Herbert Kroemer (Germany) and Jack Kilby (USA), winner 2000, look surprisingly (exactly) alike!

You have Russia/UK for André Geim, so why not Poland/France for Marie Curie and Netherlands/USA voor Nicolaas Bloembergen (and I wouldn't be surprised if there were more). Also, Herbert Kroemer and Jack Kilby (2000) got the same photo (= Kroemer).

Nicolaas Bloembergen was Dutch born, Dutch schooled and married a Dutch woman. They got the American Nationality in 1958, he was 38 at that moment.

some of the reasons are very vague like Einstein. he got it for explaining the photoelectric effect. also the persons have nationality and citizenship, not clear which one is here. be precise man.

Very interesting to see how, as the years marched on, the Prize came to be shared by two or three physicists, rather than a single heroic figure in the early years. I'm not sure if it's a belated recognition of real-life collaboration by the Nobel Committee, or if collaboration really did become the winning approach to scientific advances.
Chandrasekhar, whose work is beyond reproach, is the most deserving of the Prize for the appallingly unprofessional, unscientific opposition he suffered at the hands of Eddington (a man I otherwise admire very much).
Meanwhile, I feel my chances for a Nobel, and an Olympic Gold Medal, are slipping fast . . . yes, see now? I'm on the fading side of the Doppler shift . . . help!!

You missed Francis Crick (UK), James Watson (USA), and Maurice Wilkins (UK), as Nobel Laurates in 1962 for their work on the discovery of the structure of DNA. Extremely important work! Why? How many more, I wonder.
