information that the sender and receiver of the digital communication must both possess, in advance, in order for the communication to be successful." (Wikipedia: Digital Data)
”The instructions in a gene that tell the cell how to make a specific protein. A, C, G, and T are the "letters" of the DNA code; they stand for the chemicals adenine (A), cytosine (C), guanine (G), and thymine (T), respectively, that make up the nucleotide bases of DNA. Each gene's code combines the four chemicals in various ways to spell out three-letter "words" that specify which amino acid is needed at every step in making a protein.” ( “Genetic Code - National Human Genome Research Institute” Genome . gov)
”Genetic code is the term we use for the way that the four bases of DNA--the A, C, G, and Ts--are strung together in a way that the cellular machinery, the ribosome, can read them and turn them into a protein. In the genetic code, each three nucleotides in a row count as a triplet and code for a single amino acid. So each sequence of three codes for an amino acid. And proteins are made up of sometimes hundreds of amino acids. So the code that would make one protein could have hundreds, sometimes even thousands, of triplets contained in it.” (Lawrence C. Brody, Ph.D., Genome dot gov)
Modern scientific discoveries in Genetics (i.e. biology) have shown that functional / coded / digital Information (i.e. DNA code) is at the core of ALL Biological Systems. Without functional / coded / digital information, there is NO biology. The only known source (i.e. cause) in the universe that has been Observed in nature to be capable of producing functional / coded / digital information, such as that found even in the most primitive biological systems, is mind / consciousness / intelligence.

Own research brought me here. Interested to hear from people with a biology/chemistry background on the following :
1- unbiased efficacy of current RT-PCR testing factoring in WHO’s own admission for precious cycle de-amplification
2- whether 27hours to peer review RT-PCR methodology in diagnosing 2019-nCoV is considered normal. Further details for interested reader below:

Not trolling. Looking for open debate, something which is missing currently.
